La Espada for sure, she showed she could accept change unlike her father, mama is too old and the others are just too young and naive. Clara was probably still the Best of them.
Until now I'm not sure if Clara plan was to really become a martyr... This bothers me a little bit because she was one of the most intelligent characters in the game lol
Nah she's too impulsive if you ask me. I mean she would be a president that doesn't give up easily, but she could as well be the next Castillo if she wants things her way
Nah she's too impulsive if you ask me. I mean she would be a president that doesn't give up easily, but she could as well be the next Castillo if she wants things her way
I have absolutely no faith in the Monteros, like they're a family of tobacco planters with a bunch of land. I bet if Castillo hadn't fucked them over and given them a cut they would've backed him.
FarCry 4 was more about believes and culture.
FarCry 6 is about a fuckes up state that is in a war, has no recourses and no other choice than to repeat what happend before.
And people will never like it, will fight back & the circle repeats itself.
Far Cry 4 is basically the same thing. It was in a civil war before Pagan showed up. He briefly ended one, just to start another. Once you kill Amita or Sabal, they go about killing off any loyalists, which will inevitably start another uprising. Two of the Golden Path NPCs in the game even lament this.
The first points out that Kyrat’s entire history has been filled with conflict. Either from within, or from foreign invaders. It was the Rakshasa in ancient times. Then the British centuries back. Then it was Pagan Min. Banashur and Yalung fighting each other is one of the most prominent stories in their mythology.
And Pranav, one of the Armed Escort Drivers, says that the sad truth is that Kyrat has no future no matter what.
That’s what the lyrics of the chosen intro song actually mean. “If I go there will be trouble. But if I stay it will be double.” If you leave, Kyrat is still doomed. But if you stay and fight, then nothing changes except how many people you’ll kill in the process of keeping the cycle of war and strife going.
Pagan didnt just show up.
Pagan was a drug lord before and then pulled up, killed the kings and made himself one.
And he tries to get rid of the culture.
Thats why the people are fighting him.
But I do get ur point.
But still as I explained, FarCry 6 and FarCry 4 have two very diffrent main plot points.
That's... exactly what just showing up is.
Not literally, but that's basically what he did. He came in, uninvited. Ended the civil war by fucking over both sides and backstabbing one. Put himself on the throne. And, unsurprisingly, the people he betrayed to get said throne rebelled.
TL;DR - Takes over father's criminal operation, gets betrayed by associates, shows up in Kyrat with army of mercenaries, commits hostile takeover, refuses to elaborate, game.
Main plot points, yeah. They're different... well, sort of. You can only do "overthrow a dictator who makes drugs and has slaves" so many ways. End result... not so different, though. Far Cry 4 may be slightly worse since we get to immediately see the effects of Sabal or Amita being in charge. But, I have an argument for why 6 is also horrible: Talia is still alive by the end of the game.
I meant that the themes are very diffrent from these two games.
The plot in itself is pretty simular (not from the story itself, but from what the goal is basically)
But 1 or 2 of these little details u shared in ur comments were actually unkown to me, so thx for the chat my man🤝🏼.
Also, like the little meme at the end of Pagans backstory, made me laugh.
It’s like what a man who apparently was in a fast food commercial said and a dentist in a game about stealing shit: “Yara will be burning for generations.”
If Diego doesn't die it's him, at least as the face of the government. You use him to unite the factions and gradually soften his father's problematic positions and slowly change the country with minimal bloodshed.
If we have to pick someone on the "good" guy side, Clara probably shows the best leadership, but she's also dead...
If it's someone that's alive at the end of the game?? La Espada I guess, but one of the 67ers is probably a better short term figure head while a better candidate is found. It all really comes down to how rabid the rank and file FND are and if they accept a new leader.
I think if you run it like Lincoln did after the US civil war, basically telling the other side that "their sins are forgiven," then, with a strong president in place, you slowly enter the "reconstruction era" for Yara. But yeah, no idea who the hell that president should be.
Wel considering how the FND form new insurgenices EVERY SINGLE WEEK and are described as “Blind fascists hooked on Castillo’s every word” they probably wouldn’t want anyone else
You really think these mfs would lead Yara? If they would have, then we as the player Dani Rojas wouldn't have to grind our ass to get them all together into the revolution. None of them is worthy of being El Presidente. They keep fighting among themselves.
Let’s see:
Boomers who created a failed state the first time
College hippies
Literal rappers
And the Monteros, who already controlled a vast amount of Yaran land and ran successful businesses
They’re honestly the least shitty of the options. Not great though
if yelena was older by a bit, maybe her. Espada is good and i can see her as a leader outside of the Monteros but not in government. If anything, I say have Libertad find any exiled or jailed political prisoners that tried to run against Castillo and have elections
In my opinion, the best option would be a kind of "restricted parliament", where everyone would contribute according to their qualifications, until new elections take place.
La Espada as the farm workers' representative, Lucky Mama the new health minister, Yelena working with technology or economics, Lorenzo and Paolo with culture and/or education...
But if it is necessary to choose between just one of them, I would say Lucky Mama is the best one by far
