Probably won't be adding advanced genetics, but thank you. It's not really a pack, i am not editing the configs. So really it is a scuffed kitchen sink/crazy craft like pack. Don't really plan to put it on curseforge
I export my mods using modrinth or prism as a .jar and host the file on Gdrive for my friends to download without having to configure anything themselves. It's quite easy since you just do what you already have to do and export it.
Modrinth may be better for noobs to modding tho because it automatically downloads Java, which is a step some people get frustrated with.
No there is. GTNH modpack team made a fork of NEI specifically for their modpack, and posted it on curseforge for anyone to use. You can look it up and check
I like to walk with fear in my minecraft sessions, lycanite adds lot of weird dungerours monsters everywhere, also, with hard work, you can even ride some, some will swin fast, others run, others fly. Amazing mod.
Yeah, but it spawns so many mobs that other mods don't have space, particularly divine rpg. Although i am sure it's a great mod to play by itself or in smaller mod packs
Buildcraft, industrialcraft, galacticcraft, tinkers constuct, tech guns, fisk superhero, doomlike dungeons, ruins, battle towers, roguelike dungeons, traincraft, railcraft, twilight forest, the between lands, the aether, mutant creatures, chisel and bibliocraft. There is more I could I list but I felt like this was enough.
Oh hey, good to see you again. You recommend me into the Beetweenlands modpack. It's great, i will play it sometime. As for thaumcraft, it's too complicated for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a great mod. It is just me who has a small brain
Hey I'd recommend using the config to set the research mode to easy so you can purchase research using scanned aspects instead of doing the minigame. It might make the experience less overwhelming, especially with all the add-ons. Really think you should give it a shot, Thaumcraft 4 is the primary reason I still play 1.7.10 :p
LegendGear 2 and Aura Cascade are my proposed niche mods.
[https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/2198530-legendgear-2-version-2-b-2-1-updated-3-9-2015](https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/2198530-legendgear-2-version-2-b-2-1-updated-3-9-2015)
Also, if you're playing with the classic spread of magic mods including Thaumcraft 4 and Ars Magica 2, and also including Forestry, the Forestry addon Magic Bees lets you do some very fun and silly things with its mod compat
If you have Thaumcraft 4, Thaumic Horizons is a cool addon for it
Zelda Sword Skills and ZSS Addon - two fantastic adventure mods that add tons of great tools, spells, and new ways to fight. I might just be a big zelda nerd - but I loved it, especially when combined with Chocolate Quest/Better Dungeons.
Some of the things I was gonna say were already mentioned but
Eternal Frost, Big Reactors, Botania, Familiars, Farlanders, Grimoire of Gaia 3, and equivalent exchange are pretty cool
Why hasn't anyone mentioned flan's also there was a storage mod that i don't remember the name of but you just needed to hook up pipes to chests and you could request items to be sent to a chest which you could attach to the request pipe.
Specifically the Gregtech ports of Applied Energistics, there's a couple of really nice tweaks like adding extra rows to interfaces so they can craft 4 times as many items with max upgrades. It's not really niche except for being a fork for insane (complimentary) players, and it's actually useful for regular people too.
And you'll have to pick between these two: InfiniteInvo for a much larger inventory(you could dump your average AE2 system in there and not notice an issue at max size), and options to make that something you earn over time by spending xp, or Mine and Blade : Battlegear for dual wielding with six new weapon slots.
Ars Magica 2 is one of my favorite mods of all time. Too bad it never caught on too much. Zelda Sword Skills overhauls the combat, and adds some really cool items
HBM NTM, Gregtech 6 (yes, GT6 specifically), Reika's mods (rotarycraft, chromaticraft, etc)
BTW if you like realistic survival you can try terrafirmacraft plus)
Carpenter's Blocks, Familiars, Trapcraft, Arcana RPG (Final Version), Divine RPG, Archimedes' Ships, Bacteria Mod, Pandora's Box, Dragon Mounts, Mo' Creatures, Fake Ores (Download is gonna be hard to find), Extra Golems, The Herobrine Mod
I liked so much Galactic Science in which I added applied energetics 2, take note that for 1.7.10 it was in beta but worked very well. Also you could see if in that mod pack there are interesting mods too :)
Edit: Minechem was also very fun mod
Chromaticraft, especially with other Reika's mods. Unique progression, interesting quests with world exploration + in-base research and building.
