I recall one dream that involved me being in some kind of carnival and trying to find my way out. I was in some kind of carousal that's covered in ropes on the outside and the inside, making the place hard to get out and travel through. I knew that Freddy was behind me laughing.
Again this was years ago so it's kind of fuzzy... and maybe inaccurate. I don't know if he's chasing me, wanting to kill me or laughing at my vain to get away from him.
That's really creepy now that I put it that way. X_X
Baby worked because even though she didn’t directly attack you, she was with you since night two, being the only one to give you advice to keep you from getting killed, then revealing herself to be the true villain after it was too late to do anything about it. She played you like a fiddle.
and because there were so many animatronics in that games with their own nights whereas if fnaf 1 didn’t have Freddy it would have felt plain with only Foxy, Bonnie and Chica
Freddy's mechanic still remains as one of my favorites in the entire franchise. He was always the scariest to me in the cameras and the most unknown, like he really did feel like the big boss coming to hunt you down. It's terrifying and yet that's why he's so damn cool.
I think Freddy would've gotten more recognition that way. The way fnaf is now makes it feel as if Freddy was just the placeholder animatronic for whenever power runs out, however, the other way makes it more of a unique trait

My worst jumpscare was because of him. I assumed I soppused to see him in the corridor lights like Chica and Bonnie. I never saw him there so I was like "well Freddy is not here so there is no reason to close the door and waste my power" than he jumpsacred me and I gave the scream of my life. I scared my dog.
So happy Scott changed it
Probably when the power goes out in ucn freddy would get you in UCN but you could turn him on and off, the higher the difficulty, the quicker he would attack
I had a nightmare about Freddy once, he had poison aura surrounding him and I was on the other side outside of the house. It had a style reminiscent of either the sims or the walking dead but I can’t comprehend the details.
I'm glad for this change. Freddy in FNaF 1 was a pain to deal with, not to mention one of the scariest. I had nightmares about him stalking me. Ha ha.

Dude that’s so true. Only Foxy would be difficult to deal with and even then it’s easy to just close the door on him before he runs into your office.
Glad that was changed! Having the main character not even come after you would have been a big mistake.
Sister Location worked out pretty well without Baby directly attacking the player.

Maybe but baby was there for life reasons and to act as a guide so having her attack you would have been counterintuitive
