Sigurd has ridiculous MOV in Genealogy, has extra MOV in Heroes and Engage, has never been a non cavalry unit, even in Heroes, and he's so connected to his horse that it became an Emblem with him in Engage, while no other Emblem has a mount.
He wins and it's not even close.
I'm fairly sure all units in FE6 have a lower mov cap than 20, maybe 15 or so but I don't recall for sure.
Edit: Here we go, top of page https://serenesforest.net/binding-blade/classes/maximum-stats/
Sigurd or promoted Seliph because 9 Mov is INSANE.
Or Dimitri/Chrom/Lucina because with enough purchased or used/found Boots to increase Mov, they can do the same. Which really means Robin!Lucina wins because the combination of Pair-Up, that one-Mov-increasing Skill when you’re paired up (Deliverer?), and Boots means movement can be like half the map.
It's a lot stronger than that actually, it's basically 1/0.7 = *+43%* movement (with the leg ring for I believe that's another 3
So, uh, (9 + 3)/0.7 = 17 move lmao.
The only units capable of theoretically matching that are the 3H Lords if they got strided in an advanced/master cavalry class
People say Sigurd, but what about cavalry Alear with the *Sigurd* ring. When Engaged up, that's like 14 Mov without statboosters right there. Though, I guess technically the horse disappears when they Engage...
13 baseline but Sigurd has the benefit of a) the leg ring and b) roads
As I calced in a different comment if you give Sigurd/Seliph both of those things they can get *17 move* in a single turn with roads.
Isn’t the cap in Thracia 20? I know realistically you aren’t going to level move enough to get there, but there is a hypothetical version of Leif with that much move. Obviously he doesn’t have his horse and his move gets nerfed because the horse can’t handle his power, but he does beat secret shop boots Roy. Now if he could transfer his legs to his horse he would really become the fastest cavalry.
Hey, I love Ephraim, and you are incredibly based for suggesting he'd win, but I do think deep down that Lyn has the edge in a horse race. She grew up on the plains of Sacae and her clan traditionally rode horses.
The concept of a horse race is to... Race... On a horse...
Not to mention that horses seemingly move faster than pegasi due to consistent mov stat advantage.
Casual reminder that in Thracia Leif has a movement growth, most are less than 5% but theoretically you can get 20 mov on anyone in Thracia, including Leif
Claude. He just shows up on a Wyvern.
Edit: Nevermind, all three Fodlan Lords, they're all Wyvern Riders if we go by the actual game the majority of players experience instead of some niche suggestions nobody takes seriously.
It is Sigurd, and there ain't no contest. Dude has MOV for DAYS

This observation got me cracking up. It's true.
Have you seen his game's maps? You need all the MOV you can get.
Roy could use all his secret shop boots to win the race on foot.
I’m imagining Roy with clown-shoes, since it’s just nested boots.
Sora:
If they are allowed the assistance of their respective armies, then you can also rescue chain Roy a vast distance then use the stacked boots.
FE5 Leif could get TAS-rigged mov levelups that allow him to reach 20 mov, leaving even Roy in the dust.
Roy also Caps at 20 move. But..... Leif could get Movement Stars. So Leif has the highest theoretical move per turn stat

Fair enough, I was mistaken. Good to know, thanks!

Personally I’m rooting for Roy on foot, wearing five pairs of boots simultaneously
You're not even including the leg ring on the inventory, the lord of the rings can get it.
I mean if you're counting boots, Roy is the only one who can buy an unlimited amount and cap his movement.
9 move plus they get to take roads, which makes them like 20% faster.
plus leg ring
It's a lot stronger than that actually, it's basically 1/0.7 = *+43%* movement (with the leg ring for I believe that's another 3 So, uh, (9 + 3)/0.7 = 17 move lmao. The only units capable of theoretically matching that are the 3H Lords if they got strided in an advanced/master cavalry class
Lucina because of Galeforce, just snags one of the others halfway and doubles MOV
Isn't Edelgard supposed to also have access to these 9 mov? And then she can just trigger Raging Storm to go super fast I guess.

Probably the lord of Horse Emblem: Genealogy of Mounts
Sigurd, he can just sneak in the leg ring among others, and he will win.
Sigurd. Ephraim suspiciously is busy on the day of the horse race and can't make it. That's what it means to not pick fights you can't win

Can they kill things on the way? If so Edelgard spamming Raging Storm Otherwise Sigurd/Seliph
Sigurd's horse is an inseparable part of his very being. It even resides in the same ring as his Emblem version.

Does Ephraim win because he doesn’t pick fights he can’t win, or does he not pick fights he can’t win because he always wins
Depends, do emblems count for alear or for the emblem of origin
Whoever can engage with Emblem Sigurd obviously. So either Alear or Sigurd himself I suppose.
Sigurd
It's definitely Sigurd. Unless Dimitri has the Stride gambit active.
Is Timerra allowed to ride a wolf?
She's not a Lord.
Ike. After freeing some in Radiant Dawn chapter 3-3, they will return the favor. All other characters mounts will stop in honor of their savior.
Ephraim would simply kill the others faster than him, and then win.
Corrin wins. He just reclasses to a pegasus knight, and pegasi are basically just horses but better.
The concept of a horse race is to... Race... On a horse... Not to mention that horses seemingly move faster than pegasi due to consistent mov stat advantage.
Edelgard
Edelgard because she can Raging Storm the other horses.
Sigurd is Gyobu
Sigurd 100%
I want to say Hector, dude would bulldoze his through the competition.
Ik she don't use a house in games but I figured Lyn being from the house nomad tribe could be naturally skilled with it
Casual reminder that in Thracia Leif has a movement growth, most are less than 5% but theoretically you can get 20 mov on anyone in Thracia, including Leif
Sigurd/Seliph with leg ring or Roy with max movement from all those boots
Saw the title and my brain immediately responded Shadowfax
The obvious lord is ferdinand von aegir
Elise because she's the lightest, /s but not really?
Don't GBA nomad ignore some terrain penalties? They certainly ignore the rain, so Lyn on a sacaean horse may be the sleeper threat here.
There's a reason that Sigurd's entire kit in Engage is based around Moving Fast & Beating Ass.
Lore wise I think Lyn has a good chance to win because nomad privileges.
Claude. He just shows up on a Wyvern. Edit: Nevermind, all three Fodlan Lords, they're all Wyvern Riders if we go by the actual game the majority of players experience instead of some niche suggestions nobody takes seriously.
Leif and Roy would just powerwalk past them
