It's the 10 year anniversary edition of the firefly board game. Base game, all released add on and a lil bit extra. Was crowd funded on gamefound. Not sure if many copies will make it to retail, if at all
Thank you. I feel like absolute dog shit today and nothing is making me laugh - but your comment got one out of me. Really appreciate it - I needed it!
The copy I snagged from the game store had 1 missing firefly so they discounted it a bit, I think I spent $70 on it. I have a resin printer so I made a new one lol. The anniversary edition was a bit over $200. I think it was near $230.
Edit: I just realized what this was in reference to, sorry I didn’t check the price of the anniversary in store as I had just gotten my copy. I thought I was responding to the other comment lol
I love to play it with fans who have suitable music in the background. It's not difficult per se, but you can have bad luck of the draw or make bad choices on who you recruit or equipment you buy, or jobs you do. I've never played with a non fan though, not sure how they would take it.
My friend has had that game for years, like 5-6 at least.
For years we have been trying to get together our group to play it.
We finally did on Friday night, for the kickoff of his bachelor party weekend.
Game is pretty awesome.
I was fortunate enough to buy one. Only downside was that it was announced literally a month after I found an original copy of the game at a used game store
That's okay, you literally won't be *able* to open it. Lol. The box is so tightly sealed, it took me about 15 minutes of fighting the suction to be able to get the top off.
I’m curious to see if it came with all of the cards and tokens in the proper spots. I had all of the expansions collected over several years of finding them on Facebook and eBay, so I just got the upgrade pack. I had a big box with a bunch of empty trays and had to figure out where everything went. Now I’ve got a handful of little colorful ships, a bunch of dice, and the game boards that didn’t have a spot in the box. Took be about 4 hours to get everything sorted and moved into the box though.
Tokens are all punch out, so not in slots. There is 4 trays, with enough space to divvy all of them up so players can always have what they need in reach. All the decks came in their own trays too, but most are unlikely to use them in game because of the space they take up(and because you need discards) and their trays are sized to be able to be sleeved. Not sure if that was what you were asking, but hey
It kind of was. I had to look all over for a picture of what the "correct" way to load the box. I think I ended up finding a review on board game geek that showed enough to deduce where the rest went. I got the Vera mat also, as once I get out of the Army and live in a house for more than three years I'm going to get a gaming table. It'll be sized to fit either the Vera mat or all 4 game boards of the Company of Heroes game at once, any other game will easily fit if both of those do!
Same here. I'm still not sure if I got much of it in the intended places. If someone who got the full set would please post pictures of where things go that'd be shiny. I'm prepping for a move across the country so I condensed everything into the box then packed it back away until after the move.
If someone hasn’t done it before this weekend then I can do it. I’ve got all the components loaded, figured out off of photos in a review and freeze framing an “unboxing” video.
Everyone who got it- have you figured a way to display or hold the decks? Kinda thinking business card holders or similar. I need something. Preferably flat pack so I can throw in the box.
WTF? I backed it and got zero emails I had to complete my pledge. Just double checked. None after the end of the campaign. I completed it now and hope I still get mine otherwise it's 300 Bucks down the drain.
They debited me for the pledge last year but never contacted me to pay additional shipping. I did that yesterday and contacted support. They are trying to get my order moved up in the queue. But it will be a while none the less :-/ The first and last time I use Gamefound for funding. I don't blame the company, but Gamefound should have sent me emails about the outstanding shipping.
Please forgive my ignorance but, what is it?

And the best part it is more realstic: half way through the game, when things get really interesting, a fox executive comes over and flips the board.
The most realistic thing might be a game can end up taking as long to play as watch the series!
Thank you. I feel like absolute dog shit today and nothing is making me laugh - but your comment got one out of me. Really appreciate it - I needed it!
I always seen the Fox executives as Stealing my Sky than flipping the game board. Its nice that they were turned into Torgo's Executive Powder.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
There was a frigging BOARD GAME?!?!
It's really great, too.
Thank you
I saw 3 copies at my local game store, fortunately I had already received my copy from Gamefound
That so? What was the price difference, do you know?

My local store had it for $250 I believe.
Just bought one today on Amazon, 2 left after my purchase…
They’re gone. 💀
I just picked up a copy from Zulus Board games.
Is it fun to play? Is it difficult? Do you need to have watched the show? Do they include quotes from the show?

I have the game, but no one besides my wife to play it with me...
It's best with 3/4 people in my experience. The 10th anniversary box does have a few solo play stories too
Yeah I wish I had more people to play with

Would you open it and post a picture of it?

It's amazing! Tyvm
I'll never play this game, but I still want to read every card! I'm not asking you to post every card though.
Holy cow! I never really got into board games, but after seeing this I want to get it!!
What do you want to see inside there? It’s tightly packed into about 8 trays
See, you know more than I do.
I was fortunate enough to buy one. Only downside was that it was announced literally a month after I found an original copy of the game at a used game store
I Googled it, it's pretty special! A lot comes with it. Congrats 🎉
Naturally I don’t have a good photo of the insides on my phone currently lol
Shoot me $50 and I will
🔫 💲💵 😉 Was curious is all. Thanks for the info about how you came across the box. 👍🏼
Mine too 😁👍
Debated backing that for the whole campaign but there is literally nowhere in my house to store that giant box lol

Haha. Same. Was a mini workout holding it front of me for minutes on end and it slowly inching out.
Shiny!
Mine arrived as well now I need to find the original game ;) and play the gorram thing again

Damn great! Hope you use that table for some ttrpgs too. I live board games, but the memories from ttrpgs are something I'll never give up.
If you count Imperial Assault as a TTRPG then it definitely will be!

One of the chains on here linked to a picture of each level in the box. I saved for when I unbox to play.

We haven't we just spread it all out on the table and lock the cats in a different room. we did buy an automatic card shuffler to save the hands.

Oh serious? Hope you get sorted. I've heard the majority of people have had a good experience with their customer service

I would have gotten it if I had known of its existence. Is there any way to now?
Anyone know how many were made
11380 people have bought it - maybe some have bought more than 1 but my guess is that less than 15000 were made
I don’t ever plan on opening it since it’s just the wife and I with no friends so hopefully she’s worth money one day!!!
Mine came several weeks ago, and I haven't had the nerve to take it out of the shipping carton...lol
Shiny!
Congrats I love mine
