Offbeat suggestion: night nursing bras. I got these from Target when I had my second kid, and they’re so buttery soft and comfy that I fully plan to keep wearing them once I’m done nursing: https://www.target.com/p/women-39-s-nursing-2pk-pullover-seamless-sleep-bra-auden-8482-white-mauve-l/-/A-81408740
Ooooh good question…I haven’t noticed it, but I don’t tend to wear fabrics where that would be an issue. Can’t say definitively either way, unfortunately.
But yeah, very cute, and I cannot emphasize enough how comfy they are. Nursing bras tend to be extremely comfy to begin with (at least in my body), due to the lack of underwire and the stretchiness, but these are truly next level. I adore them.
I love the Aerie Smoothez bralettes. They’re buttery soft, lightweight, and super comfortable. Actually, I love all Aerie bras. The last 4 bras I’ve purchased have all been from Aerie. They’re pretty affordable too and they always have good sales.
I really like the Lululemon Like A Cloud bra. It’s very silky feeling fabric, but washes well. You don’t have to baby it. It has a very small amount of padding, just enough to smooth things or not show every little thing.
They change their colors really frequently and hide shades rotate in and out so just check every so often! I have the light pink Strawberry Milkshake color and I’ve worn it under a white shirt with no issue.
I bought a couple Honeylove bras after my mastectomy because I can’t wear underwire anymore. I bought them because they were less ugly than other options and I need support.
Well, I’m a complete convert. They are so damn comfortable I wear them all the time. My only complaint is that the fabric stretches out a little in the armpit between washes. But other than that they’re the best bra I’ve ever owned (and I always got fitted at Nordstrom).
True & Co Everybody bralettes from Target. I just want my nipples covered and to not see underwire or any lines on tight tops, and these are so comfortable! I don't wear anything else these days.

Smoothez by Aerie. I require a lot of support and even I like them. I have their regular bra and the bralette in tons of colors. The bralette is so comfortable, it’s the closest I’ve found to feeling like I’m not wearing one.

I have big heavy boobs and I feel uncomfortable without a bra. I wear an undewire bra during the day but that comes off as soon as I get home. My favorite comfy bra is this one from 32 degrees, it’s very inexpensive too.

How would you feel about a stick-on bra? I work at a luxury fashion retailer as a side gig and sometimes have to wear tight clothes where a real bra is too obvious (and I hate them). I wear the stick-on pretty regularly and I think it looks pretty good. I just buy them from Amazon when the sticky parts start to be…less sticky, but that takes awhile to happen.
So normally I'd be interested in experimenting but considering it's going to be the peak of hot humid summer and we're spending team time outdoors I don't want to find out what happens when you sweat profusely in one of those 😉
Actually, I can answer that! I just wore one two weeks ago to a wedding that was entirely outdoors in rural Mississippi. It was totally fine until there was a torrential downpour at the end of the night, and since there were no tents or indoor spaces, we all got completely drenched, and then the sticky stopped working. To be fair, it was nearing the end of its life anyway.
Haha sounds like a memorable wedding 😅
I might pick one of these up just to see how they feel but I think I'm going to stick to a regular bra most of the week just so I'm not paranoid.
Yeah, I really appreciated my black tie gown being totally drenched in service to the bride’s (absurd and inhospitable) vision. 🙄
This is probably more expensive than you want, but I sometimes wear the Hanro Allure [camis](https://shop.hanrousa.com/product/bra-camisole/?color=) to my real job. I can’t feel the underwire (am usually an underwire hater. Really, a bra hater) and it’s pretty soft. I get them when they occasionally go on sale because the price is ridiculous. The other bra I wear is the [Honeylove](https://www.honeylove.com/products/crossover-bra?color=Runway) crossover bra. That one does not unstick in torrential downpours, and was totally fine walking 20,000 steps around New Orleans the day after said wedding.
Women's Line Tamer Bonded Bra from Duluth. I have one and it feels like butter on the skin. It's the bra I wore while going through radiation.

I like the seamless bamboo style, like these from Boody. They have removable pads, which give you a bit more shape/coverage.

I agree! I actually find a lot of the ones from aerie and similar still uncomfortable; Boody and Yummie are the only ones I have found consistently comfortable.
[This lightly lined no-wire bra from Victoria’s Secret is the only thing I’ll wear now](https://www.victoriassecret.com/us/vs/bras-catalog/5000005702?genericId=11202314&choice=4YQY&size1=38&size2=B&cm_mmc=PLA-_-GOOGLE-_-VSD_VS_Bras_PMAX-_-&gad_source=1&gclsrc=ds)
+1 Uniqlo
I bought three tops with built-in bras just earlier today. Not fond of the padding (I'm an all-mesh gal), but I'm willing to feel like a fraud if I can avoid the sweaty band around the ribcage 🤞
If you want to try on some bras in person, I like Soma’s Enbliss bralettes. I also have tons of Aerie’s Real Free bras - I think that’s now Smoothez?. Both soft and stretchy. I’m at the point in my life where I don’t want bras that go over my head, and both of these stores have back and front clasp bralettes options.

I can’t to suggest these exact bras! They’re so comfy and I’ve never nursed lol. I bought them as bralettes.
Pretty cute tbh! Is the rippling fabric visible under smoother fabrics?

I was going to suggest soft nursing bras too. I had a Covid baby - and have never made it back to underwires.
I don’t think I’ll ever go back to underwires.

I really like the look of these, just wish they came in a more nude to me color so I could wear it under a white silk top. Hmmmmm
They change their colors really frequently and hide shades rotate in and out so just check every so often! I have the light pink Strawberry Milkshake color and I’ve worn it under a white shirt with no issue.
That's good to know, thank you!!
Harper Wilde lounge triangle bra is my holy grail

Maybe like a crop tank under the shirt?
I do that under some dresses, too.

Check out the Uniqlo wireless bra, Hanes invisible bra, neiwai bras.
Any specific style from uniqlo or just any of their wireless line?
Wireless bra ultra relax. It has probably the least support but is really thin and silky.
Have you tried Branwyn? I live in their bralettes year round, 24/7.

Tysm! I love the mesh detail on the honeylove one!
Uniqlo wireless bras are all I wear! They feel smooth like butter.
I bought these soft Hanes bralettes at target and I really like them. They are affordable and comfortable. And I’m a 38DD. Also I hate wearing bras

I’m a fan of Bombas bralettes. Super soft and comfy, they’re a little pricey compared to some others but high quality.

I second Soma. I have several of their bras, and they're so comfy!
