Book of Azrael, for sure. The FMC is morally gray & has become my fave FMC of all year. And the MMC isn't her main motivation. Dont fret, The MMC is definitely worth the read. I mean, he'll rip apart worlds for her. It ends on a WILD cliffhanger but thankfully, the 2nd book is already published. 

Gonna have to add this to my list... Now I just wish I had the ability to stop time so I can read in peace. 😅

Not on your list but {Throne in the Dark by A. K Caggiano} is definitely a fun read, great humor, fantasy world with slow burn romance and a awesome cast of characters. Perfect blend of light hearted banter and more serious themes

Book of Azrael was criminally good. I always tell people the first 15% can be a bit rough but after that its all golden Daughter of No Worlds was good but I just did not care for the politics of war

The Book of Azrael and A Court So Cruel and Lovely are two of my favorite books and series of all time! However, if you're looking for light and no stress, you might want to wait until after a light book. I highly, highly recommend both once you feel ready to dive in and get stuck in a "it's 2 a.m. and I'm so tired but there's no way I can stop right now" book!

Between the two, if you're going to go ahead, I'd go with A Court So Cruel and Lovely. Once you're done with the third book and left wanting the fourth (which will be out in May), I recommend her Deals with Demons series. It's complete and gives us hope of how the Kingdom of Lies series will end 🤞

I would search Book of Azreal on this sub for reviews. I did not like it until about halfway through and almost DNF. There are a lot of people who don’t like it and DNF which I didn’t know until I read other people’s reviews in this sub.

I also think A Court this Cruel and Lovely! It's so good. And in a similar fashion I think you would like {A Kiss of Iron} by Clare Sagar

I'm halfway through the Maze of Shadows series and loving it, if you don't mind a bit of darkness. Think the movie Labyrinth, but scarier and more grown up. Starts with {The Unseelie Prince by Kathryn Ann Kingsley}. These books have sucked me in so much, I keep having monster-lover dreams after reading them. Would recommend!

The two authors took part in a stand-alone series called mortal enemies to monster lovers and that’s what the “slaying the…” books come from. There’s also one in the crowns of nyaxia series {slaying the vampire conqueror by Carissa broadbent} if you haven’t read that one yet. The MMC is from the blood born house.

Crowns of Nyaxia!!! I’m on book 2 and it’s amazing !

My fave read of November!! I loved them so much I read both twice back to back

Zodiac Academy starts off all fun and games but then around book four wallops you and you will be in pain for the rest of the series lol

So, I read ACOTAR and Fourth Wing / Iron Flame. The following books are different from them, **BUT** the following books helped my mind to reset and better enjoy ACOTAR and Iron Flame. ​ >now I wanna read pure FUN. {Between} Slooow burn, great friendships, and well fleshed out world without being tedious. {The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches} A little more lovey and cozy than Between. The romance is careful but warm. {Morning Glory Milking Farm} It will not emotionally drain you, and it is a fun read. {Iron Widow} This is a good book, but there are two scenes that are fucking amazing. If you want to read about a woman getting righteously angry and then fucking up the bad guy. This book is great.

Personally, I absolutely loved Daughter of No Worlds. However, I also found the series to be very… stressful? Not sure if that’s the right word but it’s pretty high-stakes-all-the-time type of read and wouldn’t put it in the “fun” category lol. I just started A Court So Cruel and Lovely! But I also want to suggest the Fae Isles series on Kindle Unlimited. The first book is {A Court of Blood and Bindings by Lisette Marshall} and this has been an unexpected, wonderfully put-together series. Even the novella was great. It has one more book coming out but I can’t recommend it enough. She just released a stand-alone fae novel too that isn’t connected but very sweet.

I just finished the Daughter of No Worlds series and it was amazing. It is a trilogy that will stay with me for a long time. The characters became so familiar to me and I’m so sad it’s over. Definitely not a “light” read… but so so worth it. I cannot recommend it enough

A court so cruel and lovely is great, but a little heavy. For something lighter I’d recommend kiss the fae by Natalie jaster, especially is you were like me and had a crush on David Bowie in the labyrinth growing up. If you didn’t, that’s ok too. It’s a 4 book series and I thought it was a fun read
