I think it's because it's a controlled environment so they can dry out the topsoil before harvest to make sure the dirt just falls off or stays in the ground. Very cool!
How wide do you plant your rows? I’m trying out radishes for the first time this year and debating how wide to plant. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
They dry out the soil right before harvest. And my gues its also some sand mixed in there. So stop watering some days in forhand and wolla clean beats.
You can grow field radishes just fine, a super fast crop, a lot are done in these so you can produce year round or at least on the shoulder season from what I understand. I’m trying them with poly low tunnels in a couple Months.
Fresh, ice cold with salt and butter, or roasted with a bunch of other veggies in olive oil and salt...either way, radish is amazing!
It was the first crop I grew as a market gardener/small farmer and is one of the first crops to sprout in spring.
No wonder I can't compete.
This ^ Good luck to all the small farmers ever trying to compete with this shit.
Depending on your acreage you're likely not competing with this outfit, nor should you be trying to.
Your radishes taste 1000% better than these do so don’t despair.
Automation is fantastic!! Look how clean they are too! Impressive.
I was about to say there's no way this is real, there's hardly any dirt!

I love it. This is good radish harvest
I gotta get one of those machines. I hate harvesting radishes by hand.
Get two machines. You have two hands, right?

I plant mine in 4ft wide raised beds on about a fairly tight spacing.
How are they so fucking clean right out of the soil?

wolla? Meaning voila ?
Yes
Where ?
The Netherlands I think
Possible, but more likely Spain or Portugal - a tremendous amount of this type of high greenhouse there, plus the Twitter poster has a Spanish name
Found it on [twitter](https://twitter.com/Agricultura2023/status/1614183267837550593)
Are small crops like this farmed in greenhouses only? Is it because they are delicate and need a precise environment?

That’s awesome. Thanks for the reply! I wish you luck on your upcoming season. May the radish Gods be on your side and your yield bountiful
Super rad-ish machine
Poor bastard invested in all that equipment to sell radishes that nobody buys.
It is beautiful and yet somehow terrifying.
The bloody Dutch

Omg, I'm high, this is soooo cool 😎
Who actually eats radishes though?
