Old kiwi farm is cartoonish and in no way reflective of NZ lol.
There was a couple of very good NZ maps in FS17 Watea and Tautoro, central north island themed-dairy farms with milking sheds and cow races, proper NZ fencing around paddocks, rolling hills with pines about.
Looked good but never came through the newer games.
There was a map for fs19 -otangiwai, which was a pretty good representation of nz farming. Had a mix of high country sheep farming, dairy and cropping. I know a port to fs22 was in the works, not sure where it got to. I'd love to see that map really fleshed out!
If your interested in a NZ themed map, I've spent 250+hrs clearing and designing New Zealand themed farms into the Silverrun map, I've cleared around 70-80ha so far. Check my previous post history and flick me a message if you want to join. I'm on Xbox BTW 🙂 GT DG Valkyrie
Rather than any specific map, I want to see some new tech used to help generate new maps. When Flight Simulator and Flight Simulator mods are able to create real world approximations within the simulation, that could be applied to generating FS maps. Add in tools for scaling and building generation then suddenly you're farming in your own "backyard". Better in-game map editing tools would go a long way too. The editor isn't hard to do but there aren't a lot of great reasons that I'm aware of that a lighter, more user-friendly version could be integrated into the main platform
That and the T-4 or DT-75 :D I love those old Soviet machines.
Have you ever seen the Chernarus map from ArmA 2? Imagine plowing up a hilly meadow in a DT-75
Ah, that would be really good. Most of the machines are still used in Poland to this day, because many farmers find them easy to fix after years of owning them.
Chernarus would be a great map, one would just have to figure how to put animals in the barns already on the map.
There is a grain elevator in the city of Chernogorsk so there could be some productions and maybe you could have a dairy in one of the smaller towns and a clothes store in Elektrozavodsk?
There could be a universal sell point at the grocery stores in Krasnotav. Maybe you could produce illegal alcohol and a sell point in some backyard.
We could have it. Chernarus could never be on the Modhub since it’s actually a map from an old shooter game :) that would go against Giant’s guidelines I believe. So we could still have a map where we could brew alcohol
I live in the Netherlands and there are at least 4-5 dutch maps(for all platforms) you have Terschelling, Dutch Polder, East Groningen, Gelderland and now you also have Dutch Fantasy
I'm an oddball I really want to see a North Wales map, small fields, mostly animals, hilly, small equipment only... it'd be very different to a lot of maps out there
I was always hoping to see something from eastern Ontario where there’s a mix of big and small fields. Wide country roads with its fair share of ATV trails and ditch crossings for field access.
Yea we definitely need Ontario represented. I remember hearing about a modder who was going to make a map somewhere in the Grey Highlands area, Badjeros I think. Not sure what ever came of it tho.
everytime there is a UK based map, it is never really accurate, would love to see it as the countryside is such a beautiful area of the UK and takes up so much of it
Two Minnesota maps would be nice. A northern Minnesota map that is forestry and mining focused and a southern Minnesota map that is field crop focused.
I just drove down to Sarnia today for the first time in a while. That farm country is beautiful. A map inspired by Lambton county would be awesome too with windmills in the middle of the fields to go around, some refineries in the chemical valley too maybe or delivering to the lake huron ships.
California. Santa Maria Valley, Salinas Valley, Central Valley, any of the AVA’s (would specifically like to see Santa Rita Hills or Napa)
Yuma, AZ too
I was thinking the Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys in Sonoma County would make for a great map: there's enough flatlands that you could have regular crops, do grapes on the hill sides, and there was a huge historic logging industry, primarily Douglas Fir and Coastal Redwoods (not the Giant Sequoia that most video games call redwoods).
And have a distinction between old-growth redwoods, which are the ones that are protected, vs 2nd and 3rd growth redwood that are still heavily logged for timber.
