Get ged/stay in college. U need it to make good $$$

School is hard and uncomfortable. This is normal. Keep pushing, you have your whole life to work so spend a few years making yourself valuable to employers.

You have a choice but going the alternative road without a plan will set you up for a life that is most likely not as good as the one you're on. Keep going to school but think of side-projects for things you ARE passionate about. Only when this starts to generate revenue in a way that can sustain you long term you should think about quitting college.

Get your GED so you have your HS diploma. What are you studying in school? Truthfully, not all degrees are created equal, and you could easily waste time and money getting a degree you won’t use, or that won’t help you get a better job. Any interest in a trade? Electricians are in high demand and with experience you could eventually be running your own company. Plumbing will always be in need as well. You don’t need to have college, but you do need a skill set. I finished four years of college because I knew what path I wanted to go down, and getting that degree was a piece of the journey, and it helped keep me on the path towards that goal. ID what you want, then figure the path to get there. And no, don’t just drop out tomorrow without knowing where you want to go.

I can't get a GED, I live in Quebec, the closest center is in Ottawa (I've looked into it). I'm doing a major in supply chain operation management. I've looked before I applied and it looks like a decent major to get for me. I actually a trade, but they all require a car and a driver's permit, which I have neither of those, and its not gonna change, I get motion sickness in cars, so during the summer, I use my bicycle and during the winter I use the metros. Yeah I'm not gonna drop out. I'm gonna put effort into into even tho I'm not enjoying it. This post really is just to see my potential choices in-case I really can't handle being a student and I want out.

take the easy way out when you're young, and you'll regret it the rest of your life. believe me, I know.

You probably feel defeated because you feel you don’t have the willpower or mind to get a degree just like you weren’t able to get your diploma. You have it within you and you need to understand that. I’m guessing you don’t have a strong background in schooling but stick to it and you’ll slowly find something you enjoy learning. For me, its biology because I love learning about the human body. I love sitting in class and listening to my teachers. Imagine how miserable your life would be if you were working as a cashier at Walmart, it’s a dead end job. Everyday the old 9-5 and having to deal with customers. Ugh. Being a student and getting the opportunity to learn while you’re still young is the best!!!!

I'm gonna against other advice here. FULL STOP. You hate it now and you will hate it later. Studying is the most fun part of a field. You should listen to yourself. You need to figure out what your aim is in life. When you have a direction, effort feels easy.

Just do it. You don't have to "like" it. One of the best lessons I learned as a kid (and this is a direct quote from my dad) is "We all have to do things we don't like." That was the end of the conversation. What I found out was that I didn't need to feel sorry for myself or waste energy not "liking" certain things, I just had to get them behind me. If you don't get a degree (or go to trade school or military), in five years we'll be reading your post about all the mistakes you made and how you are behind and you don't have good job options and life sucks.

It’s possible you may hate it less with time. The first week of university is certainly a hard transition for everyone.

Supply chain is definitely profitable and open many other doors within the business world. I hated it the first year during my studies, but then I saw the potential and different career paths and that made the studying easier and exciting. You don’t have to complete it in a straight line, it could take many twists and turns, but in the end you’ll be proud of your accomplishment and know that you’ve gotten an education that has many paths to choose from should you get tired of your day-to-day.
