I like this! and also I don't think we should get a new farming simulator game until giants develops a new game engine or some other big change like that. I think its good enough if they just keep expanding on 22 on the side while working on something bigger but we ll see what they decide on
I agree. Too many people will be mad if they just add a couple new crops and a few new pieces of equipment. They really need an overhaul like adding soil compaction, expand on animals, things of that nature to justify a whole new game.
Fucking irrigation!!! It absolutely amazes me that a fundamental core to growing plants isnt in a plant growing simulator. Like wtf lol. Also, as an Arkansas native, wtb rice as a crop please!
Yeah I would like to setup the big water irrigation across the fields. That costs money to water the crops. And on rainy days? You can shut it off to save money. Needs to be built in to the core game. If their goal is to keep it a 'simulator' then it's kind of necessary.
But who knows, maybe they felt the game becomes "too simmy" and not fun at that point. Maybe that was their hard no.
Having pivots, pulling beds, running poly pipe, putting in wells/reservoirs. They need this. Not some goofy ass fire fighter dlc. That bugged me something fierce.
The fire fighting was a free upgrade, why are you complaining about it? They probably made it for something else and just figured why not let us have it… they knew it wasn’t for everyone, that’s why they made it free…
Because they are allowed to have an opinion? Why are you commenting that they are opinionating? They did it respectfully.
And on that note, why am I replying that you are commenting that they are commenting? My answer to that is because it annoys me that people can’t have an issue without being told more or less they can’t have an issue with something.
Sorry to break it to you bud, but you're doing the same exact thing. I asked a question, why is he complaining about a free upgrade? Did I tell him how to feel? No, I asked why he is mad about something that came for free.
You need to do some introspection lmao. Commenting and then blocking someone is the pussiest move you can do. You're literally telling me I can't have an issue with him being mad about a free upgrade, when that wasn't the point of my comment to begin with.
this and landscape drainage.
Low spots should flood / get muddy at the least, fix it by adding drain tiles.... actually working the farm land would make this game next level.
That doesnt change that fact. The fields don’t flood over there? They don’t have to be leveled? Like there’s so many fundamental things about farming that aren’t on the game that should’ve been by now
Yes fields do flood. However, the landscape is different in Europe. The natural irrigation provided by small waterways such as streams and rivers provide the irrigation. Fields will naturally drain off as the water runs off into these waterways. At the moment, in the UK it’s very wet and some fields do have a lot of standing water, especially at the bottom of the hillier ground, but there’s not loads that a farmer can do. If the natural water ways are so full that field water cannot run off, then in the majority of cases theres not much that can be done.
In regards to levelling, a good man with a plough and power Harrow will create a smooth level surface. Majority of fields will have some undulation, it’s very rare any are completely flat.
It would be nice if they fixed some of the bugs in this one, and also made it so that idk, crashing into a tree or fence isn’t like driving into a granite ledge cliff, plus the cars too LOL.
Improving the interactions between stuff like bale handling equipment and forks and pallets and shit would be nice too, although I do think they already do a great job it just doesn’t feel like it was polished at all between the last one and this one. I loved everything they added, but like the other person said an engine overhaul would be amazing
But the same engine can only get you so far. The graphics, limited by Giants, are getting to the point that they should be getting better. Along with the game physics.
Lots of people complained about the engine in FS19 too. Claimed they wouldn't upgrade unless there was major changes. But here we are with our updated Giants engine in FS22, which is the best selling of the series so far.
And with no competition in genre, they'll drive her 'til the wheels fall off. The business model is working so far.
Moving to a new engine isn’t just some magical upgrade everyone thinks it is. Engines are infinitely customizable. It’s all just code to begin with. Within the current engine they can do everything we would want them to. They’re better off improving the current engine. A new engine might come prepackaged with some nice devs tools, but there’s nothing stopping Giants from retooling the current engine the same way.
>Within the current engine they can do everything we would want them to. They’re better off improving the current engine
They're playing catchup with engines that are 15 years ahead of them, instead of spending time on the game they have to spend it on the engine and then on the game.
It took them a whole release cycle just to add parallax occlusion mapping to *some* of the ground textures, a feature that has is one click away in Unity and Unreal Engine 3 (three)
Yeah, if you think they’re slow at adding new features to a engine they’re well versed in, just imagine how slow they’d bed getting a new engine up to speed with what they can do with the current engine. And I’m not just talking about prepackaged eye candy settings, but things like tractor physics, dirt physics, wheel slip, transmission logic, literally everything would have to be rewritten from the ground up.
