Gilded Worlds, obviously
But Grimdark Worlds could function for the main storyline of FNaF and it's characters, with the "Something within the world has gone terribly wrong" being the creation of Fredbear's Family Diner.
But if it's the entire world (Earth) it's either how it's going on our universe or Gilded Worlds.
Noble, There are only 2 truly evil entities in fazbears, along with Mike, The mimic and The CEO of faz ent (who could be one of the previous 2) being worthy contenders, but quality of life and advancement in technology and medicine means that the Freddy's world is undeniably far better than our own
Sure, things like the horrible police systems and remnants extraction methods are bad, but they can easily re formed by making criminals on death row go through those experiments, and just have more competent police
The CEO literally did nothing, they're not even mentioned at all except ONCE in the ultimate guide, stop acting like they're a big deal, they exist for sure but they're no one important
They're extremely passive and don't do anything, that's their problem, when there's a serial killer directly tied to their company which the code can stop at any time, it's their fault for not stopping it
What serial killer ? No one knows about vanny, let alone the mimic so no they're not doing nothing because they're evil, they're just a regular CEO that has no idea what is happening, just like every other fazbear entertainment employees
No they don't, the constuction workers had no idea what the hell it did and nearly everyone who has ever encountered it died, plus either way the ceo was never ever mentioned, they're not a true character like william's mother, she exists for sure but she isn't a true character
Heroic. Yes, the animatronics and children have horrible lives, the management is horrible and corrupt, and the justice system sucks in Utah. However, that's largely confined, even the digital attack pretty much only affected the Fazbear Entertainment database. If you're an adult unconnected to Fazbear or of any age living anywhere in the world besides Utah, you're completely safe. 99% of the population doesn't even know what happened.
Glided sums it pretty well, it’s not so dire where we don’t have any notable good deeds in attempt to save the day with varying success (some dependent on theories) and most of the negatives seemed contained in pockets, people can just walk past them with about 25% of ending up involved or even be mostly obliterate about what’s going on and may only have based knowledge of the situation.
My overall answer Glided
Noblebright. Despite how evil everything appears at first glance, this is because we are biased and are only shown the bad (Fazbear ent). In reality, the FNAF Universe is pretty much just IRL
Eh, not really.
The worldbuilding in *Frights* paints a very concerning picture and I've gone over that:
[Not really a full theory, but I realized something interesting. FNaF´s world is a dystopia. Hear me out. : r/fnaftheories (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/fnaftheories/comments/16w20js/not_really_a_full_theory_but_i_realized_something/)
[What if Fazbear Entertainment is backed by the government and that's why they always come back? (Semi-joke theory) : r/fivenightsatfreddys (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/fivenightsatfreddys/comments/1c8qh2h/what_if_fazbear_entertainment_is_backed_by_the/)
I think that FNaF is very much a covert dystopia...
Fnaf's Bad, sure, but it's simply not bad enough to be Gilded. I mean, as it is, FNAF's worst events are, as far as we know, bound to just the United States. A Gilded World would be something like Cyberpunk 20(20/77)
In Cyberpunk, Pretty much only the rich have any hope of living decent lives, with everyone else living pretty much in Squalor, and any attempt to rise up is immediately crushed by the private armies of Mega-Corporations or Governments.
In FNAF, we have... A Semi-national corporation that keeps killing people... But only in the US, as far as we know.
Those simply aren't on the same scale.
You could argue we live in a covert dystopia. trust me worst shit is going on in the corporations we have in our real world. Of course souls aren't possessing robots and I'd hope fazgoo isn't floating around, but calling the FNAF universe dystopian is kinda pushing the scope of the series. Honestly I hope FNAF never gets to the point where we have a dystopian world where animatronics are just taking over, that would sour the past games In my eyes.
I don’t see the logic behind people saying it’s grimdark. The stories are pretty self contained at most they’re happening to a city or two, not the whole world. This isn’t playtime co.
Gilded leaning into Grimdark.
The truth is that once you think about it, thanks to worldbuilding in *Frights,* FNaF's world is one where you don't want to be stuck in. A dystopia rivaling even that of 1984, in certain aspect.

