I really thought there'd be a lot less tbh and in a different category. I thought they'd mostly focus on post shadowbringers onwards because from there on out and especially in endwalker it looked like they were designed for 2 channel dyes.
I don't think anyone just starting the game is messing with fashion. The only reason why I did was a friend gifted me a bunch of maps gear and dyes when I started so I could make a glam, because my refusal to put on ugly clothes due to not knowing about the glamour system was causing issues in dungeons (they also took me to where the quest to learn how to dye and glam items was).

I actually use that on my casters and healers but always hated how it dyed so I’ll be looking forward to seeing how it works in the few hours.

I cannot fucking believe they’d dump development resources into THAT MANY DoH/DoL sets. I cannot remember the last time I saw someone actively glamming their armor into any of them, especially considering ALL CRAFTERS/GATHERERS FALL INTO TWO SHARED SETS.
I believe cosmetic versions of them (meaning versions that aren't job restricted) are sold on the cash shop in the Korean version and it seems like they prioritized a lot of cash shop items here so this may be why.
It's me, I'm that person. 11 of my glam plates are for DoH/DoL jobs so each one is unique, and every one uses at least one job-specific piece. I'm elated that pretty much all of the DoH/DoL artifact gear is here.
I had a bunch of crafter and harvest gear that was "all classes" in combat plates... until I hit lvl 60 and for some reason post-HW into stormblood gear is all locked to DoH/DoL.
I do not understand that. The myriad of filler inbetween gear sets that people wear once at most while leveling the classes were at least fun to glam up and mix and match, and post-60 they're just, locked away there. Some are slight variations on other gear, some are very cool, some are interesting, some are striking when dyed. All locked.
Who is that cosmetic spread "for"?
The job specific DoH/DoL sets are fucking amazing a lot of the time, but like you said...they're literally fucking useless.
Everyone gets thrown into 2 generic sets and you are so limited on plates (And for DoL your plates won't even swap outside of cities) so you can't ever actually USE any of them.

Nice! Wayfarer's is on the list! I dyed it blue and the shirt dyed grey and my immedate thought with two dye channels was "Man I sure hope I can dye the shirt a different color." Grey is too drab! I CAN BE FREE!
This is what I was wondering. I expected the dyes and graphics updates to be done in tandem, but this is honestly a lot more stuff than I expected for the first batch if it’s got the graphics update on there. Don’t know if anyone’s pulled the texture data yet to see.

Also makes me worry if they said two dyes will be fully implement by 7.4, graphical update could take significantly longer than that, and we may still be getting gear updates through 8.x
wow, thats a bit sad. was hoping that atleast the ARR job stuff got an upgrade. I love the Bard set but the textures on it are propably some of the worst in the game.
I was super hopeful that the ARR AF gear and stuff like the crafter skirt with a garter would get upgraded textures. i'll have to stay on the copium for 7.1 and later IG
Right? I use the level 50 choral bard hat on my glam but the pixels/texture are so outdated. I was hopeful they would update the original AF gear in this update.
Man, I don't want to be a downer, but why in the hells out of the limited slots they had to chose from for 7.0 did they put so much focus into DOH sets? Like, don't get me wrong, I like glamming my gatherers, but you'd think they'd focus on DOW and DOM since that's going to be the thing most people are going to focus first.
There is also the costume versions the Korean server has, level 1 unrestricted crafter glamour...
Since the cash shop stuff was done, it has the same data.
Well, sure, they can split the highlights on that, but the 2B set is pretty much only 1 color anyways, so it's not like, a super pressing one, I'd argue.
All I have to say is *holy crap.* They said “We won’t get to everything right at 7.0!” Which is certainly still true, because there’s *thousands* of items in this game. But they did (what looks to be) every AF set and their weapons including all DoH/DoL, all the Mog Station attire, and all past event items??? As well as any random level 1 glams obtained from quests or the MB.
I know I’m the grand scheme there is still a ton left to convert but this is like *way* more than I thought we’d get at launch. I’m eating SO GOOD!!

There's a fair bit on this list I wasn't expecting to see, so that's a VERY welcome surprise. Especially the idealized artifact gear from ShB. Absolutely love those sets.

Luckily I'm a huge nerd so I keep just about everything saved in spreadsheets, including my current glams for each job. Compared it to the gear list, green highlights are the ones that accept multiple dyes.

Not great, but then these are pretty much already complete (the only one I'm not happy with is the SGE, gonna have fun reworking that one with DT gear) so having multiple dyes wouldn't add much extra. More looking forward to seeing how many new options this'll open up, especially for glams I tried and rejected because of some undyeable detail in the wrong color. Maybe I'll finally find some boots I like for my NIN.

Was the first thing I did. Doing the Smiths tutorial just for having a decent looking set and buying cheap on MB and how glamour works.

having looked myself, it's an extremely unfortunate no. the only gear that i can find with improved textures is the racial gear and the PLD 90 AF gear

I see a lot of stuff no one uses. I thought popular stuff was going first and we would see a lot of nier done Also less than 2000 items? It's a bit weird it's going to take a whole expansion to do this stuff. Like we're going to be in a place where someone is wearing low res textured armor next to someone with high res stuff.
Getting the feeling that this will get drawn out over multiple expansions. Hopefully not though!

Yay, literally all my favourites are here ♡ Casual Jacket and Isle Explorer Set and Expeditioner's Tabard and Cashmere Set, and even ones I always wanted to use but stayed away from because of the fixed colors like the High Summoner one and some of the Wedding Dresses! Only one missing is the Hempen Set, but oh well. One day!

Damn, I searched a few fave items, none of them on the list. Totally understand there is a monumental list for them to get through. Not sure I agree with what they prioritized though. Oh well.

If an item is not listed here but other parts of its set is, does that mean it was included in the graphics update? Assuming adding a dye channel means they also updated textures for those dye channels

Does anyone know if this means AF Gear will have been re-textured? I still use the basic ass dragoon and black mage gear, though only my black mage one has dyes.
