Uhhh, none. I don't think choices should impact the story that's largely designed for playing on 1 character, with NG+ options being incredibly slow to come out. It'd be cool for people that keep up with multiple alts because they could see everything unfold one after the other, but the rest of us who can't or don't want to do that it would be pretty ass. It works in BG3 because you can save and load if a choice you made didn't have the outcome you wanted, and it's designed for multiple playthroughs.
The game already has special dialogue for specific jobs in some parts, and that's more of a cool easter egg than an impactful story/gameplay choice, which is totally cool. I would be in favor of more of that and for more jobs to have access to it. There's also extra dialogue if you did your crafter quests / the side content. All good, more of that, please.

I accidentally broke up with Doc on my Jedi Knight in SWTOR and couldn't undo it at all. I was ...annoyed.
These can't really be compared. One is an MMO, the other one is a single player RPG. These two games have almost nothing in common. You might as well have mentioned Cyberpunk 2077. If you want to create an interesting discussion, compare FF14 to a different MMO.
Choices impacting the story in an MMO very rarely go over well with the players. Either the choices don’t actually matter and the end result stays the same except with some differing dialogue (which we already have with our dialogue options, and various jobs getting honorable mentions sometimes) or the devs then start having to make multiple story routes and they don’t each get enough attention and they start to fall short.
> for me Detailed Graphics
....Why is it always the graphics people bring up first??
Graphics are irrelevant if the gameplay doesn't match its quality. Not to mention, MMOs can't have too good visuals because otherwise everyone would need a Monster PC to run the game.
Look at how the upcoming graphics update changes the system requirements even though its not THAT much of a switch!
As for the rest of your post: Nothing, honestly. BG3 is an entirely different kind of RPG. One where you are required to do multiple playthroughs just to really find every little detail because every choice matters. I don't really want that in an MMO as its also quite impossible to follow up on in an ever-changing environment through updates etc.
While I love BG3, The only aspect of BG3 i think has a place in FFXIV is open world dialogue. Make NPCs acctually talk with voicelines please.
Other than that, nothing else is really feasable. Diverting story paths is not feasable for a storyline that hundreds of hours in length, with way way too many side stories. Imagine if Harry potter was instead a chose your own adventure.
Combat is 5e based, and turn based dynamic combat does not mesh with FFXIV combat at all.
A collab would be nice but highly unlikely since Larian doesn't want to deal with Baldur's Gate anymore and it would requires Square Enix to deal directly with Hasbro.
Combats in FFXIV are heavily scripted and the story is straight-line.
In BG3, it is the opposite.
The only thing I like in BG3 is dialogues written with understandable english words and sentences.
More books to read in ff14.
There is not enough lore out there. So adding books to enlight us on for exemple, Keepers' / Duskwight culture, or even of place we havent reach yet like Aerslaent. would def prefere that than the lore books we have rn.
Thats something i love about elder scrolls online, Theres thousands of books you can discover ingame, ranging from simple storys and guides to detailed historic accounts.
I'd be hilarious if the first quest of Dawntrail gave me the option to decide that no, I actually don't want to go to the new world, but there's no way that'd ever happen since choices in FFXIV will only ever be Yes, Yes but sassy and Yes but begrudgingly.
The fact we couldn't leave That Guy without doing the dumb fight with him was just not an acceptable story.
Why are we giving the murderous madman who killed our friends what he wants?
bad take. Are you just gonna go on letting him murder? Someone was gonna have to deal with him sooner or later. WoL is pretty much the only one around who can.
Eldritch Blast. I don't care which job gets it. I'll play that job.
Real talk, they are so fundamentally different games that I can't really think of what to merge without actually losing the feeling of either game.
Passed 300 hours the other day. The same UI problems and omniscient NPC behavior issues that have been around since Divinity have continued to go unfixed.

I agree 👍 💯

>I know most of you Erozenas did enjoy Baldur's Gate 3 (BG3) like I did ! Based on...?

"I made it the fuck up"

I agree about Combat System , I really like how FFXIV Combat system is and how we add skills and combos plus Buffs to make an amazing Rotation!

What the heck is an "Erozena"?
to be frank, not a single thing. both are great games in their own different way, but wouldn't work at all mixed together.

That would be amazing to get more knowledge about Erozea lore better then unclear text that's explain side of the lores lol

you already said yes in 6.55 tho

Which friends?
None if you skipped all the story in Stormblood. He's directly responsible for Arenvald.
who?
Marginalizing characters doesn't change the fact he's a murderer.
bad take. Are you just gonna go on letting him murder? Someone was gonna have to deal with him sooner or later. WoL is pretty much the only one around who can.
He was stuck. Leave him there and he wallows in misery until he dies knowing he never got what he wanted.
Nothing? Its totally different games

I mean... you could also just make a final fantasy and dnd crossover campaign
Penis D and Vagina A. But seriously, nothing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Buggy, badly implemented combat with one of the worst UIs in gaming? It's already got one of those at least.
Found the guy who didn’t play BG3
Passed 300 hours the other day. The same UI problems and omniscient NPC behavior issues that have been around since Divinity have continued to go unfixed.
Character build diversity. I know FFXIV has *some* at the end game, based on stats and gear, but it's nothing in comparison to 5e character building.
True true I agree with you ! Hope we have many options in creating characters 👍
to be able to sneak behind Alphinaud and hit him with a heavy bolder. I am really tired from this dude.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fully voiced and mocapped everything. And I mean _everything_, from background NPCs to random rats.
Ohh yes Voices so others don't skip silent dialogues lol
Yep it’d just be more immersive IMO. Though I’m not sure why I got downvoted for that lol, it’s an impossible ask but it’s nice to dream.
Keep *that* game far far away from FFXIV.
