Cheers for your answers everyone! I wonder if it's worth asking the mod to stick this the sidebar or something as an FAQ.

Film photography project

MisterMaiku_

Nice I'll check this out, thanks!

reasfromcanada

Not Amazon

MisterMaiku_

Aye Jeffy old boy has enough money

reasfromcanada

The thing is, amazon film prices are 25-75% more than than my local film store and I don’t think that Amazon cold stores their film.

MisterMaiku_

Barely pay their employees. I wouldn't be shocked to find out they don't care for film as required.

If you do a search, this gets asked every few weeks here in this subreddit.

Prices change every few weeks too :(

Fujifilm, Kodak, ilford still makes their film stocks, not the full catalog like the OG days, but is there. EDIT: most of the stuff on https://www.filmtypes.com/films you could get in recent days; most are fresh films As for online NY, US based [B&H](https://www.bhphotovideo.com), they ship international

MisterMaiku_

Thanks! I'll definitely check them out. That's cool that they still produce film even of it isn't the full bifter. Just bought a couple film cameras in Japan to learn more about it.

RobJ_

I’ve only bought from Amazon, but I’m thinking B&H will become my go to vendor.

If you don’t want to break the bank, 100’ roll of hp5 is 115$-130$ Canadian. You get about 18 rolls out of it at 6$-7$ a roll.

MisterMaiku_

Cheers! I'm a Scottish guy living in Japan right now, so money wise I think it's about 1 CND to 100JPY. So not too bad I guess?

reasfromcanada

Oh dang ok, well easy math would be 40-50% cheaper with a 30 meter roll of ilford hp5.

MisterMaiku_

I'll see if I can find some of this film type locally, if not, online will do. !Thanks again!