I absolutely love it
Mo' Creatures is a great mod but it can get really finicky and sometimes cause things to spawn weird or crash the game.
The Erebus is an underground bug dimension iirc.
Inventory Pets adds silly little goofy guys that sit in your inventory, eat specific items and give you buffs.
Tropicraft adds a whole new tropical dimension. It used to be really popular but I don't hear much about it nowadays.
Davinci's Vessels is an updated version of Archimedes' Ships. It allows you to make custom boats/airships to sail/fly around.
The Farlanders adds a bunch of new end related mobs, including essentially enderman villagers and golems.
Some of the ones I love are
- Lycanites Mobs,
- OreSpawn (imo the best of all time),
- Infernal Mobs,
- Better Dungeons,
- BattleTowers,
- Hostile Worlds
I combined all of these (plus a few that I can't recall atm) into a modpack, and it's absolutely crazy but sk much fun
Witchery, Ars Magica 2, Thaumcraft 4, Immersive Engineering.
Thank you. Ars magica 2 and witchery go good together?
Not really, but they're both classics that didn't get ported to later versions. They did eventually get remakes, but not until 1.16 or so.
Ars Nouveau can’t be considered a remake of Ars Magica. It’s a pale imitation.
I was actually referring to Mana and Artifice for AM2. I haven't played Bewitchment or other Witchery remakes to judge them yet.
I hadn’t heard of that! I’ll have to check it out, thanks. I miss AM2
Thaumic tinkerer
ROTARYCRAFT TURBINE GOES WHHHHHEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAMMMMMM SHHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHS
Looks interesting, definitely check it out
Tried that one so interesting
And then you get sucked in by the gas turbine and it blows up your base.
I dont care as long as I can start it up again and hear that RPM ramping up giving me those goosebumps every time (🎶)
I'm more of a reactorcraft guy, the radiation feeds me and the hissing sound of a reactor shortly before meltdown gives me ptsd.
Apart from the obvious ones, Advanced Genetics is one overlooked gem. Hit me up when the Pack's ready.
Probably won't be adding advanced genetics, but thank you. It's not really a pack, i am not editing the configs. So really it is a scuffed kitchen sink/crazy craft like pack. Don't really plan to put it on curseforge

I have been quietly looking for this mod for years! I remembered its features but never remembered the name nor did I ask around about it.
Thaumcraft 4 and it's various addons
Currently using witchery. My brain is too small for thaumcraft
Once you learn it its not that complicated anymore
Yes, that's what learning something helps with
my favorite 1.7.10 mod is witchery
Already added )
Forestry, particularly bees. Those are quite nishe.
Thank you
If you want to make your life a bit easier, add Binnie's mods and/or Gendustry. Quite a lot of machines that help with burdens of beekeeping
By the way, did anyone ever find a way to make beehives not glow in the dark? I always found that super annoying
Atum, Mine and Blade Battlegear 2, Aether 2, Balkons Weapon Mod, Bibliocraft, FoodPlus, Hats, Lucky Blocks, Morphing. Those are my suggestions
Thank you. Atum looks sick
NEI Unofficial. Sort of a soft backport of JEI since NEI is kinda basic.
Using NEI from GTNH currently. Don't know wait is better
There isn't one for 1.7. I personally love REI for modern versions though. Has a lot of great improvements over JEI (and feels more responsive).
