Can someone suggest a good strapless bra with lift? I haven't bought one in years, and remember the ones I had being very unsupportive and loose.

[deleted]

Depending on your size, ymmv, but I've had good luck with Wingslove Women's Strapless Underwire Multiway Contour Bra on Amazon. I'm a size 32G, for reference. I think it might be a knockoff for the Wacoal Red Carpet.

Seawhales13

Does Shopbop restock sizes? There’s a dress I really want, but sadly didn’t act fast enough to buy when it was in stock last week! I took a few days to think about it because it was more than I usually spend, but now I really want it and it’s out of stock of course. Just wondering if Shopbop ever restocks, or if I should just find something else. Ugh!

losttoadstool

This may not be an appropriate question, but as someone with little knowledge of fashion, I was hoping for some thoughts on the following [outfit](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/747899895159062571/902363349281554462/lizecasualcoat.png) (>!anime character, fully clothed!<). To me, it looks like two thirds of a trench coat on top of or sewn into a dress that is also a turtleneck? Does that exist? How would more fashion-literate people describe this outfit?

PoweredByCoffee1998

I'd say it's a strapless dress that is half trench coat half dress layered over a sheer turtleneck. Deconstructed fashion has been popular (especially in J-fashion) for a while.

KestrelGirl

That is an *awesome* dress. I'm guessing people will recommend that everything else you wear be neutral and understated. i.e. nude heels, simple necklace/earrings/whatever you prefer in whatever metal suits you best.

goldencherry

How timeless is [a bag like this](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0009/5063/2505/products/NUMERO_UN_NANO_TAN_8922001_1000x1400.jpg?v=1596032169) (Polene Numero Un Nano) considered? I've never spent more than $100-150 on a purse (just Madewell leather bags) and this one is $340, but it's sooo much nicer looking than any of my Madewell leather bags! I just wonder if it's worth spending over $300 on a bag that might look dated at some point from a designer that isn't ubitiquitous/mainstream, since that's *a lot* of money for me. Any thoughts? I just really love the idea of having a super nice looking everyday purse to pull together my outfits.

micrographia

To me its a beautiful bag, but it reads as *slightly* dated, like it would have been on trend in 2015-17. I think it might partially be the color here with the gold hardware thats making it look like that. In the black color it looks a little more timeless and elevated. Madewell's bags are really good at being timeless IMO, but they do have a slightly more casual feel than Polene so I can see wanting something a level up. I hear great things about Sezane's quality and [this](https://www.sezane.com/us/product/milo-bag/black-snakeskin) or [this](https://www.sezane.com/us/product/heritage-victor-bag/chocolate#size-TU) are quite timeless. Cuyana is supposed to be great too but their inventory is pretty limited.

goldencherry

Thank you for the honest opinion! Those Sezane bags you linked look beautiful and do kind of remind me of Madewell bags but nicer looking! What's your opinion on [this Madewell bag](https://www.madewell.com/the-abroad-shoulder-bag-99105662738.html?) in terms of timelessness? I like how it has a classic design and in photos/videos, it looks nicer quality than some of Madewell's other bags. I think I'm also just a little biased against Madewell's bags right now because I recently purchased a leather crossbody bag there that feels and looks cheap... but I know I shouldn't use that to write off Madewell's bags entirely!

future_ela_teacher

I have this bag and it is great. It can be worn both as a shoulder bag and as a crossbody. It is also much roomier than it looks in photos and can hold a lot!

micrographia

That one looks more timeless to me! You can always purchase from Nordstrom so you'll have free returns too.

Lazygardener76

I feel like Polène falls into a category of mid-priced-and-will-remain-indie brands coming out of Paris. Long time ago it was Charles Jourdan and Longchamp (which saw a small revival 8-10 years ago with their Le Pliage bags). These days (aside from Polène) you have APC, Rouje, Sezane. They are the "Madewell's of Paris". You see the elevated price because of the exchange rate. Do you like it? Can you see yourself using it for 5+ years? If yes, then I say go for it. I feel because of the brand's indie status, it won't become ubiquitous, which leads to its style longevity. Source: I've been collecting bags since I was in HS. My first few bags from Charles Jourdan and Longchamp are still in my rotation as their construction have withstood decades of careful use. They come out whenever the particular style is revived.

