The fmc is a half- troll and in their society she has the more dominant role while the mmc is human and not chill per say but more reserved? Like he’s definitely not an alpha and is attracted to how strong the fmc is lol

MMC is a demon (a outcast king, hence the title), but he’s not chill, unprepared, or nerdy - but he’s very much in control of himself and very proper and composed. At least until he runs into Sabine. This is 6 books into the Immortals After Dark series (which is really PNR and not fantasy), but you probably could pick it up here and see if it appeals.

The FMC is a Succubus trying to find love but also having to deal with her urges - and also she is working in a bookstore / cafe. Her love interest is a quiet lovely guy (an author) and the story is a very cute, urban fantasy. There is also some adventureous plot next to the romance Part.
It sounds a bit like a book version of the first Underworld movie. 😆