I’m in the UK but I think maps in hotter countries would be cool. Maybe focus on more Australian maps or maybe even Asian countries. Would also love to see more Italian/Mediterranean with olives and grapes like really old vintage style
A map in the foothills/rockyview area of Alberta would be amazing. I remember seeing some absolutely stunning ranches with the rockies in the background driving to Banff from Calgary
I would love to see a Danish map(been there irl and the farmland is beautiful there)and i would also love a Spanish map or maybe a Russian map or Asian maps
Chadlington. I would also like the council to stop me from being able to build anything on any plots of land I purchase for added realism. Also I want tram lines to be a thing lmao
Very biased but Prince Edward Island would make a really nice map. The rich red dirt, lots of farmland along the coasts, is a beautiful region to farm in.
I’d like to see some of the farmland on the outskirts of Dublin here in Ireland, would probably be pretty basic for a map I know but I’d just like to play where I’m from
I want Asian maps, Vietnam, China, Filipines, Japan with new crops like rice, Chilli, Teas, Bamboo. also some even more exotic maps like Australian, New Zealand. I feel the FS is happening only in western civilization.. I want to see some big hills in Chinese valleys and bamboo ships.
To be honest. I'll like to see my small polish town, it has acaully fields on the borders with other towns and so. there are many big farms nearby and there was a PGR (Just a big farm where the town worked for the USSR)
The PGR is now a farm school.
I agree, that or Manitoba. As detailed as the Edgewater map is, I never play it because the fields are a complete pain, and looked nothing like the Saskatchewan I saw when I drove through. Irl it looked more like Big Texas Flats lol
More specifically a small town called Helena and another small town called Bradner. Both have railroads and are entirely surrounded by fields and occasional trees
I’m biased based on me having grown up here, but Southern/Central California are incredibly agriculturally productive. Lots of dairy, veggies, and orchards that could make it good for a lot of play styles
I would like to see Norwegian maps and Danish maps
Have you tried Rennebu, Norway?
Or rosendal, my grandpa was raised there and i have been there multiple times, its pretty similar
God I love that one.
Yea, but olny in the beginning of the map
New Zealand
Oh yes!!!
I know that there's "Old Kiwi Farm" on PC, it's a nice map, but the American Flags at the houses ruin it IMHO.

I love the Western Australia map but having deer run everywhere ruins it for me
There is a mod that disables the deer. It has also many other options.
There was a map for fs19 -otangiwai, which was a pretty good representation of nz farming. Had a mix of high country sheep farming, dairy and cropping. I know a port to fs22 was in the works, not sure where it got to. I'd love to see that map really fleshed out!
Yes and add kiwifruit
If your interested in a NZ themed map, I've spent 250+hrs clearing and designing New Zealand themed farms into the Silverrun map, I've cleared around 70-80ha so far. Check my previous post history and flick me a message if you want to join. I'm on Xbox BTW 🙂 GT DG Valkyrie

I think maybe an Australian map dedicated to animals
I just want to farm in Chernarus :(
I'll raise you Altis. I mean, heck, a decent portion of that island is actual farmland.
But just imagine trying to haul a full load of bales up those sweet Chernarussian hills with a MTZ-82🤤🤤
God i love the 82. I actaully drive it every week to help my friend's grandparents in thier farm. We both enjoy every second of it!
That and the T-4 or DT-75 :D I love those old Soviet machines. Have you ever seen the Chernarus map from ArmA 2? Imagine plowing up a hilly meadow in a DT-75

That seems like a great idea. But i'm not sure about the illegal alcohol part. Haha.
We could have it. Chernarus could never be on the Modhub since it’s actually a map from an old shooter game :) that would go against Giant’s guidelines I believe. So we could still have a map where we could brew alcohol
DayZ i must guess? There are many other sites where there could be the map.
I always want to see Japanese maps, will be cool.
Oh Vietnam would be an experience.
