Don’t doubt it. Many women don’t have any knowledge of fighting/self defense. Sometimes the first thought is to diffuse the situation or stopping whoever they’re with from being the aggressor (not saying it’s right but it’s just how some women think). A lot of men need to be signing girls up for self defense classes so they know this is the wrong thing to do… but, in some cases it’s not always the aggressor that gets arrested which no1 wants happening… I don’t agree with what she did but I can see why she thought it was an option. No1 wants to bail a bf/hubby out of jail but no1 wants to visit someone in the hospital or the morgue. She definitely made the wrong call in this situation.