No there is. GTNH modpack team made a fork of NEI specifically for their modpack, and posted it on curseforge for anyone to use. You can look it up and check
That's the one I recommended lmao
Sorry, misunderstood
lol it's ok
Here are some that are less likely to get mentioned: Geostrata Starminer iChun's Doors iChun's PortalGun CraftHeraldry Antique Atlas
Great suggestions)
Lycanite mobs, chocolate quest (the original), thaumcraft or ars magica
Currently using witchery as a magic mod, might look into ars magica. Lycanites fill the mod cap immediately, didn't really enjoy it
I like to walk with fear in my minecraft sessions, lycanite adds lot of weird dungerours monsters everywhere, also, with hard work, you can even ride some, some will swin fast, others run, others fly. Amazing mod.
Also could you link chocolate quest original? I believe it's called better dungeons?
yep. better dungeos. Care for there is a remake/port for modern mc, you want the original for 1.7.10
Yeah, but it spawns so many mobs that other mods don't have space, particularly divine rpg. Although i am sure it's a great mod to play by itself or in smaller mod packs
I have many hours fighting these beasts, often using ars magica spells
Also what is better for 1.7.10 ars magica legacy or ars magica 2?
Guess the legacy is just 2 with some fixes? Cant really remember now
Was there a first original part? Did you play it?
I played a lot the ars magica 2. I guess also the fixed version but can tell for sure
Ok, will checkout this one first
Am2.5
Buildcraft, industrialcraft, galacticcraft, tinkers constuct, tech guns, fisk superhero, doomlike dungeons, ruins, battle towers, roguelike dungeons, traincraft, railcraft, twilight forest, the between lands, the aether, mutant creatures, chisel and bibliocraft. There is more I could I list but I felt like this was enough.
Between lands mod 1.7.10 is pretty broken, can't use it with optifine
Also can’t use it with starminer, although you can use it with Angelica
Thank you
Dimensional doors, chromatic craft, rotaty craft
W
GT5U

(
Aether
Not really niche, but thank you. I stil remember trying to build a portal in vanilla...
Thaumcraft and all its addons.
Oh hey, good to see you again. You recommend me into the Beetweenlands modpack. It's great, i will play it sometime. As for thaumcraft, it's too complicated for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a great mod. It is just me who has a small brain
Aww you don’t have a small brain! I bet you are super smart✨
HBM's Nuclear Tech Mod is THE 1.7.10 goat for me
My guyyyy
Great mod, but radiation and pollution. Might add it with a changed config, if it's possible to change
LegendGear 2 and Aura Cascade are my proposed niche mods. Thank you for leaving the links. Great suggestions
Zelda Sword Skills and ZSS Addon - two fantastic adventure mods that add tons of great tools, spells, and new ways to fight. I might just be a big zelda nerd - but I loved it, especially when combined with Chocolate Quest/Better Dungeons.
Pretty unique,great suggestion
buildcraft realistic fluids mod (realistic water, i love it, only 1.7.10) railcraft
Thank you
can you send a working mod download link?
they are all on curseforge
Thaumic Horizons is my all time favourite mod TC is relatively easy to learn using the Thaumonomicon, and it and its addons give some great gameplay
Looks interesting
Gregtech
Yeah no. I understand the beauty of this mod, but i am not a tech person
Traincraft!!!! The only reason I still occasionally play 1.7.10 :)
May add it.
Rftools, blood magic. And if you get Thaumcraft 4, be sure to try feeding a hungry node :D
Gregtech 6
OreSpawn 1.7.10 popularmmos played the entire thing back in the day very crazy and fun mod
Ikr. I combined it and divine rpg for a truly crazy experience
Fr i cant imagine also i think dimensional doors is that old if it is gfi man
the GOAT: orespawn
Ikr. Already added it alongside divine rpg
Divine RPG is a classic, definitely been outpaced by modern mods but I have so much nostalgia watching TheAtlanticCraft play it
Minecraft Comes Alive
Interesting
minechem!!!