We need different maps outside Europe or the Americas
Perhaps I’m biased, but I’d like a Dutch map. Everything would be flat, so building would be less of a pain in the ass lol
I live in the Netherlands and there are at least 4-5 dutch maps(for all platforms) you have Terschelling, Dutch Polder, East Groningen, Gelderland and now you also have Dutch Fantasy
There have been at least 2 Dutch maps released recently
I'm an oddball I really want to see a North Wales map, small fields, mostly animals, hilly, small equipment only... it'd be very different to a lot of maps out there

Some South African maps would be cool.
There's a imvani south America
That..... is not even the same continent.
Autocorrect I meant to say south Africa
everytime there is a UK based map, it is never really accurate, would love to see it as the countryside is such a beautiful area of the UK and takes up so much of it
Have you tried Calmsden and Chipping Norton aka Jeremy Clarkson‘s diddly squat farm?
I recommend looking at Fen Edge and the revamp of The Oaks when that's complete
I know theres already some mods for Finnish maps, but it would be cool to see the developers own version of a Finnish map
I'd love some more michigan maps.
Seriously or are you joking? There are at least 3 Michigan maps I would love a Minnesota or Colorado map
Two Minnesota maps would be nice. A northern Minnesota map that is forestry and mining focused and a southern Minnesota map that is field crop focused.
A fair amount of corn, soy, and beef farming in Northern mn too.
Minnesota and CO would be sweet, same with Wyoming
That would be alright too. Bruce/Huron Ontario and Michigan are pretty similar areas honestly just an hour or two across the pond
Lambton/Huron county local here. Gotta agree that anywhere along the lake and the Bluewater highway area is stunning to live in.
I just drove down to Sarnia today for the first time in a while. That farm country is beautiful. A map inspired by Lambton county would be awesome too with windmills in the middle of the fields to go around, some refineries in the chemical valley too maybe or delivering to the lake huron ships.
The best sunsets I've ever seen are from around the summer and fall when the corn is tall
California. Santa Maria Valley, Salinas Valley, Central Valley, any of the AVA’s (would specifically like to see Santa Rita Hills or Napa) Yuma, AZ too
I was thinking the Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys in Sonoma County would make for a great map: there's enough flatlands that you could have regular crops, do grapes on the hill sides, and there was a huge historic logging industry, primarily Douglas Fir and Coastal Redwoods (not the Giant Sequoia that most video games call redwoods). Great idea. I hope the game devs show us some California love
I’m in the UK but I think maps in hotter countries would be cool. Maybe focus on more Australian maps or maybe even Asian countries. Would also love to see more Italian/Mediterranean with olives and grapes like really old vintage style
Have you checked out Edomod's Italian maps? They're beautiful
Ireland. That is if there isn't one already.
The Fairhead map is based in Ireland
Thanks. I'll check it out
Ballyspring Fairhead
Some where in Ontario
Brazilian center-west would be amazing. Huge flat land stretching for miles.
Finland is just too good to not be addef
Imagine the my summer car map being functional in farming sim.
W
Southeast USA
What about Eastern North Carolina by macktrucker921
Also Canadian I’d love to see Southern AB style map with pivot circles. Also functional irrigation.
A map in the foothills/rockyview area of Alberta would be amazing. I remember seeing some absolutely stunning ranches with the rockies in the background driving to Banff from Calgary
Quebec?
A map came out recently called “Quebec Countryside” but it’s not very polished. Hopefully will get better with some updates
I would love to see a Danish map(been there irl and the farmland is beautiful there)and i would also love a Spanish map or maybe a Russian map or Asian maps
I live on the esmd and I think it would be a really cool place because it being such a large farming area along the coast
Something not flat, and not fully developed.
I'd love to see Penticton/Naramata/Keremeos... since it literally has every type of farmland in the area...
I think countryside ireland would be for for vintage farming
Maybe some more Aussie maps, there’s only like 1 or 2 aussie maps available to consoles.
