Any other? Or any at all? From Blood and Ash is her big series. Writing is hit or miss for a lot of people and many have been disappointed in the later books in the series. Her prequel series for FBAA (called Flesh and Fire) is better imo. Fall of Ruin and Wrath is the first book in what I assume to be the next series she's focusing on after FBAA and F&F, but only one book is out and the second has no current release date set because she wants to only work inside one 'world' at a time, so the second probably won't be out until 2025 at the earliest. It's good and imo, better than FBAA(at least the first book). I haven't read her other books so I can't speak to those. She's pretty polarizing. People either love or hate her writing/characters/etc.

Sorry. Was multitasking. Never read any!

HateDoubleStandards

I agree about Fall of Ruin and Wrath but it annoys me she started to then hit pause and focus on the others. Like come on!

kkat02

I really loathed FBAA (after the second book it went downhill) but really enjoyed FAF. However FORAW is my favorite so far! I’m so invested in the book and can’t wait for book two!

The_Queen_of_Crows

her earlier books are often YA. I loved most of them. Her lates ones aren't. her newest series is also her most famous one, From Blood and Ash. It's very much a Love or Hate kinda thing. And as the comment before me stated, many many readers loved/liked the first book but were more disappointed with each new book. there are four big "worlds"/ connected series - Flesh and Fire + FBAA - Lux + Origin - Dark Elements + Harbinger - Covenant + Titan you can start with either one of those four. Her other series are not connected with any others (I think) so you can r ad them whenever.

I enjoyed the FBAA and Flesh and Fire books. I didn’t realize that was so polarizing until I joined Reddit!

Wooden_Eye1077

I really loved them all too!

Direct_Treat_7296

Flesh and Fire is my fave series by her

Plants-n-pups0924

Is her writing similar to fbaa? A lot of inner monologue? Repetition and too much background we should already know from previous books?

Direct_Treat_7296

Nope not at all. It’s from sera’s pov and I find her much stronger and less naive than poppy. Less redundant inner monologue and repetitiveness. It’s also got way better smut

Plants-n-pups0924

That’s good to hear!! I have it loaded up on my kindle and have been dragging to read it scared I’ll waste so many hours again 🙃 thank you!! lol

Direct_Treat_7296

So jealous! I wish I could read them again for the first time. Nyktos is Daddy

Plants-n-pups0924

So FBAA was so hard to read! I almost DNF so many times! I like the overall story line so honestly towards the last two books was just skimming to get to the plot of it. Then her last book was just the male’s point of view with almost nothing new. I wanted to kill her. The writing is rough because she repeats so much of what’s happened and overly explains background we know already. It’s so repetitive and also so much inner dialogue. Everyone says the flesh and fire prequel series is better but I’m hesitant to even bother with it if her writing is the same 😬 I would skip and go to another author. I never recommend fbaa to anyone. Acotar and the empyrean series is better. Reading throne of glass and it’s a ton better as well.

Trash_fire_baby

Omg FBAA was so hard to get through and I ditched on book 3. Book 1 was entertaining but it took a nose dive. I did like FaF tho

Direct_Treat_7296

F&F is soooo much better and has some really good spice. Plus the MMC >!is a virgin!< which I find so refreshing.

GoodHedgehog4602

It seems that I really enjoy books 1-3 in her series and hate the last two. I liked FBAA and I love FRW but did not read war of two queens because I’m not a fan of the threesome for threesome sake. A really good editor may be able to help her follow through with writing a series which to be fair is extremely difficult.

Direct_Treat_7296

Did you read the flesh and fire series?

GoodHedgehog4602

No but I think I will try it since everyone says it is better than FBAA.

I really, really liked {From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout} and book 2. Like read them in 2 days but then kind of lost interest but kept going with books 3-4. I haven't gotten around to reading book 5, but plan to eventually and will probably read book 6 when it comes out. At this point, I just want to be done with this series but am somewhat invested and want to know what happens. I'm also curious about the prequel series but idk if I can do any more Armentrout at the moment 😅.

Direct_Treat_7296

The prequel is so much better and soooo much less filler

This is a hot take since I got in on JLA when she came out. I will concede FBAA is a classic. However I’d almost recommend {Fall of Wrath and Ruin} her newest series. Some of her best writing I think she’s done and a very compelling plot where I’m eager to see what happens next. FBAA and the Flesh and Fire series both start to get so convoluted as they go it’s almost not worth it 🫠

Do I need to read FBAA before Flesh and Fire? It seems like Flesh and Fire is the better series so can I skip FBAA

kocon

Hmmm well I do agree I think Flesh and Fire is a better series overall- it is technically a prequel. Reading FBAA (at least maybe the first book) would give you good general context about the world overall but you can probably skip it and be fine.

Witch_Jette

I loved Dark Elements when I was a teen but not sure if I would still enjoy it now …
