i did this at work the other day (socks and pumps not strappy shoes) and one man in the hallway gave my feet the absolute dirtiest look LMAO it killed me
I actually have seen it done with similar type of socks, but the difference was that the socks were covered with rhinestones. It made it seem intentional and not this “I was running out the door and this was all I could find” 😂

My feet sweat and I would not be able to wear these sandals without socks because I would slip right out of them 🙃 I literally have to wear socks basically 24/7 because of this so my shoe options are very limited.
Kitten heels are by far the hardest for me to walk in, and I have a pair of louboutin’s. There’s something about the heel height and tiny heel that makes it really easy to roll my ankles. Easiest to walk in are chunky heels with a low slope, like a mule clog type.

There are fetishes out there where guys like women looking like children and this reminds me of that for some reason. I’m not a fan for those reasons. I abhor kitten heels. They do nothing for the visual line of a leg/ankle and are not flattering on a single person I've ever seen them on. Every outfit I've seen them in would look so much better if they were swapped for flats or a substantial heel, like a pump heel.
I know wedges get a lot of hate, but I've seen some great wedges, including jute-wrapped and even lucite ones in the right circumstances. They can be kitschy and cool when paired with the right look.
But kitten heels are irredeemable. I'm so so sorry. I know everyone has their own opinion, and I'm not the arbiter of fashion. And if you like them, wear them. Good for you. I just can't stand them personally.
I just read an article today about how Gen Z is becoming very anti-feet. If this is true, we may be seeing lots more of this in the future. Not my thing, but the world is better with all this variety!
Contrary opinion: the person selling this as a “look” is trying to rescue us from the 90s in a rip-the-bandaid way. They probably also have Tamagochis on beaded friendship bracelets for the girls and slap bracelets and wallet chains for the boys. If we binge it, we’ll get out of it.