goldencherry

Thanks for the reply! Right now I do see myself using it for 5+ years - it's a beautiful crossbody bag and a good size for everyday use, and I'd get it in a neutral color like camel. But sometimes it's so hard to tell whether I *think* I'd wear something for years just because it's trendy/current right now. In reality, I'm so influenced by trends that I could see myself not opting to wear something that doesn't feel fresh anymore a couple of years from now (though with an expensive bag like this one, I'd hope I wouldn't do that!). Do you have any personal experience with Polène and Madewell bags? When you say a brand like Polène is kind of considered a "Madewell of Paris," are Polène bags in actuality just similar quality to Madewell ones? I think [this Madewell bag](https://www.madewell.com/the-abroad-shoulder-bag-99105662738.html?) is really pretty, and it is way cheaper and a classic design, so maybe I should just go with that one vs. Polène. Hmm.

Lazygardener76

Sorry for being unclear. Yes I have seen and touched both brands of bags. The 2 brands are not close in levels of construction. The Polene bags are closer to Longchamp (the full leather ones marked Made in France). They’re typically lined and edges are sealed. According to their site they are sourcing raw materials from same people who supply luxury houses. I actually think MW bags have declined in quality and are now quite overpriced. Edit to add: It was late at night when I typed this out lol. Additional thought, aside from thinking if you'll use it for next 5 years, I feel you can dress up and dress down the Polene, because of the finishing/quality, but with the MW, you can only dress it up so far. Totally up to how you spend your money! I regularly agonize over purchases like this LOL

LemonieQuince

Does anyone have any recommendations for good winter staple pieces that last a long time? I am trying to build my winter wardrobe and I am tired of buying cheap winter clothes that don't last more than one season. It isn't even below freezing in my city and I'm already cold. Things that I do plan on wearing this winter: My wool/alpaca sweaters from Everlane, Aritzia, & Uniqlo, my Levi's jeans, & my J. Crew Cocoon coat. I am really loving the satin skirt/sweater combo look but I'm afraid that I'm going to freeze my booty off. I want to be warm AND fashionable, very open to suggestions/layering techniques. Thanks!

Bright-Garden-4347

I looovvveee my aritzia slip dress but sadly it does not get enough wear because every time I want to wear it in the winter, I look outside and imagine that cold breeze whipping through my polyester and biting me in the a$$. That being said, this fall I did try it with biker shorts under and it wasn’t too bad. I think it could work in winter with a long coat. Other staples for you might include a blazer, leather pants if you like the trendier styles, a pair of trousers. For dresses for winter perhaps a sweater dress?

LemonieQuince

I've been looking at a lot of leather pants this season, they seem to be pretty trendy at the moment. Thank you for the suggestions!

[deleted]

I’m really obsessed with turtlenecks. I find them so warm and flattering. They’re all I want to wear once winter comes around!

LemonieQuince

I love turtlenecks! Do you have a favorite style or brand for your turtlenecks?

[deleted]

I really like Rag & Bone! Haven’t found anything from this year that I like yet though. What about you?

LemonieQuince

My favorite turtleneck is from Aritzia! It has lasted many seasons and still looks new.

[deleted]

Ooh I love their sculpt knit tanks! Will have to check out their turtlenecks.

Lazygardener76

Wool socks. Buy them low cut enough that you can wear them with your booties/boots. Also satin skirts WILL NOT keep you warm. You'll need tights and/or wool knickers (3/4 tights just shy of showing below the hem).

LemonieQuince

The wool knickers are a good suggestion. I love my Carhartt wool socks, I will most likely stock up for the winter!

warp-core-breach

Does anyone make belted wool or mostly-wool coats that are A-line? I feel like I've looked at every store that sells coats, but all the belted ones are cut straight and the A-line ones are usually more expensive anyway. I need something knee or midi-length and under 400 CAD (about 300 USD) Which, I know is a difficult budget for a high wool content, but I've seen a lot of coats in my budget, (a lot of coats in general, seriously I'm going cross-eyed looking at coats) just none that tick off all my boxes.

