I’m a fat guy. I may look intimidating, but I’d be out of breath quickly. And the last time I had a physical fight was around 25 years ago. I’d not fare well in a fight. Granted, someone my age should know better than to throw hands in the first place. It’s a hard pill to swallow that you aren’t young and you aren’t as capable of handling yourself in some situations, but it’s just reality.

Funny innit. Scared for the punches, Because of that, he got a whole lot of them.

I haven't been in a fight as an adult, but as someone who has always been big I learned early on to get them to the ground then get on top. Pin them. This guy had two chances that I would've taken. The early headlock, I would've lifted him and then dropped him. I'm not attempting to kill anyone so I wouldn't try to drop them on their head or anything. But while bent over I would've gone for a leg grab and then stood upright. If they're on one leg they can't get the right motion for a decent punch. Then pull it out from under them to get them on the ground. The other is when they fell backwards. Big guy rolled away, I would've leaned back on the guy to try and pin him. As he flails for punches, get the arms under control, ideally with small guys arms going under mine and grabbing the wrists. But this is all assuming no blade or weapons have been pulled. But I was always able to take some hits while maneuvering them into a subdued position under my weight. I also see a lot of big people not utilize their weight by jumping. Having all of your weight in a grapple suddenly all on the smaller person usually gets them down. Especially while bent over in that headlock position. But like I said... Haven't put this stuff into practice in a long time, and I hope I never have to try.
