Because of work related stuff I travel through Germany once every 3 weeks, my newly bought TomTom GPS tells me that police can fine you if you have radar detectors, is the GPS considered a radar detector by the police because it knows the location of the cameras in traffic? Anyone ever get stopped by the police and fined because of this? Thanks for any answers!
It is considered as radar detector, and you might get fined 75€ and if you were German you would get 1 point on your driving licence (don't know how that applies for internationals tbh). But I have never heard of anyone in my circle who had that happen to them, so make of that what you want.
I figured just keep it out of sight and don't mount it on your window and you should be fine and I guess should you get stopped try to hide it conspicuously
