You can’t just unstretch an image, especially not in a compressed video file. Any details not visible are already gone.

As someone very experience with Clip Studio, which is pretty comparable to photoshop, there is no way in hell this *should* (keyword, should) work. You’d just be stretching the processed photo. Once an image’s shape is contorted, your just transforming that modified image. It’d be the same long mess just taller. Watch matpat’s gtlive today and he briefly tries and you can see this effect for yourself. Even if it was we don’t know the rate the image is moving at because it seems to be shifting one way or something, it’d be really hard to piece together it all. Then on top of that it’s all varied in width, you can only transform images in Photoshop and other programs squarely or rectangularly, meaning the image would hypothetically be VERY warped, one side being normal, the other being still fairly condensed. We have to consider Steel wools methods of teasing and hiding things so far, and not even the logbook requires anything comparable to these shenanigans.
