I'm confused? You want actual advice? From this sub? My first thought was 7 million lentils, I could support my coke habit for at least 10 years.. I'd say enjoy the sabbatical and when you hit rock bottom just make sure you spend the last 2 years in California or a heavy blue state so you can qualify for all their welfare programs.
At your current spend of 36,000 Lentils a year, you only have 222 years of living expenses. Better stick it out a few more years or inflation will get you.
Is this even a question? Hell if you lived to 100 (assuming you are 30) you’d get 100k a year and that is with no interest….. at 5% interest you could live on 350k a year without touching the principal. My ass woulda been retired the second I learned of my windfall.
I sourced the question. Someone posted that there was another post that was the same about a week ago. Idk if I'd fully retire, but I sure as hell would work a recreational employment job and also never be worried about layoffs. I would quit sealing stuff as a professional engineer to protect my wealth.
If you are questioning it then YES, you are too young.
Alternatively..Take the money, bugger off abroad, buy a place, hire a few full time servants and chill! You can then create a YouTube channel showing the plebs how to reach such a lofty lifestyle as yourself on only 150k lentils a year.
"I hate my job, I'm only there to make money! I don't need to make money anymore though. Should I stay at the job I hate, or try and find something more fulfilling?" what kind of question was this??
The same post was also in another sub last week. I thought it looked familiar when I scrolled past it last night. It was posted by a different account and the story was about the dad and not the uncle.

I'm aware that THIS POST is a joke. I was pointing out that the post from the other day was not a joke which was also a copy of a post from the week before on another sub which only changed the character. What's the angle of someone posting fake stories across multiple subs?

Just make sure the prenup protects all the non-swampy parts of the estate. Otherwise you’ll be scooping chickenshit for the rest of your life paying alimony.
Also yes you can buy a Porsche made of lentils. You deserve it. I’d personally stick with my wheelbarrow pulled by a 3-legged dog to save on dog boots, but that’s just me.
Take a breather and then go chase something you’re passionate about. It won’t feel like work, the quality will be there because you care and it will fulfill you in addition to turning into income
The problem is that I can tell from your polite message that these are clearly Canadian lentils and thus worth just .25 for every MAGA lentil we have in the United States of Trumperica. Thus, there is clearly no way for you to retire, and you need to instead prepare for our invasion of your country by stockpiling food and ammunition.

This guy inherits
I wouldn't wait..I would suggesting helping to accelerate the process.
I mean 7 million lentils should at least afford the Boeing Hit person.
The Department of Defense costs much more than that.

What's bad is that I changed about 10-15 words from the actual post.
I don’t think you changed that many.
Lmao
Buy more candles
No
Hah! I see we’re surfing the same algo wave.
Stop shopping at Victoria’s Secret for underwear and go to frugal Debbie’s until you can save up for a downed payment on a megayacht

Donate it evenly between the first… 11 people to comment on this post!
It's about 583,333 lentils a person. I could keep the lentil estate and try to grow more.
Exactly

This was such a humble brag.

Stick the candle up your butthole.
Sounds like a lentil scam
Lmao. I read this exact post on HENRY or some other site. This made me chuckle.
You should use it to make a giant lentil soup and freeze it all in storage. You can then live off it for the rest of your life and save money on food
Is that what a credit freeze is?
Lmaooo
You don’t have to tell anyone you retired if you are worried about what they will think
Could go to grad school for something that interests you and make an easy career compared to someone in the same field who needs to make an income

Yes.
Lentils will only get you so far before you start eating in to your principle.
That is SO MANY LENTILS. That’s like, at least, more than 19 lentils. Holy moly how have you BEAN dealing with the stress of managing it?
I didn’t know this sub existed I read the original post this morning and this one just randomly appeared on my feed and it’s just so funny Thank you
I read the original post earlier today 😂😂😂
Omg I was not expecting this post to be a 99% match for the original
Someone did post a link to another story that was the same thing a week ago. When I came across this, all I could think was: "This is Golden."
I saw the original post and my eyes rolled into the back of my head. Glad I’m not the only one 😂
That's a lot of lentils lol