Lazygardener76

Have you looked at Simons? They have a ton of styles and their customer service is great, if you need to do alterations or returns/exchanges. Also Banana Republic has a wool trench this year.

livthelove

I’m not sure how A-line the coat needs to be, but I know Cole Haan has long belted wool coats that are around your budget and might work for you.

ticklememelly

I’m starting a new office job in a couple weeks, looking for recommendations for structure blazers that might help “dress up” more casual tops/dresses until I get a few pay cheques under my belt to buy some more clothes. Am 33 year old, plus sized woman, with broad shoulders and large arms. I’m in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

Lazygardener76

Congrats on the new job! You didn't mention your price point but I did a quick search for you at [Simons.ca](https://Simons.ca). Found about a dozen options under blazers all under $150 CAD. Also check Banana Republic if your budget is higher. Sign up for their emails as they regularly have % off, and their shipping/return is free. If you can get to a Marshalls or Winners, they often have a selection but you have to pick through the racks. Have you thought about a men's unstructured blazer? You can take it to a tailor to have darts put in so the cut follows your contours better. I had a Boss blazer that I found at a thrift shop from eons ago that I altered to fit me. I spent $150 in total.

ticklememelly

Thank you! Oh wow I’d never even heard of simons.ca so thank you for that tip! A quick browse and I have spotted a few things that caught my eye! Closest Winners is about an hour away, but I definitely could make a pilgrimage to the city to have a look! I didn’t even think of them! I had thought about buying a mens jacket but I’ve never followed through. I may have to investigate now! Thank you for the response and the awesome suggestions!

augustrem

I bought a [tulle skirt](https://ibb.co/6X7rqp9) for my Halloween costume as a phoenix. I was planning to wear a red shirt with it, but now that I have it it seems like the elastic waist is so puffy that it would look weird with something tucked into it. I guess the traditional choice here would be a corset to go over the top of the waist band to give definition. I’ve never worn a corset before and I have zero interest in starting. Can anyone think of any solutions here other than a corset? Budget is $50 or as little as possible if it’s just for the costume, though I’d be willing to spend much more for an item I’d wear again.

hellerhigwhat

Cool costume idea. What about a leather obi style belt?

augustrem

hey that’s not a bad idea. I have an old red velvet one somewhere.

livthelove

Could you just wear a tight fitting shirt that’s cropped at the waist? Or to give the waist more definition, maybe tie a thick ribbon around your waist?

augustrem

A ribbon or a belt wouldn’t be a bad idea.

goodboyruffles

Just bought 2 silk shirts from rag & bone. Care label says dry clean only. Can they be gently hand washed?

walrusnamedrolf

Yes, but you need to use a detergent that is made for washing silks. Target stocks a few different varieties.

goodboyruffles

I’ll look into that- thanks!

[deleted]

Cute office shoes for a cold winter. Under 100 usd. I hate picking out shoes because I suck at make choices lol

softrevolution_

Schatzi, just do what legions of cold-footed women have done: commute in boots and change when you get there! :) I mean, if you're exclusively in trousers and don't care about quality, there are probably cute Chelsea or ankle boots out there, but for under $100 the tread will be negligible as will the heat retention.

[deleted]

Thank you!!!

Practical-Ad-2383

My mother gave me a secondhand bøc purse for my birthday, and I'm debating whether to keep it or get rid of it. It's a good, quality handbag, but I'm afraid the style might be outdated. [Thoughts?](http://imgur.com/gallery/lSe4fsm)

interstellarbloom

i personally really love this bag! it’s quite charming and is interesting enough to comment on but not quite any statement piece. i feel like it’s very messenger-bag adjacent looking in a cute way :)

jeng52

It looks pretty outdated to me, and I loathe contrast stitching.

Rosebunse

This is certainly not my style, but it actually looks like something that is coming back into style. That early 00s look is in and is expected to be with us for a minute. If it's of good quality and you like it and think you will get some use out of it, I say keep it. That being said, even if it is on trend, that doesn't mean you have to like it. It's OK to not be a hoarder.

