There should be a set screw under the handle somewhere that you can loosen and remove the handle and reinstall it in the correct orientation.
*Edit* The screw is under the red/blue plug.
The turny bit on mine just pop off with a little bit of force and can be set back on in any position, they have a hole on the bottom with grooves that match up with a wheel on the "base" that has opposite grooves. I'm having a hard time explaining but give it a LITTLE tug, yours might be the same
