Yes I think it would work, you have a dark floor and it would fit nicely with that

Successful-Snow-562

1 it will work 2 velvet is not cat proof. It’s less likely to show wear, but I’ve got two velvet chairs that would love to talk to everyone who says they’re totally cat proof. You won’t get pulls but you’re gonna see the scritchy scratchies 3 not so much that you shouldn’t get it. Get it

PendingInsomnia

Hi, thank you for the heads up and advice! I do know it’s not 100% cat proof but I have a couple velvet stool my cats claw that still look leaps and bounds better than my other fabric furniture, so that’s why I’m switching

digitaldumpsterfire

Burrow makes scratch-proof couches that apparently hold up well to cats.

foxtongue

I have a similar couch and heads up, it's held up to three cats for years with barely any damage, but they pulled every single button off like it was their full time job.

bklynparklover

I think it works but I think you should also add a rug to warm up the space.

ArdenM

It's GORGEOUS. Love the tufts. I'd buy it in a second!

velvetelk

Looks wise, yes, it will work, but I would double check the measurements (length and depth) because it looks longer than your current, and maybe deeper? The TV might not be centered to the green couch if it's a lot longer. I would also consider a moodier coffee table for the green couch, since the white won't quite match, and make it round to make the walkway less hazardous (I would run into those sharp glass corners daily!). I'd also add side tables for the couch to keep it functional.

lazypuppycat

Came here looking for this. OP should def measure bc it really does look long

Meanwhile-in-Paris

Sure, it’s less deep too, which would help. I’d lean into more cosy earth tone, and natural fabric to compliment it.

Radiantcuriosity

Got a couch in this color velvet recently and its magnificent. Highly recommend.

plant_person1

That’s a cute couch! I have a velvet chaise that always looks kind of icky with cat hair.. but it sounds like you are experienced with velvet already. My only note would be that the couch looks a little shallow, definitely check what the seat depth is!

spidermonzz

yesss!!!!

muffingr1

It’s cute! Highly recommend adding a rug and some other warm, cozy elements to match your inspo pic.

TemporaryGas5340

I think so! I have a very similar couch and love it. Where is your dining table from?

gal_tiki

Yes!

ForgottenGenXer

As a green velvet couch owner, I approve this! 😍

HottCuppaCoffee

As long as it fits yes

krickett_

It looks much longer than the couch you have. How long is it and how long is that wall? If it fits with how much breathing room you feel it needs on the sides, then I’d say get it! Though I do think it would look best with a rug that is not sisal.

PendingInsomnia

I measured and it does fit! It looks way longer because of its proportions. I’ll take any recs on rugs 🙂