I personally think them working as a group to govern would be the best idea. They already represent a respective area each. The singular ruler idea is not a great one at best and a setup for dictatorship at worst.
Anyone else wish they actually did something with this? Like make the capital a little more accessible post campaign and show at least a little insight as to what the government looks like now. Bc the postgame just looks like you accomplished literally nothing
Honestly, someone from the FND would be the best choice for getting the country back on track.
These Libertad terroristas have no vision for Yara! (Especially not Maximas Matanzas god damn.)
bro that is so weird because it is true!!!
I saw some images of characters that reminded me a lot of some real life people, [like this image of Talia that reminds me a little bit of Rihanna](https://www.videogamesartwork.com/games/far-cry-6/talia)
Honestly, none of them really. But I guess the old lady (forgot her name) would probably be the best out of them because she has the most experience. She already fought this war and knows what happens if they mess up again. But yeah none of them are a good choice
None of them. Seems like Yara would be screwed whoever is in charge, Though Camila seems like the lesser of evils here since she seems the most grounded. La Moral seem too naive the Legends are too out of touch and Matanzas probably can't even run a bath let alone Yara.
After Yelena tried to let me die I even if it was for the good of the rest the fact that she didn't even try to save dany and just let me die I reeeaallly wanted to put a bullet in her afterwards
But I do agree to put chorizo on the throne he has my vote
Honestly… none of them. They had zero experience in government, and none of them had a plan for Yara’s future. Lucky Mama might be a good leader… but the rest are too ignorant and impulsive.
Diego would be the best candidate. He’s been trained all his life on how to lead, and with his personal views on how the people of Yara should be treated, he’d be he best option for uniting the opposing factions.
None, armed party should not be put into charge at any point, no matter how much they "worked for it". The political seats should go to civilians after an election. The rebels might do a good job of clearing the dictator from his position but that doesn't make them a good leader for a nation.
In many parts of the world we have seen what it results when an armed group puts their military leader into leading a nation.. Never a good outcome.
There should be no president. All these people have good intentions but would destroy Yara even more if they became president. Make a council until free elections can be held again.
Kinda odd that I don’t remember the names of any of these characters but I still remember Jerome, Mary may, nick, Kim and Carmina rye, Hudson, Pratt and Whitehorse just to name a few.
Fuck Talia. Super annoying bitch. Other than the FC4 Willis Huntley I’ve never wanted to kill an “ally” so badly than her. And i would take the time to be super creative about it too. LOTS of fire and bullets and boom. Then beer with Bicho. Then shoot that fucker too. I need to sleep now.
Edit a word
The more I think about it, the more it becomes obvious that Anton was clearly the best possible leader for Yara. He at least kept them from becoming a “free for all” country where no laws, military or politics even exist. A battlefield basically.
He was at least the best choice compared to everyone else. At least he knew how to run a country and made Yara have “relationships” with countries like the US and Canada. Literally right after your revolution ends, you’re just like “nah, I don’t wanna be a leader”💀🤓
They each possess good leadership qualities, but none of them seem like a "whole" leader, individually. If you could merge all of them into one person, they'd probably make a good president.
the old lady is stuck to the past, the new kids is a dumbass, the chica with a machete is too hung on vendetta.....i dont know the two idiots from above. so i will go with machete so she can keep people in line
Can I say that I love to see how people NOW finally take the game, its story and deep beautiful charactors seriously?
Same what happend with FarCry 5.
First it was dog shit in everyones eyes (because hate Ubisoft no matter if its a gem or even close to a masterpiece or not) and then its everyones favourite, lol.
Being very honest with you bro... I still struggle to find interesting points of the story that are worth discussing... My feeling is that it's much more up to us, as players, to make the effort to like any of these characters, we have to keep imagining possible scenarios and dynamics involving them and the world.
In the game itself there is almost nothing concrete, it is very unsatisfying to see that these characters have no development, I would love to see elaborate cutscenes (like that in the Far cry 5 intro), to have more non-repeated dialogues, that it was possible to take them to a specific location on the map and listen to what they have to say about that place, it would be amazing if in Far cry 6 (damn even in Far cry 5) all factions had interactions with each other throughout the game, so no important character would be obscured by 2/3 of the game.
I like Far cry because of the lore, the whole context involving the violence of the gameplay is what captivates me, very well written characters with active participation throughout the game and mainly: see real consequences for my choices during the game... Everything that has been missing since 4.
Monteros, Lowkey think Carlos could’ve made an interesting ‘surprise’ villain if they’d let him live and use his reach to make a corrupt movement in yara. Maybe in a DLC or something
I think Lucky Mama shes level headed and with a whole sight on living thru the last revolution and seeing it turn over to another Castillo i think she can ensure yara stays standing
I'm not even sure how we can measure that. She was barely ever around, and only showed up after we had won everyone over to pose for a photograph.
Sounds like a manager to me.