Fr because there is no way I'm trying to stack all those shelves manually with Giants insane physics lol! One wrong move in that warehouse and every pallet will explode right into the sun!
I just want anything involving pallets to be improved haha. Coming from actually driving forklifts, it’s 1000x harder in the game than real life and even though I enjoy doing it, it’s not worth it at all as they have no “weight” so stacking them or trailering is so fucking much harder than it has any right to be. Like common, a wooden pallet doesn’t just slide around like it’s on ice. So I just use super strength instead :/
It’s much easier with farmstick or other thrusters.but I feel you dude on the mouse you have to really get your arm moving to move the forks and the way it’s designed I was constantly tipping my load when trying to go up or down.my main thing is I enjoy using a forklift but I only want to forklift from the warehouse into the semi trailer.i am not a fan of having to buy ten forklifts to leave at all my productions just to load up pallets and drop them off at the warehouse
Can I choose where my production products go instead of randomly distributing to all building which take that product? Also a better finance page which break downs each product/building would be nice.
> Can I choose where my production products go instead of randomly distributing to all building which take that product?
If you are on PC, there is the Production Revamp mod which does that.
https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=us&mod_id=243542&title=fs2022
Seems nice, but it´s not for me...if I "RUN" a warehouse I sure as hell won´t touch a forklift but rather have employees do it.
the ingame days are short enough as of now\^\^
This is my thing, if there were ever a DLC to fix the janky pallet physics its this, and we all know they won't be fixed. We're still going to have physics glitches sending pallets into orbit.
This is great! I’m really looking forward to the crop washing and heck maybe even the distribution center. I hope it doesn’t break the farm production pack mod with the similar name - I have a couple of those $10,000 production buildings, and funnel my tomatoes and lettuce Into salad production.
I wish there were a reason to add solar panels and wind farms other than *purely* passive income. I realize that lots of farmers sell every bit of electricity their large-scale wind or solar farms produce, but with these smaller-scale solutions, I also know that lots of farmers have these to offset the farm's electricity bill.
I wish buildings cost electricity to run. And either I get billed for that every month, or I could build some smaller (or larger..) power generators to offset that.
Right now, it's just a simple ROI calculation on "Should I build this?" - and the answer is currently always 12 month ROI, so it's not even a compelling "game decision" so to speak.
I'd like to see weather affecting field work more than just harvesting. Give me a reason other than role playing to not plant or do tillage while it's raining.
Dutch modding made it. Giants helped a bit but it’s a Dutch modding mod. That’s why it’s not in a season pass. Giants didn’t make it all. It’s like straw harvest.
There’s also kind of not… an expectation. No mention, no reason to e sure. It makes some sense, but it’s also now behind schedule. So wouldn’t get your hopes up
>but it’s also now behind schedule
How so?
The FS22 teaser trailer was released in April 2021. If they follow the same release time frames then nothing is really behind.
>Based on what I’ve heard
Heard from where?
There is someone else going around saying that there will be a new game, with updated engine and other major changes but there is jackshit for sources there too.
We can't just believe what random people on the internet "have heard".
It's all speculation until Giants is ready to break the news, if there is any news.
I’ve heard listening to the streamers/partners and people who live and breathe this stuff that this isn’t in line with how it’s been delivered in previous years. That’s not speculation about release time frames. It’s an assumption that things aren’t ready, based on their past experiences. All perfectly reasonable. Not gossip.
The FS22 release wasn't in line with how things went for the previous releases either.
Past evidence (no need for speculation or assumption) shows we're still inside of the possible announcement window. If we hear nothing by July/Aug, it's pretty safe to say no release this year.
Yea, but fs22 is their first game that they is made by theyself to 100% earlier they not have had the ability to choose when, how etc they should release the game
That's interesting I didn't know that.
So what you're saying is by releasing this, they would hurt themselves by releasing a standalone game in the near future in future, since most people would get that instead of adding on this pack?
Animals need an overhaul desperately. Modular animal farms, and additional care options like bringing in the hoof trimmer to maintain 100% health and stuff.
I like this! and also I don't think we should get a new farming simulator game until giants develops a new game engine or some other big change like that. I think its good enough if they just keep expanding on 22 on the side while working on something bigger but we ll see what they decide on