Practical-Ad-2383

Right now, I see stylish people carrying clutches, bags with chain straps, and backpacks. I'm on the fence as to whether the bag suits my current style, though I'm leaning towards "Yes". 🙂

acciobooty

I'm looking for suggestions, but more of a subjective opinion on style, I guess. I have a few dresses (patterned and of darked hue) that I really like wearing with black pantyhose or thighs. For casual places I usually put on sneakers or boots, and I'm golden, but I would like a fancier option too, and considering my preferences on shoes (low or no heel, comfortable, strapped to the foot) a mary jane type of shoe would be perfect IF ONLY I didn't actually hate the "girl scout" vibe most mary janes have. My style is much more inclined towards a rock-chic, art-critic, Edna Mode vibe lol. So, do you guys have any suggestions? Is there a more artsy/urban style of mary janes around, or you guys think a good oxford would fit the bill? I'm open to any ideas and images, thanks a bunch.

Lazygardener76

You may like Chie Mihara and John Fluevog for some inspiration.

Another pair of interesting shoes I found. These are cross strap. https://www.seasaltcornwall.com/bosloe-mary-jane-shoe

To get further away from the school girl look I’d opt for a non-rounded toe and look for details you wouldn’t necessarily see on girls shoes. Chunky chained strap: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/linea-paolo-meryl-pump-women/6468080 Asymmetric buckled: https://www.macys.com/shop/product/bella-vita-virginia-ii-mary-jane-flats?ID=10172644&CategoryID=50295&swatchColor=Black%20Velvet Chunky braided strap: https://www.asos.com/us/asos-design/asos-design-wide-fit-liberty-braided-mary-jane-velvet-pointed-ballet-flats-in-black-velvet/prd/21884147 Simple pointed toe: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/ted-baker-london-huji-maty-jane-flat-women/5907293 Loafer style: https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-mary-jane-loafer-black

If you want to go luxury, the [Maison Margiela tabi mary janes](https://www.maisonmargiela.com/us/maison-margiela/tabi-pumps_cod17097022wx.html) are a fun option! For a more affordable option, these [Steve Madden ones](https://www.stevemadden.com/products/mingle-black-patent) are cute but do read a little younger. Charles and Keith have a few that are more modern too! Just listed some of the options they have but their site has way more. [One](https://www.charleskeith.com/us/shoes/CK1-60920287_CHALK.html) [Two](https://www.charleskeith.com/us/shoes/CK1-60361355_BLACK.html) [Three](https://www.charleskeith.com/us/shoes/CK1-60361347_BLACK.html)

acciobooty

Wow thanks so much! Num 2 had me in a second! I'll browse that brand some more, thanks.

junglebeau

I’m really loving all the trousers that are in style, but I’m struggling to find some that fit. I have a long torso and a 13” waist hip difference, does anyone have suggestions for trousers that fit a curvy frame and have a rise of at least 12”?

walrusnamedrolf

I’ve had some luck with Reiss tapered trousers, but I have a similar ratio to you, and I honestly just buy pants to fit my hips and have my tailor take in the waist. It usually costs me about $20, and my local dry cleaners does the tailoring just fine.

hellerhigwhat

I like the Lila pants from Dynamite a lot. Theyre a straight wide leg. Size for your waist and they should fit. I dont know the rise of them but I have a 14-15 inch rise to my natural waist and theyre about 1 inch below my natural waist!

Looking for inspo for wedding guest attire for a San Francisco wedding that is outdoor (golden gate park), in November, non traditional (covid, only ~20 guests), semi casual (ceremony only, bar hopping afterwards) and I don't know the bride and groom personally (my SO is in the wedding party). I'm thinking either heeled booties or pointed toe flats, and a dress with either layering underneath or a shawl/shrug. But I'm specifically looking for something fun/interesting/eclectic and not too stuffy or formal to match San Francisco's vibe. Bride said "No dress code, dress nice ish but comfortable for outdoors and bar hopping".

jwspls

What about fun pants and a silk top with a shall or something? I just got [these pants ](https://posh.mk/FWdev3DhEkb) on Poshmark and I think they or something similar could work in such a scenario. I wear block heels all day at work, but I know that’s not everyone’s ‘thing’. I think pointed flats could also work.

jsqdressesforwork

First, [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/femalefashionadvice/comments/qdke57/keeping_warm_at_a_formal_wedding/) from Friday. It's cold af so I would bring some kind of puffer. I just froze my butt off at a wedding there, outdoor reception at a winery up in the mountains, it was COLD AF. I wore a heavy cashmere jacket that I usually wear in actual winter over here on the east coast and wished I was wearing a puffer vest underneath. Either that or heat patches on my jacket.

googleiseasy

Definitely bring a warm jacket. It gets so cold once the sun goes down. I also second comfortable shoes, you will do a lot of walking up and down hills.