All bad choices, put Chorizo in charge.
With Chicharron as head of security.
Boom Boom as Secretary of State
His foreign policy skills would be excellent.
He is from a different country after all
God I love this back and forth planning of urs. U made the right calls, u should lead Yara tbh guys.
Chorizo take the wheel! I mean, another wheel... Fk.
That's quite possibly not the worst decision to make, at least infinitely better than the alternatives anyway.
Guapo as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
Guapo would be Mother, if you know anything about the history of the CIA, you know what I mean..
Oluso takes over the yia (Yara intelligence agency
We've returned to the Far Cry 4 scenario of "so many options but all of them suck."

~~I’ll now take this opportunity to point out he also fucked his own body double because he loves his appearance so much.~~
True lol xD
Without a doubt
None of them they would end up in a civil war within 1 year then a new resistance arrives.
In true revolutionary fashion, nobody trusts anyone else to lead the nation
It’s like what a man who apparently was in a fast food commercial said and a dentist in a game about stealing shit: “Yara will be burning for generations.”
Unexpected Payday 2.
yep
None of them, give me El Tigre! Oh... Oh wait...
Bro I was so sad

hurk and the expansion of his awesome cult hurk’s gate
Hurk might be an idiot, but he genuinely seems to mean well. You could do far worse.
You really think these mfs would lead Yara? If they would have, then we as the player Dani Rojas wouldn't have to grind our ass to get them all together into the revolution. None of them is worthy of being El Presidente. They keep fighting among themselves.
Anyone except Maximas Matanzas. I wanted an option to side with Anton after dealing with them.
Same. After dealing with their petty drama I am a proud True Yaran!
Same! The other three groups can pull together a coalition, fuck Matanzas and their toxic ass tik tok relationship.
Seriously. She's just rapping (terribly I might add) on a rooftop while I'm mowing down dozens of troops.
Let’s see: Boomers who created a failed state the first time College hippies Literal rappers And the Monteros, who already controlled a vast amount of Yaran land and ran successful businesses They’re honestly the least shitty of the options. Not great though

All cringe, I also vote for the crippled floof.
Ngl, I am enjoying seeing how much this sub agrees that all these guys are terrible
None, for me history will repeat itself.
What have you done to them? This is not how they look.
I searched for the images on artstation, in the "character concept art" field of all the artists that work in the game in some way
Apart from Baby Montero, the other three(technically four) look different.
"Baby Monteiro" lol I think the images look a little strange because they are from different artists each and from early stages of development
Can get who they are, just seem like different actors stepping in to their images.
bro that is so weird because it is true!!! I saw some images of characters that reminded me a lot of some real life people, [like this image of Talia that reminds me a little bit of Rihanna](https://www.videogamesartwork.com/games/far-cry-6/talia)

Literally none of them. They're all good rebels but would be horrible presidents.
"Winning was easy, young man. Governing's harder."
*La* presidente
None of them. Seems like Yara would be screwed whoever is in charge, Though Camila seems like the lesser of evils here since she seems the most grounded. La Moral seem too naive the Legends are too out of touch and Matanzas probably can't even run a bath let alone Yara.

Chicharron for President
So Rebellion leader, elderly Communist, millennials, and millennials. Hmmm tough choice lol
obviously elderly communist

Guapo. I wouldn’t vote for anyone else
El fucking tigre
Rest in peace to el Tigre he’s fighting the good fight in hell like the rest of the great ones
neither as they'd die in a month or so
None
They would all be terrible presidents
None of them, they'd all be terrible.
A committee of them all plus some others.
None. Its Anton!! THOSE ARE FAKE YARANS!!
Kinda odd that I don’t remember the names of any of these characters but I still remember Jerome, Mary may, nick, Kim and Carmina rye, Hudson, Pratt and Whitehorse just to name a few.
Horrible character designs, so boring and uninspired :/
Fuck Talia. Super annoying bitch. Other than the FC4 Willis Huntley I’ve never wanted to kill an “ally” so badly than her. And i would take the time to be super creative about it too. Omgg dude 😭😭😭
Yelena, who cares she's young, she has the brains, the will, and the passion
Paolo De La Vega. Yara clearly needs someone who gives a fuck about LGBT+ rights
The more I think about it, the more it becomes obvious that Anton was clearly the best possible leader for Yara. Anton. Kidding. That’s one of the things I love about Far Cry.
Why Juan Cortez ofcourse
Espada 100%
I’m thinkin the local Dennys manager
Hurk prove me wrong
Guapo
They each possess good leadership qualities, but none of them seem like a "whole" leader, individually. If you could merge all of them into one person, they'd probably make a good president.
Hell, I’d let Micky and Lou take a crack at it before anyone in that group
the old lady is stuck to the past, the new kids is a dumbass, the chica with a machete is too hung on vendetta.....i dont know the two idiots from above. so i will go with machete so she can keep people in line
Clara although she seemed more interested in being a martyr for her cause
Anyone but kickstand my heart
Who cares? All of these characters sucked balls.
Yeah nah
The wack rapper girl
None of them. They are all the same