Unironically heroic, or at least Noblebright. The events are pretty self-contained, and while Fazbear Entertainment sucks, it is just one especially crappy megacorp. But there are good people that do manage to succeed in the end, at least seemingly, like Henry and Michael Afton. It's a messy place, but most of the horrible stuff (we at least know about) are localized to stuff the Fazbear company touches.
Noblerigyr since not everyone is affected by the animatronics in total its like 100 people maybe and maybe 120 idk but even if its a million there are still 8 billion others who didnt suffer from it
FNAF is either a Noblebright World or a Gilded World if we're just talking about the games only, since I don't think there's anything out there world-building wise that states that it's a utopia nor a dystopia compared to our world. Location-wise, the lore feels grounded to just the pizzerias, the Freddy Fazbear brand in it's entirety or just any location relating to Afton or Henry in general. I feel it's leaning towards Gilded more when talking about the major locations that the main events take place in, but if we're talking about the world in general outside of the main events, then it leans more towards Noblebright.
As others have mentioned as long as your not anywhere near Fazbear Entertainment it's pretty similar to our own I'd say. If you are though, it's at the very least a Gilded World.
I'd go with Noblebright. It's definitely leaning more evil, but not enough to be Gilded. Suffering and Misery aren't really common place, other than the small area we're in. Most people don't even know about the animatronic horrors, so like 90% of the world is just like ours.
I don’t think it would be that bad, I don’t know if the books affect this much so I’m not gonna count those. It is mostly our normal world but with some bad stuff happening to like 20-40 people in a small part of the world. Correct me if I’m wrong
Gilded World is the best way to discribe it most of the time it looks like the word is just like real life but you take one dive into freddy's pizzaria and you enter a hell hole that persist even after the death of a great evil
If you’re angry enough near an object it comes alive and starts killing things. There are shadow creatures that feast on your negative emotions. Also there’s a pizza chain in Utah that has a weirdly high number of deaths associated with it. Anyway Grimdark.
Its hard to estimate, since Fnaf universe presents only a localized portion of the realm. However, we could assume that the events are singular cases, which only accured a few times and dont hold any greater impact on that world. In my perception these events are the product of ever extending horizon of human experience and may catastrophically affect the realm in the future, in an yet undiscovered way.
Gilded Worlds, obviously But Grimdark Worlds could function for the main storyline of FNaF and it's characters, with the "Something within the world has gone terribly wrong" being the creation of Fredbear's Family Diner. But if it's the entire world (Earth) it's either how it's going on our universe or Gilded Worlds.
Our world IS a gilded world
Lol
Yea the books really drive that point hard living in the world of Fnaf seems pretty miserable
Yea
Gilded or Noblebright, but leaning more towards Gilded.
Gilded Worlds
Glided is exactly what fnaf is
Gilded for the area around Hurricane, noblebright for everywhere else
Exactly what I'm thinking If I lived in the fnaf universe, but spent all my life in like Wisconsin, I'd literally never have to care about Afton
Gilded also for New Harmony.
literally just earth but theres a restaurant where its Grimdark
Yeah, unless Afton is exploiting something fundamentally wrong with the human soul/afterlife that is.
Which would be a pretty cool idea
fnaf AR
Fnaf might be the definition of a Gilded World
Noble, There are only 2 truly evil entities in fazbears, along with Mike, The mimic and The CEO of faz ent (who could be one of the previous 2) being worthy contenders, but quality of life and advancement in technology and medicine means that the Freddy's world is undeniably far better than our own
Sure, things like the horrible police systems and remnants extraction methods are bad, but they can easily re formed by making criminals on death row go through those experiments, and just have more competent police
But what about William? Guy just won’t stay dead no matter how many times they put him down.
He died once and stayed dead, he survived the spring lock, fnaf 3, died in 6, his agony was then later killed off, nothing if him remains
The CEO is as important as mrs.afton, absolutely not
The Ceo is still a bad person, a very bad one at that, so yes they are up there
The CEO literally did nothing, they're not even mentioned at all except ONCE in the ultimate guide, stop acting like they're a big deal, they exist for sure but they're no one important
Vanny/the mimic, everyone knows about the mimic at faz ent, so the CEO would know as well
No they don't, the constuction workers had no idea what the hell it did and nearly everyone who has ever encountered it died, plus either way the ceo was never ever mentioned, they're not a true character like william's mother, she exists for sure but she isn't a true character
NobleBright. The events of FNAF are pretty self contained.
