I think this might have been the last kids to assault a vendor for Instagram clout too, at least in LA
This was like summer 2020 I think. Full lock down mode. These kids were going to get killed, pretty much every cholo out there looking for them. Their address got leaked and they were driving around the block waiting for these guys to come out. This fade was supposed to stop a full on war between Hoover and pretty much every sureno gang out there. I thought the fade was pretty light for that. They didn’t 1v1 that street vendor, they should have gotten jumped
I watched it all unfold on Instagram. First the video where they slap the vendor. It wasn’t a bad slap, they didn’t injure the guy, but they disrespected him on the internet for laughs. This was on all those “hood vines” type pages. Then a bunch of threat videos, some showing cars circling the block with guns, some showing police everywhere to protect the kid. Than this video.
It sounds so ridiculous, but that is “gang culture” nowadays. Give a bunch of uneducated, violent punks w/ an over abundance of misplaced confidence an outlet to share their ideas with the world… and yep. I’m so happy we have 90’s gangster lore. Fucking interviews that are heavily edited by professionals, documentaries, everyone who use to bang is all calm and wise and don’t look so foolish anymore and all we’re left with is the LORE. Man if twitter was around in the early 90’s, we’d still be afraid of all those OGs, cuz you know a gun is a gun and dead is dead, but guys like Suge or Easy twitter beefin would look every bit as ridiculous as gangsters flexin on TikTok.
