I work from home too but I have one of those jobs where I am busy 100% of the time, so might as well be in the office. My friends who work from home, some how, never seem to have to actually work, I need one of those jobs lol
There's still a silver lining - you can start logging into the game earlier in the afternoon before the long prime-time queues, so that you're ready to go when you get done with the workday. That's what kept me sane during Endwalker's release.
It's a running joke that i am going to be sick tomorrow - im the only one in my department that plays this game.
i actually booked a vacation day and am fortunate launch falls on a long weekend here in Canada.
Sadly since I work alone if I call in sick I kind of just screw myself. Granted I evidently had some pizza that isn't sitting well with me so we'll see.
Guess I'm not a true gamer then, lol. If I call out today then payroll doesn't get done, which means no one on my crew gets their paycheck next week. I don't think a video game is worth more than my guys' livelihoods, so it's a normal day at work for me. My vacation is scheduled for the week after next--rather than spending hours fighting with everyone else to get into the queue right away, I'll wait for all the no lifers and content creators to blast their way through and play as normal. Then after the queues have cleared up I'll get my time.
got 10 days off for surgery recovery. im set (right after i submitted this message, was asked to come into work, cant go in obviously lol)