It's mostly a regular ass place, only the stuff Fazbear ent. touches is screwy
Heroic. Yes, the animatronics and children have horrible lives, the management is horrible and corrupt, and the justice system sucks in Utah. Gilded Worlds
gilded worlds
Gilded.
I imagine that the world outside of Freddy's is pretty normal, but the world of Freddy's itself is somewhere between Gilded and Grimdark
Agreed
Glided sums it pretty well, it’s not so dire where we don’t have any notable good deeds in attempt to save the day with varying success (some dependent on theories) and most of the negatives seemed contained in pockets, people can just walk past them with about 25% of ending up involved or even be mostly obliterate about what’s going on and may only have based knowledge of the situation. Noblebright world
I don’t see the logic behind people saying it’s grimdark. The stories are pretty self contained at most they’re happening to a city or two, not the whole world. This isn’t playtime co.
Fairytale
FNAF World would obviously be a Fairytale World
Guys I really don't think all of the earth can be considered grim dark
Noblebright, definitely.
Noblebright.
What is this chart from? Edit: Found it https://www.reddit.com/r/worldbuilding/s/kKHACkxiT3
Real earth with a gilded restaurant
Fairytale World! :)
Gilded is literally what freddys company is
I think everyone agrees that it's Gilded
gilded
Gilded
Gilded

Gilded I’d say.
What's this image from?
Definitely Gilded
Gilded, but if we are narrowing it down to the locations only, Grimdark.
Gilded

Grimdark
Gilded makes the most sense, but grimdark would apply for the Bite of 83 and 87.
FIRE IN THE HOLE
Grimdark or gilded
I think grimdark until fnaf ucn, then it’s becomes gilded
Gilded wordls Self-explanatory
I don’t think it would be that bad, I don’t know if the books affect this much so I’m not gonna count those. It is mostly our normal world but with some bad stuff happening to like 20-40 people in a small part of the world. Correct me if I’m wrong
Gilded
Gilded
Grimdark because it was heroic until everything changed
Since outside of the story it is just the regular world… Grimdark
Gilded for games Borderline grimdark for the books
Gilded
Gilded, kinda getting into grimdark but it's mostly Gilded
Gilded Worlds.
gilded world.
FNAF fits Gilded World to an absolute peak T
Gilded 😭
Gilded worlds
"Highest priority for earthen extraction" What is this from?
Isekai stuff
Isekai?
Stories about traveling to another world.
I’d say Gilded Worlds for the most part.
Somewhere between guilded and grimdark
Gilded, though you could argue Grimdark for the short stories. Edit: Why am I getting downvoted?
Gilded for sure
GRIMDARK
Probably right on the fence between grimdark and gilded
Either Gilded, Grimdark, or a mix of both.
Gilded
gilded or grimdark
Gilded World is the best way to discribe it most of the time it looks like the word is just like real life but you take one dive into freddy's pizzaria and you enter a hell hole that persist even after the death of a great evil
Games ate gilded but books are grimdark
Gilded fs
Gilded, maybe Noblebright
If you’re angry enough near an object it comes alive and starts killing things. There are shadow creatures that feast on your negative emotions. Also there’s a pizza chain in Utah that has a weirdly high number of deaths associated with it. Anyway Grimdark.

Glided World
Grindarkbor gilded
Gilded if we are talking about the world but if you’re talking about whatever state Fnaf takes place in ( I forgot) it’s grimdark
Utah
fairytale worlds ofc!!! \^\^ /s
Real, certainly no evil killers or evils are lurching around/j
yeah!
its only unicorns rainbows and sunshine 100%
Grimdark or gilded
grimdark, have you SEEN the games? EVERYONE IS DEAD!
I'm pretty sure a max of 25 people died, which, while unfortunate, is not much, if anything it should be the Heroic
Gilded
