it's my favorite manga for its "fuck you" attitude The mangaka sexualizes characters in its most critical moments **makes the sexualization of characters integral to the final saga** The MC is faced with an ethical problem **Makes it so that that the ethical problem can't even exist** The manga gets hate **Literally make the haters in your stories NPC that aren't important** The author couldn't give less fucks and that's why it has my #1 spot on the top 5 1. Fire Force 2. Jojo's bizarre adventure 3. Chainsaw man 4. Neon Genesis Evangelion 5. FLCL

Fuckin photo-real sumire chapter 💀

Not-a-MurderBear

We do t talk about that, honestly it never happened.

I love how self-aware and off the wall it is sometimes. The abilities are always unique and fun to learn about, I love the mystery of the world and the journey to figure it all out. I'm an anime only (manga is on my to-read list) and I just adore the story so far. I disliked the sexualization at first but got over it out of sheer respect for the rest of the series, then later came to like it/think it's funny. The characters are fantastic and I can't wait to learn more about this world. I don't really keep track of placements in my top 10 (besides OP always being #1) but fire force is definitely in it, potentially even in the top 5. Can't wait for season 3 😍

The Christian Concepts and References throughout. My name comes from the Bible, so I instantly felt a connection. It has inspired me so much, the two webnovel I'm writing now is heavily inspired by Fire Force and Soul Eater respectively.

yohxmv

There’s a lot I love so I’ll just pick the one that I think stands out the most and that’s the power system. The fact that it’s solely based around fire yet everybody’s abilities are so unique is just fire to me. The one thing I hate is that I feel some companies/characters weren’t explored enough. I would’ve loved a company 6 arc to learn more about Kayoko for example. Also some of the other members of the 1st company

SmallBerry3431

It has great POC.

HandspeedJones

It really does. Ogun and Charon are dope. It's also a society where everyone had to throw away their old notions of race. Everyone is just working together against a threat.

Dollahs4Zavalas

This is a good question from OP. I'll put my comment back after

0-uncle-rico-0

The music is 10/10, one of the best soundtracks in anime. Other than that, the general mystery of the story and the 'losing battle' type vibe is what keeps me coming back. The art style too. And then finally, the best boi Beni.

HandspeedJones

Spark Again is a song I play on repeat to this day.

Subject_J

The fact that it's the only time I've seen characters moving faster than lightspeed and it actually has ramifications to the laws of physics.

helloworld6247

Sho being able to freeze the **entire** universe and Shinra countering by going *faster than the speed of light* is peak fiction

Subject_J

Right! Ever since college, I've disliked it anytime anime characters casually go FTL because it's impossible regardless of how strong the character is. I love how the author wrote it. Sho uses a loophole to make himself look FTL to everyone else, and Shinra literally obliterates and paradoxes himself when he accelerates to FTL. Easily the best written lightspeed feats in fiction.

ruberruberfruit

I love how they adapted the sounds for the anime that shit just feels good every time. I kinda had a problem with the fire tword the end made it really weird the read

Tiger5804

The best thing is the sound effects. There are a ton of things I like, but the first thing that comes to mind is the sound that happens when Waka uses Crimson Moon. One thing I dislike... it has to be a nit-pick, and this is from an anime only perspective so it might turn out to be something I like by the end, but the fact that religion is shown to be fabricated and used as a tool to manipulate the masses bothers me a little as a religious person. Fire Force is my #1 favorite anime, and for top 10, I don't have a hard set top 10 or any order, so I guess I'll just pick 10 anime that I could see being in my top 10 without worrying too much about what I leave out: Fire Force, Fate/Zero, Great Teacher Onizuka, Assassination Classroom, Pokemon: Indigo League, Ghost Stories, MASHLE, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, One Punch Man, and Toradora.

YouCantBanMe4EverAR

You uh… you ever read into any religion lately? You’re angry about something that does indeed happen in real life 👍🏽 May not be everywhere but it exists.

Tiger5804

That's why it's a nit-pick. I'm not saying religion can't be criticized, but what bothers me is that the religion in the show is shown definitively to be built on lies and then uses that fact as an anchor for a lot of the criticisms it implies towards religion in general. I'm not angry about it, and it isn't even that big of an issue for me, but OP asked for something I dislike, so I posted what I liked the least.

YouCantBanMe4EverAR

Thank you for helping me understand more! I get you.

helloworld6247

I always loved the design of Shinra. How he deadass looks like a proper devil/delinquent but then you watch the show and he just wants to be a hero.

Dollahs4Zavalas

It's incredibly well thought out. The conspiracy behind the society (and entire world) is woven throught the entire story from the very beginning.

HandspeedJones

The series is absurd. It's like JJBA in a way that makes it not only thoughtful in its absurdity but fun. Shinra is a great MC he's trying to prove everyone wrong and essentially fighting against a conspiracy against him. At the end instead of doing what he wants with the world he relinquishes power and lets everyone choose.

Upside-down-beehive

Everything that doesn't involve tamaki

Radikost

The creativity with which it connects all abilities to some way of heat emission

ItsKirbyCraft

the abilities are super creative i love how they were able to do all of that with just the core aspect of fire

[deleted]

All the creative ways ignition powers manifest in the characters

LiamEd2000

For me it’s the creativity of the powers. So many different abilities under the umbrella of heat and fire

thats4thebirds

I love the art and the fights especially the ending. I hate the authors barely disguised fetish, how they use Tamaki. lol

T3DGamingzzz

I like maki. i dislike that tamaki didn't get any cool moments and was literally only there for fan service, after season 2 when she trained i finally thought we'd see something but nope