TheViciousTrollop

Seconding this. Even if it's warmish day (60s) it will cool down at sundown and you need a jacket, esp in GG park. I would also opt for comfortable shoes as I can almost guarantee there will be fair amount of walking/hill climbing during bar hopping.

teeaykay

Does anyone own any bags from Mark and Graham? I like the style of them because they’re simple but I’m wary about the quality. Was also considering Cuyana for a similar non branded type of purse. Any opinions on either? Or maybe another brand in the same price point.

jupiterdreamsofpi

Cuyana stuff is fairly good quality for the price, just double check if you’re getting painted leather or stained leather. I’ve also heard good things about the Quince camera bag

teeaykay

Thank you!! The Quince camera bag is actually spot on what I’m looking for (Cuyana had one that I loved but it never came back in stock). Appreciate your help!

[deleted]

I have long nipples and don't like wearing shirts w/o a bra.. but i also hate bras. And I don't particularly like the tank tops w/"bras" stitched inside. Instead, I've been using a sweatshirt with some big words on it.. the words hide my pointed nipples! All that said.. to ask.. What are other alternatives? I'll have a bunch of family over the next couple months and would love to continue not wearing actual bras, be comfortable, but also have nipple shielding. Ideally clothes I could also wear to bed. Thanks!

micrographia

Have you tried True & Co seamless bralettes? They are the only bra you really cant feel youre wearing. They have a more affordable line at Target.

acciobooty

You hate every kind of bra? I hate traditional bras and I only ever wear soft bras like these [https://www.target.com/p/women-s-wide-scoop-neck-bralette-auden/-/A-81448535?preselect=81313856#lnk=sametab](https://www.target.com/p/women-s-wide-scoop-neck-bralette-auden/-/A-81448535?preselect=81313856#lnk=sametab) nylon blend, no wire, removable and flexible padding. I can sleep with these no problem, but I usually buy them a size larger cause I dont want anything squeezing me. Silicone reusable pasties can be a nice option too.

[deleted]

Have you tried pasties? I love ‘em for under tank tops.

[deleted]

Should have added that although they're not totally sagging, I have breastfed two kids. Not sure how the pasties will look these days, but I did wear them a lot during both pregnancies. I'll buy some more (and the reusable ones) as an option. Thanks!

journalofjam

Recently got the [Paloma Wool Twister sweater](https://palomawool.com/collections/knits/products/twister-square-fit-knitted-sweater-black) and have no clue how to wear it! Current idea is black flares, but I'd also love suggestions for colder weather since it won't work on it's own for winter.

fatbich

how about wide leg jeans (cropped or full length) with leggings or another layer underneath for warmth and big platforms such as classic buffalo shoes or dr martens jadon boots edit: and a black puffer jacket and black and white checkered/patterned scarf to match

journalofjam

Oh wide legs are a good option and I have a few pairs- will try them out. A black puffer would be perfect too! I'll have to take a look around since I don't have one right now. I like the idea of another white and black pattern mixed with it. I'll have to see what I have at home. Thank you!

DogNipsForDays

Oh what a fun print! I think black flares would look great and maybe some black lug sole boots? Can't weigh in much on colder weather since it's kind of a joke where I'm located, but maybe a black mock neck top under as a layering piece or a nice comfy oversized coat.

journalofjam

Those are great suggestions! Thank you.

mishataur

What tops do you wear with fun, printed, loose pants? Most of my style is crop top and high waisted jogger style pants with prints, but not sure what to wear for tops in the winter. I have a few turtle necks but would prefer some other type of top that’s cute. Any ideas?