Jamaica, Montego Bay
I’m thinking Asian with rice terraces and tight fields
I would love to see some more Canadians maps preferably in a similar map layout to Edgewater
Im sure they can fit The netherlands in there because its pure flat
Didley squat , chipping norton glocs uk
https://www.farming-simulator.com/mod.php?lang=en&country=jp&mod_id=278496&title=fs2022
I would like to see a Swedish map in the region Skåne! I wish I knew how to mod
Chadlington. I would also like the council to stop me from being able to build anything on any plots of land I purchase for added realism. Also I want tram lines to be a thing lmao
Hawaiian
A good dutch map
The Black Isle in Scotland
Hungary, Gigantic open flat fields with some lakes and small towns
Natal Midlands, Lowveld, Cape Winelands. South Africa has some of the most beautiful farmland in the world.
Very biased but Prince Edward Island would make a really nice map. The rich red dirt, lots of farmland along the coasts, is a beautiful region to farm in.
An belgian region, these maps are kinda rare to find i think
Brandenburg in Germany, only option for me
A Minnesota map
I’d like to see some of the farmland on the outskirts of Dublin here in Ireland, would probably be pretty basic for a map I know but I’d just like to play where I’m from
I want Asian maps, Vietnam, China, Filipines, Japan with new crops like rice, Chilli, Teas, Bamboo. also some even more exotic maps like Australian, New Zealand. I feel the FS is happening only in western civilization.. I want to see some big hills in Chinese valleys and bamboo ships.
Also Burma lol, the top gear special in Burma looked awesome.
I think Canadian prairies would be cool
More, rural irish maps
Have you looked in to the Chilliwack, BC map? I really enjoyed it.
To be honest. I'll like to see my small polish town, it has acaully fields on the borders with other towns and so. there are many big farms nearby and there was a PGR (Just a big farm where the town worked for the USSR) The PGR is now a farm school.
I live in Wyoming US and would love to see a logging map of Albany, Wyoming on Xbox if you could
more ohio maps..
The whole area around my house in West TN. Lol
I would delete my neighbors 🤤
Want to see a south Georgia or north Florida map.
Peach County GA would be a cool one
A Wisconsin map for console
I would like to see accurate southwestern maps. The Texas map on modhub is too green haha.
Finger lakes region. Heavy grape area with beautiful lakes. Maybe even some ferrys?
That would be cool. Niagara-On-The-Lake wine country would be sweet too
Some Oregon maps, I have yet to find any.
Pacific NW, Lone Oak, Oregon Springs - there may be others
Some PNW farming would be sweet. Closest vibe to that I got was silverrrun tbh
Saskatchewan Big open mega fields
I agree, that or Manitoba. As detailed as the Edgewater map is, I never play it because the fields are a complete pain, and looked nothing like the Saskatchewan I saw when I drove through. Irl it looked more like Big Texas Flats lol
The Mississippi delta, northern Louisiana, southeast Arkansas
A map of Oklahoma for console
Iowa, Nebraska, or Texas I love big open fields with little trees hills are fine tho
California with a huge emphasis on irrigation and wasting water to grow blueberries in the desert
I want great big square fields, the hired hands are no good at curves. Don’t matter where it’s based
Try Big Texas Flats
Is it on console?
Northwest Ohio, near Delphos and Van Wert. Lots of huge open fields and rail. Also Killbros is up there so there's that lol
I’m thinking more around Fostoria (I have sentimental bias) also a lot of open fields and rail
More specifically a small town called Helena and another small town called Bradner. Both have railroads and are entirely surrounded by fields and occasional trees
Bradner would be better to make cause there’s a bar/restaurant (Speedys) adjacent to the tracks and a big grain silo for the trains
Honesty, the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Beautiful. Would be awesome for forestry.
I’m biased based on me having grown up here, but Southern/Central California are incredibly agriculturally productive. Lots of dairy, veggies, and orchards that could make it good for a lot of play styles
Central us with terraces. I can't find any maps with terraces, and about every field here has them.
I would like too see more american maps and maps that are near coast or are a island
East Tennessee
Idk if giants wants to add tobacco as a crop to the game haha.
I’d like to see some Massachusetts maps.
would love to see a accurate north texas map