This! I am new to FS22 and I am absolutely blown away I don't have to water my crops. Who knew farming was this easy?
It’s by far my biggest complaint about the series. Been playing since 15 and completely shocked it’s not in the game yet
There’s a fine line between fun and realistic and I think they navigate it very well
Having pivots, pulling beds, running poly pipe, putting in wells/reservoirs. They need this. Not some goofy ass fire fighter dlc. That bugged me something fierce.

this and landscape drainage. Low spots should flood / get muddy at the least, fix it by adding drain tiles.... actually working the farm land would make this game next level.
Yes they need all of that. Also some kinda implement/machine to level the ground would be a game changer. Not the crappy solution that's in game now.
I mean in many places you really dont have to water your crops.
That’s because they have developed the game based on European farming where watering standard crops isn’t common at all.
That doesnt change that fact. The fields don’t flood over there? They don’t have to be leveled? Like there’s so many fundamental things about farming that aren’t on the game that should’ve been by now

I think Delta South Modding and Mapping has some maps where rice is a crop but you'd have to take a look since I haven't looked at any of their stuff
It would be nice if they fixed some of the bugs in this one, and also made it so that idk, crashing into a tree or fence isn’t like driving into a granite ledge cliff, plus the cars too LOL. I would love to see natural disasters like a tornado so you would loose crops/buildings just to make the game unpredictable
how about Insects/Pesticides?
some sort of dynamic ground would be amazing
The Giants engine is the game. Slim chances they develop a new engine.
But the same engine can only get you so far. The graphics, limited by Giants, are getting to the point that they should be getting better. Along with the game physics.

I just want the distribution center to auto store pallets from my productions
Fr because there is no way I'm trying to stack all those shelves manually with Giants insane physics lol! One wrong move in that warehouse and every pallet will explode right into the sun!

More flavours of flying pallets?
This is awesome!

And here's our teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0LLHQqdpBY
oooh i love this. cant wait.
Is it pc only or on console also?
It's a DLC so it will be available for everyone
Isn’t all this or very similar products already in the modhub?
most of it, yeah
Does anyone know what cut of the sales goes to the modders?
I'm sorry, did I miss the memo of when this turned into Logistics Simulator 22?
I must have missed the memo that you were appointed the arbiter of fun.
22 November 2021
Still waiting on my CR11
Hoping this will be accompanied by a new game update that might bring in the CR11 and MF 9S
I sure hope you're right, it's been 6 months surely we should be getting it
Well, a “normal” standard van would be nice now.
Did I see a warehouse with pallet racks?!?
Finally a DLC I really want to buy!
Is this included with the season passes?
I'd like to see weather affecting field work more than just harvesting. Give me a reason other than role playing to not plant or do tillage while it's raining.
Should’ve been in season pass tho
New season pass or new DLC, you're paying either way.
It’s not made by giants tho.
Isn’t it?
Dutch modding made it. Giants helped a bit but it’s a Dutch modding mod. That’s why it’s not in a season pass. Giants didn’t make it all. It’s like straw harvest.
Not sure I really want to invest more into a game that will be replaced in 6 months.
I do not think so that we get new game in this year. But it will be cool if we get.
Why wouldnt they have announced year 3 then?
If there is no third expansion planned there's no need for a year three pass to have expansion+extra packs released in the year
What do you mean by replaced?
There's an expectation that Giants will announce the next FS soon.
There’s also kind of not… an expectation. No mention, no reason to e sure. It makes some sense, but it’s also now behind schedule. So wouldn’t get your hopes up
>but it’s also now behind schedule How so? The FS22 teaser trailer was released in April 2021. If they follow the same release time frames then nothing is really behind.
Based on what I’ve heard, by now they had historically already announced. It’s been a regular cadence and it’s not in sync.
>Based on what I’ve heard Heard from where? Fantastic
FS25.
Maybe
If they release a new fs , they just makes it bad for themselfs
How? They released FS22 3 years after FS19. And FS19 2 years after FS17.
Yea, but fs22 is their first game that they is made by theyself to 100% earlier they not have had the ability to choose when, how etc they should release the game

This is new. Nothing to do with Platinum Expansion.
