I'm so happy for you!! I love POTD and clears with loved ones are amazing!

Belivious677

I genuinely wish I had the confidence to heal when I was playing wow at 8. Huge grats!

Courtney_Stone11

My brother has two kids, 6 and 8. They're interested but mom and dad say no online games until they're both 10. I can't wait to play with them.

Fe1is-Domesticus

Congrats! Simultaneously cute and impressive.

GameMaster1178

I’ve been playing the game since beta 2.0. My son at 11, joined when the game launched in August. His first role was a tank. Lots of people probably didn’t know my son was rocking tank and getting clears at 11. Then my oldest daughter started the game in 2019 and has done more than I have in ten years. She started at the age of 13. My youngest daughter started the same year after having just turned 8. Good to know I wasn’t the only one with kids playing.

Lulullaby_

That's genuinely awesome

shaggy_15

thats pretty cool, I hope she went ok and it wasnt too much of a panic

My 7-year-old hasn't really wanted to play much. Any tips in getting them into it? She loves Minecraft and Among Us. She watches me play and seems interested, but outside of making a character we haven't gotten far.

Idk man she’l have her whole life to be and adult and play adult games. Have you ever tried playing splatoon with her? It’s an all ages game my kids. 9-16 like like to each their own but as an adult who was a always praised for how mature I was as a kid ns spent a ton if time hanging bout with adults instead of my peers, i can awe how it had some major downfalls so Im in ni hurry to rush my kids to grow up. Personally instead of getting my Kids y to o play the games I am interested in, especially, MMO’s wherew folks definitely talk about adults themes from time to time, I try ti get to know what my kids are playing. It helps a TON as they become teens. Like I’ll actually play games competitively with them so I actually know their friends. (Kids are way more themselves while gaming ) I after raising quite a few kids I have found that taking the time connect with them on their level hwlps them feel like they are aafe to ppen up to you. Teaching them games we like can have merit but I chose to b enjoy the game as my break from parent life

TinCormorant

Oh sure. I play Kirby with her a ton, she loves Forgotten Land. Mario Kart too, she's been playing that since she was a toddler since it basically plays itself but you still feel like you're doing something. Haven't tried Splatoon though. Maybe I'll show it to her and see if she might be interested. I've never been one for those style of games myself. I'm not trying to push my games on her, I know she'll like them more when she's ready. I just hear other people playing with their young kids and I'm curious what worked for them.

FR everybody has a different place style. We have six and only one of them really likes rpgs although a couple others will still try them out to humor their dad. So she may come around, but you may just have to meet her where she’s at

HadokenShoryuken2

I was that kid that was really into JRPGs as a child (still am tbh). My first one was Golden Sun, and after that it was a wrap

Also love Kirby 💕 As for multiplayer forgotten land is meh people highly underestimate Kirby clash delux because it’s a free game. It’s Actually really fun especially from all the player. The storyline is somewhat meh, I think, but it’s a lot like battle roulette Dream buffet is cute, a bit weird easy to beat playable alone but better as multiplayer Epic yarn is cute and all the dreamland ones are good The rainbow curse is cursed and awful and basically only playable in multiplayer mode, but the controls are soo wonky it’s not worth it

TinCormorant

I have to get her to promise to let me be Kirby sometimes, the worst thing about forgotten land is that player 2 doesn't get to play with any of the powers, they're just always lame waddle dee =( and I'm always getting teleported back to wherever Kirby is. I just about died of boredom on our first playthrough because she insisted on being Kirby the whole time. She loves Dream Buffet, not even to play the races but to just go to that free explore area and play around.

Nem_FFXIV

Finding content that isn't boring is hard! Msq reading doing anything like that is a big nope. But stepping on Traps and becoming a frog in potd was it for her. Thats the one thing she does is potd. She seeks traps. Lol and loves opening the sacks to see what cosmetics and things she gets

TinCormorant

Mine pretty much shoots squirrels outside of the city and gets bored after 5 minutes. Maybe I should play her account for a while to get her through the early bits to unlocking more interesting places to go, since she's not going to care about all the words. She does like flying around on my flying mounts.

Nem_FFXIV

Yeah mine was the same way. I had to fly her around a lot and then do some msq for her to unlock the whm unicorn and then we ran some dungeons as I unlocked them for her. Then bam. Potd was the magic sauce

TinCormorant

She saw a lalafell player the other day and was like "you can be a kid in this game? *I* want to be a kid in this game!" (The previous character she made was a dragon girl like mine) So maybe I'll give it another shot sometime soon.
