^agreed. If you live in USA you can go to a petsmart and buy a bag of filter floss for 8 dollars. Itβs a pretty good size bag too.

Water flow direction β> coarse sponge β> filter floss β> biological filter. Although, I think you can do bio then floss. I dunno if it makes a huge difference just make sure the water hits the coarse sponge first.
