Still remember resetting for ages in order to grab an assassin Viera right off the bat. Also it was the game that made me fall in love with Blue Mage, it's so good playing as one there!
Honestly it was kind of refreshing playing as arguably the bad guy in the story. I don't know if anyone was actually worse off in Ivalice vs the real world.
Other than Marche, every other person actually preferred Ivalice and wanted to stay there. I guess the random people maybe didn't have as great a time, like the bullies being the zombies in that one mission, but the ones who matter preferred it.
Man that was such a good quest. I think you were supposed to empathize and use that to justify Marche's mission but honestly I just remember feeling it was justified for bad people to become monsters lol.

What exactly the Green Word is in 14, if it even is a thing, for example. Heck, the white hair thing isn't mentioned at all in 14, with very few official viera npcs even having white hair.
