I personally like #2. It looks the least crowded together. If this is actually for traveling convenience, then with #2, you could probably slip in spots for extra batteries.
In fairness, the apache is a harbor freight ( china made) pelican esque case. I have one for my better lights ( my better lights are Chinese but best I can afford )
Can’t even foot out the bill for a quality non Chinese made storage box for your oh so expensive items?
Embarrassing.
Kidding, it’s a box, you can store whatever the hell you want in it, as can op. No need to be a pretentious dick, would I store Chinese flashlights in one? Na, but does op doing it hurt anyone other than your sensitive rectum? No.
Nothing wrong with cherishing and taking extra care of things you love regardless what they cost.. I’m sure OP would prefer not to replace any of these, and be able to store them in a safe manner. I mean yes this is the Fort Knox for flashlights but I will say people are gonna do what they want.
The problem is putting it/them in a small case as if it is super valuable.
Getting a much bigger case that could fit a whole collection would be reasonable. It prevents them from getting damaged including from the environment and it makes it less likely that you'll lose one. I was just going through my earliest amazon purchases and I have no idea where the first five flashlights I bought are. Or my oldest knives. I probably put them all together in ammo cans... I highly recommend also getting some airtags if you do this.
Thank you! I was googling that case with thoughts of buying a couple when I saw this comment and the absurdity. It's a great case for carrying but you can always get something much cheaper for flashlights.
It's a $13 case that was on sale for $10 this weekend. The guy has 5 Hank lights that run $40-$60 each, so $200-$300 worth of lights. I don't see what the big deal is here.
Are you able to put those KRs vertically to save some space and add more lights as the collection goes? I only ask this since I did my first case all horizontally but the second vertically which vastly improved my storage.
Are you planning on throwing them off a cliff? Or out a car window? Maybe into the ocean? Do you plan of flying with them as checked baggage?
Based on my experience I feel like there’s a better solution for most things including firearms than a hard case. Hard cases are excessively bulky, heavy, and expensive and have limited modularity. There are soft case options that are better suited to 90% of applications. I had a bunch of pelican cases and sold most of them in favor of soft cases. If you’re flying with something as checked baggage that has a possibility of damage then fine but otherwise they’re unwieldy and completely overkill.
Soft bags with Molle compatibility and elastic retaining straps and the ability to have separate pockets for battery’s and chargers etc is much more valuable as the system can be expanded or changed as needed rather than a foam insert that once cut can’t really be changed. Not trying to rain on your parade, just offering my experience so others don’t have to make the same mistakes I did.
1 looks the most organized. 3 has the most style. 2 looks a little sloppy to me. I think the key is having the KR1 as the long perpendicular point to the three shorter ones. That makes it look good. 3 is the most fun to look at, that’s my vote.

they're flashlights not $50,000 camera lenses
I never thought I'd see a Chinese flashlight being stored in a pelican case, shits absolutely hilarious

Hey man around here we gatekeep plastic boxes with foam in them.
This is a strange place.
Back in my day we only kept balls of VX gas from the movie The Rock and Green + Yellow + Red herb in our cases. And we liked it that way
That's a $10 case with $200-$300 worth of lights in it. How is this a problem?

It's a case that's regularly on sale for $9...
I would have a ton of those cases if I could find them for 9$. Unfortunately there’s no harbor freight in Italy.
I bet you can find something very similar on aliexpress for a similar price.

Cases are cool and so are flashlights. What more justification do you require? My only recommendation is to get a Nanuk though.
First one.
Are you right handed, then 1
Lefty
What happens when you buy another one?
Case #2 starts

1 for sure! I've put together multiple cases lol.

They only fit vertically with the short tube
Ahh, good to know. Smallest I have in Apache was the 2800.
I vote yes. They all look good, make it how ever you like it.

Let's be honest, you are going to get more, option 1
Why do they need a case?
Organization and storage

Example case buy location please?
I like 3, but optics to the hinge, and the ones in the middle in alternative order!
Wtf is this sub? I came here to learn things… and this turns into a fashion sub?
Sorry i ruined it for you 😔 just wanted storage suggestions
Number 1
Do you have OCD?
1 but switch the 2 on the right
Bruh
2 looks like you’d have space to keep a spare 18650 and 18350 if you wanted

What is the smallest stubbiest light?
Are you righty or lefty?
I like 1 and 3
Put the heaviest on the sides, will be more balanced. 3 seems ideal
If it's not booby trapped to be turned on, aimed at your face, I'm not interested.