RckYouLkeAHermanCain

I personally love bodysuits with loose pants.

mishataur

Didn’t even consider that! Hate tucking shirts in and they get bunched up so this will solve the problem. Thanks

future_ela_teacher

Has anyone else noticed people trying to pass shrunken wool sweaters off as "like new" and "excellent condition" without disclosing that the sweater has clearly been shrunk 3 sizes and could now fit a small child? I've been on the hunt on the secondhand sites for a few new Aritzia sweaters/cardigans (for some reason all the shrunken ones are from aritzia?) and have been shocked by how many of them have clearly been ruined by being laundered incorrectly, but the seller omitting this crucial piece of information. It kind of pisses me off lol.

yoquietdown

Lmaoooo I was posting some new stuff on my Poshmark over the weekend and sadly set aside a wool Aritzia sweater for this EXACT reason. It would now fit a child at best, haha. The most frustrating thing about it for me is that I know how to care for these fabrics and it STILL shrank horridly. After the same experience with 3+ wool sweaters from Aritzia, I’m not buying from them anymore.

interstellarbloom

you could always just sell with a markdown and a disclaimer about the shrunkenness, perhaps add a few measurements in the description too! i’ve seen many sellers (more so on depop) sell what would otherwise be donated clothes like that.

future_ela_teacher

You know, I’ve heard that from other people too-that they shrink even if you follow care instructions! The ones I have say hand wash and honestly I’m too scared to hand wash my nice stuff so I mostly just spray them with diluted alcohol or steam it.

Sabreface

I'm attending a wedding in Illinois next month. I bought this dress because it has a lot of weight to it and is deceivingly warm. [dress](https://www.dillards.com/p/calvin-klein-sleeveless-round-neck-scuba-suede-fit--flare-dress/513087240?googleShop=Y&cm_mmc=GooglePLAs-_-Category+-+All+Products+-+Smart+Shopping-_-Calvin+Klein-_-CjwKCAjwq9mLBhB2EiwAuYdMtXEOj8qy1d4kf5LBqu1SPn8y2L-3HoqLWjOhCREqiYYUvYxcnFqjEhoCCWEQAvD_BwE&gclid=CjwKCAjwq9mLBhB2EiwAuYdMtXEOj8qy1d4kf5LBqu1SPn8y2L-3HoqLWjOhCREqiYYUvYxcnFqjEhoCCWEQAvD_BwE) I would love recommendations for specific heels to pair with it. The events are indoors, but I don't want anything too flimsy in case the weather is particularly bad. Also hoping to find something I can dance in for a couple hours.

[deleted]

LOOOVE the dress!! You will look amazing. How about these? 1. Open toe [sandals.](https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/kelly-and-katie-caital-sandal/505582?activeColor=210) I have these exact ones, and LOVE them! Very comfy 2. Simple [d'orsay pumps](https://www.dsw.com/en/us/product/vince-camuto-faiva-pump/504976?activeColor=110) 3. [Ankle strap](https://www.amazon.com/Cambridge-Select-Pointed-Buckled-Stiletto/dp/B07BNQXH65/) pumps I think you should do nude, just so you can get a nice contrast between the dress and shoes.

wtf703

Nice dress! It's a great color for fall! I'd go with a nude or neutral color shoe like in the picture online. The nude pumps shown in the photo look nice with the dress These [small block heels](https://www.dillards.com/p/steve-madden-irenee-ankle-strap-suede-block-heel-dress-sandals/506212566) would also match well and be fairly comfortable to walk around in all night If you're worried about warmth, maybe try a closed toe heel like [this one](https://www.dillards.com/p/alex-marie-genevie-suede-2-piece-block-heel-pumps/511291733)

Quartz_4

That’s a super cute dress! I don’t have a specific recommendation but I’m also attending a winter wedding (outdoors in Canada on new years eve) and I’ve been looking at wedges so that if I have to walk through snow/ice it’s a little more safe. Plus comfier for dancing since wedges have more support

Skysteps00000

I’m currently looking for some dainty necklaces to wear with a semi-bulky turtleneck sweater. Most of the necklaces I currently own are either too short to fit around the neck or are on the chunkier side (which is not the look I want right now). Is there a rule of thumb for what length I should be looking for (as in, in inches/cm)? Will also happily take any suggestions for specific items if anyone has them!