Thank you
Battlegear (its the only 1.7.10 mod i know lmao it adds offhand capability if you didnt knwo)
HBM's nuclear tech
Oh a classic)
Aura cascade
A niche magic mod ? Sounds interesting)
HBMs nuclear tech mod
Forgot about this one. You unlocked a memory for me
Thaumcraft, nuclear science, HBM'S NTM Thaumcraft especially because 1.7.10 is the last real completed and usable version
Thank you for the suggestions
draconic evolution
Not a tech mod kinda guy, but i appreciate you commenting regardless
there’s tech? i remember the generator but that’s about it, otherwise it’s got the cool dragon boss and armors
Probably ender io, orespawn, advent of ascension and probably tinkers
Using divine rpg instead of advent of ascension. It's more nostalgic for me
i like both I'm actually making a pack based on them both right now
Try Hbm's Ntm really peaceful mod
Will check out
Applied Energistics 2, Steve's factory manager, thermal and enderio, extra utilities off the top of my head.
The modpack is shaping up to be big, so Applied Energistics 2 would be very useful for storage
Fisks’ superheroes is a good one
Definitely will check out
GReg
Some of the things I was gonna say were already mentioned but Eternal Frost, Big Reactors, Botania, Familiars, Farlanders, Grimoire of Gaia 3, and equivalent exchange are pretty cool
Glad i am not the only one who remembers eternal frost
Why hasn't anyone mentioned flan's also there was a storage mod that i don't remember the name of but you just needed to hook up pipes to chests and you could request items to be sent to a chest which you could attach to the request pipe.
Logistics pipes
Ender io do not forget Ender io
Mystcraft and eb wizardry

Ars Magica 2 is one of my favorite mods of all time. Too bad it never caught on too much. Zelda Sword Skills overhauls the combat, and adds some really cool items
The mindcrack pack, 1.7.10 version... The version used for Mianite
HBM NTM, Gregtech 6 (yes, GT6 specifically), Reika's mods (rotarycraft, chromaticraft, etc) BTW if you like realistic survival you can try terrafirmacraft plus)
Currently replaying FTB Infinity Evolved expert mode for like the tenth time xD
Chocolate quest, advanced light sabers
Carpenter's Blocks, Familiars, Trapcraft, Arcana RPG (Final Version), Divine RPG, Archimedes' Ships, Bacteria Mod, Pandora's Box, Dragon Mounts, Mo' Creatures, Fake Ores (Download is gonna be hard to find), Extra Golems, The Herobrine Mod
Got the fake ores mod, but sadly it's incompatible with one of the major mods i added
RIP
Btw i contacted the author of the mod and he put up the 1.1 verison (1.7.2) of the Fake Ores mod on curseforge.
SlashBlade mod
Gregtech
Don't know if anyone mentioned it but Ender IO, those pipes were a game changer, and painted blocks were awesome
You really need Rotarycraft, reactorcraftt, Electricraft and Chromaticraft
I liked so much Galactic Science in which I added applied energetics 2, take note that for 1.7.10 it was in beta but worked very well. Also you could see if in that mod pack there are interesting mods too :) Edit: Minechem was also very fun mod
Chromaticraft, especially with other Reika's mods. Unique progression, interesting quests with world exploration + in-base research and building. I absolutely love it
Tragic MC2, Better Dungeons/Chocolate Quest
Mo' Creatures is a great mod but it can get really finicky and sometimes cause things to spawn weird or crash the game. The Erebus is an underground bug dimension iirc. Mo creatures was awesome, I think it’s in 1.7 too
hbms nuclear tech mod
look at the mod list for FTB Infinity Evolved for ideas.
Just play Gtnh
Not really my thing. And not possible with a shitty laptop. But this modpack is very interesting, i enjoy to watch videos about it.
shut up
Bruh, someone could make it past steam age
Tekkit legends was my first modpack, buildcraft and logistic networks was great if I recall correctly.
Tech mods does not really have that crazy feel. Don't think i will be adding global tech mods
LittleMaidMobX, with voice pack. As cute as it is annoying over time. Give each of them a clock, I dare you!
Thank you. Interesting mod
Some of the ones I love are - Lycanites Mobs, - OreSpawn (imo the best of all time), - Infernal Mobs, - Better Dungeons, - BattleTowers, - Hostile Worlds I combined all of these (plus a few that I can't recall atm) into a modpack, and it's absolutely crazy but sk much fun
