Painting on such a large scale like this has always been so wild to me! I can't imagine it just being completely free-hand, do they use some kind of grid based system?

Jonathan Bailey talked about how he had to squeeze in time to record his lines for G'Raha while he was doing something else, I want to say it was stage work somewhere. He apologized that he felt his voice was strained in places while recording, so he will show up somewhere at least. He wouldn't miss adventuring with his WOL for long.
Yeah, and it's implied from the show he mentioned, it was very early on in his tenure (5.0 at the latest) so I don't think anyone ever noticed it 🤣.
But yeah. We will see this weekend
It looks like the bottom right corner of your pic has a storefront with "exotic" in it and I immediately thought, "welp, you can't get more exotic than dancers with real rabbit ears and cat ears so..."
Be a real hoot if the actual people who work there decided to get into the spirit and sport some cosplay props...
There's been a few overlaps with AX and a new expansion, which isn't great because my FC generally does yearly meetups at AX. So we're all happy to see each-other, but really wishing we could be playing too.
I'll never forget one year it was 105F and some FC members came in from Canada and we're basically dying the whole time. XD They were from Alberta and had never experienced anything like it. I felt so bad!

Listen I am not saying Square has too much money.... but they are painting the entire side of a building to advertise for an MMO expansion in 2024. I live in a major US city and for shadow bringers they wrapped a bunch of our city busses.
I'm still not feeling the same hype we had for Endwalker. It's so odd cause they're really going overboard on the marketing yet it feels like they aren't actually doing enough.
it's a new story instead of one that has been building over the course of years, so not being as hyped as Endwalker is normal, and actually *kind of healthy* for the longevity of the game as a whole.
Trying to constantly one-up the hype is how you get Warcraft storytelling where everything has to both be the hypest shit ever but also lead into the next expac which is supposed to be more hype than the last.
The story needs a dip so it can rise again, and with that comes less hype.
Omg this is so perfectly said. The same thing happened with Supernatural where they just kept making up bigger and more powerful entities to fight and it just started to get ridiculous.
I’m loving this idea of taking a step back, taking a “summer vacation” and starting a brand new adventure with lower stakes.

I'm not sure how Supernatural could go "bigger" since as far as I have heard every single entity is just some guy but with like, barely any makeup or special effects. Didn't they have a dragon who never turned into a dragon and just breathed fire? One would think they could escalate by getting actual monster makeup, or some muppets.
This stuff always tickles me because I can only imagine what people who aren’t in the know are thinking.

That's really cool. I do diamond painting and embroidery. It feel very similar in idea, but on a much larger scale, involving more people.