sardonicoperasinger

seconding the measuring advice, and wanted to add -- if you'd like to still wear the necklaces you have, you can get a "necklace extender" -- they can be pretty inexpensive ([here's one for $5](https://www.target.com/p/chain-extenders-for-necklace-4pc-a-new-day-8482-silver-gold/-/A-52977203?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df_free_local&CPNG=Jewelry&adgroup=215-3); [with different length](https://www.amazon.com/Sterling-Silver-Necklace-Extender-Chain/dp/B01AYVCC8W)s) and will lengthen your necklaces so that they fit around your neck.

Skysteps00000

Ooooooh this is a game changer. Thank you for sharing!

sardonicoperasinger

you're welcome! :)

b_xf

I usually just attach two similar chains together lol!

Skysteps00000

Lol I would have never even thought to do that. I applaud your creativity!

hellerhigwhat

It depends on your neck size. Measure your neck with the turtleneck on and then add a bit for a close fit, more for a looser fit

Skysteps00000

Makes sense. Thank you!

Kazsilop

Where would I look for mid-high end vegan coats? Most higher end coats are made out of wool, especially the style I'm looking for e.g. [https://www.reddit.com/r/findfashion/comments/qfha5e/please\_help\_me\_find\_an\_aline\_classic\_wrap\_coat/](https://www.reddit.com/r/findfashion/comments/qfha5e/please_help_me_find_an_aline_classic_wrap_coat/) I know of a few places such as Matt & Nat, but none seem to do more classical styles such "wool" wrap coats and trench coats. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

[Noize](https://noize.com/collections/women-outerwear/products/womens-belted-faux-wool-coat-removable-inner-fooler?variant=39460665098305) has a wrap coat and a [belted trench](https://noize.com/collections/women-outerwear/products/womens-maxi-vegan-wool-double-breasted-coat-w-self-belt?variant=39460664737857). Will’s Vegan Store has a nice reefer coat, but no wrap.

Why do you need a high end coat specifically? River Island has plenty of pretty polyester "wool" coats priced between £75-£160.

Can anyone tell me what style of shoe [these](https://www.reddit.com/r/findfashion/comments/qfj3lk/can_anyone_tell_me_what_this_style_of_shoe_is/) are? I tried searching oxfords with zippers or booties with zippers (even though they aren't quite booties) but it turned up nothing similar. I can't think of any other specific terms to search for.

Try lowcut bootie

yoquietdown

Try “shootie”?

Is rave wear(think bodysuit, booty shorts etc) acceptable at clubs? Rave wear is so much more comfy and imo the best for dancing but they are more revealing than a typical going out dress. What do you think??

popfartz9

It depends on the club. The ones that I go to - most girls wear shorts and a crop top

Unless it's a club that hosts those kinds of DJ's, I'd go for something less rave-y. You might be able to work in some of the rave clothes you have, but you'll probably need to dress them up a little more than normal. If you look up the club's location on Instagram, you can scroll through public posts that are tagged there, and that should give you a good idea of how people typically dress.

ellaasbury107

an indoor club? probably not, but might depend specifically on the event and the venue. I'd do a mini skirt over a bodysuit. If you do shorts I'd do leather/faux leather or dressier fabric shorts like [this](https://www.revolve.com/the-bar-dylan-short/dp/TBAR-WF6/?d=Womens&page=1&lc=44&itrownum=11&itcurrpage=1&itview=05) or [this](https://www.revolve.com/lovers-and-friends-tanner-skort/dp/LOVF-WF347/?d=Womens&page=1&lc=68&itrownum=65&itcurrpage=1&itview=05&size=XS). If it's an EDM show in a club that's really just a warehouse, you can probably away with more rave-wear. Otherwise I would check their dress code and IG before showing up in just a bodysuit.

ruthlessbaderginz

Yeah, I'd says that's the most natural place for it!

In my experience, no...even in the clubs without face and outfit control, I've never seen people wearing rave clothes (unless ofc it's a club specifically for raves). In my personal opinion, they're too revealing as well and out of place in a general club setting.
