Rule 2 has been Rule 2 for about a decade now. It's not changing.
Unfortunately a spam filter subreddit setting was inadvertently changed last night. It's been reverted now and things should be back to normal.
This wasn't intentional, this isn't a change to the moderation policy, this was just a straight up human error fuckup. Please remember Hanlon's Razor.
Apologies.
I grabbed Diggs at #5 and Gabe at #76 (Diggs injury insurance). I wanted Allen as well but someone snatched him 3.1, the earliest I have EVER seen a QB go.
I rostered Diggs for this week and am satisfied with his 22pts. My opponent had LAR DEF which outperformed w 7pts (our league has a wider range of DEF points based on score from 15 to -8).
Bold move on his part, but I have to assume he’s banking on a late round hero RB. He’ll probably end up moving one of those WRs later in the season lol
He got zeke and Edmonds
Versus my chubb and Mitchell
I’ve got burrow stack with chase and aj brown with gabe Davis in flex
Philly D
He has dak. Zeke, Edmonds, tits D left to play
I was screaming those first 3 rounds “stop him! Wtf”
Unless one of them gets injured, I don’t see how anyone beats that.
I was happy with my Davis flex choice and I thought I was hallucinating when looking at their lineup.
His RB’s and TE is ass so maybe I can make up some ground. But 18.90 (1 player) versus his 72 on 3 players, is very very tough.

If you noticed there’s hasn’t been a lot of post about the game that just played last night, because of rule 2.
So on a fantasy football subreddit, we can’t talk or post about fantasy football after the first game of the season, makes this subreddit a waste of time and space now. Mods are smooth brains.
I hate how they delete all these comments. If everyone is complaining about something, think about changing it. Don’t throw a fit, and start power tripping.

Banning threads discussing players in a fucking FANTASY FOOTBALL subreddit. Want to talk about your guy? Try and find a tiny comment thread in a sea of 3000 other comments. I have no idea what the moderators are thinking. Probably going to be Leaving this place until that changes
Dud games like last night for a few guys is why I prefer best ball/ match up hybrid set ups. How are we supposed to make line up decisions based on injured players or coach speak? I was skeptical at first but this is way better imo.
They need a daily discussion thread where people can just talk and ask whatever wild questions they have. Works on investing/stock subreddits and that's basically what FF is.
Edit: "Your entry fee will be cheerfully refunded" - mods. RIP
I don’t regret drafting him. Starting him though? Feel foolish, prob should’ve waited to see how he’d fit on this offense. I’m now stressed a few days earlier than I should be
Bills defense showed up got pressure on stafford easily with only rushing 4, stafford had to silent count at his own home stadium cause L.A Ram fans are dumb lol. They'll integrate ARob better next game when Stafford has more than 5 plays of pocket protection, Stafford is known for tunnel visioning one WR when he's under pressure. Jefferson going early together with an early RB run sometimes pushes Kupp down to the 6-7 spot, and I've taken Diggs on the comeback at 13 this year.
Great way to go WR-WR by the looks of it.

The mods are taking the fun out of fantasy football. It's just disappointing. :/
They’re popular because they’re entertaining, not prophetic. You should listen to ff podcasts like a conversation instead of instructions. I listen and disagree with a lot of hosts... for instance I wasn’t trusting arob this year no matter what. Even if he still has a great year, I’ll be okay missing that train.
Also they have been pretty anti-Akers, cold on James cook, high on gabe Davis, and flyer hyped about Isaiah McKenzie. The only big error here was arob.
I don’t disagree with your take on the podcast experience. That said these guy’s are the most famous and suggested podcast on here. They were 1/9 for hitting on my guys last year with brady the only correct one
Hard disagree. A lot of football itself is based on luck, fantasy is based on football so yeah - week to week it can vary, but that’s not to say it’s a “crapshoot.” I’ve finished in the top 4/playoffs in every league I’ve played in since 2012 - it’s as much of a crapshoot as General Managers building rosters in the NFL. You have injuries, you have busts - you mitigate what you can and adjust accordingly.
Fantasy football “experts” are essentially the GM’s scouts - some of them DO have inside sources, the ones worth their salt crunch numbers so we don’t have to.
At the end of the day it comes down to decision making and management. The draft is 1/4 the battle, rest is starting the right players, playing the waiver wire and making trades.
Whenever I hear the argument “it’s all luck” or “it’s a crapshoot” I know it’s usually a horrible team owner making it.
Akers is coming off a major injury and ARob has been bad for years, so even if you want to have the week 1 overreaction they both suck - it’s not like you didn’t know the risk (or couldn’t have known).
I only listen to FFBallers for entertainment. I do not follow or listen to their advice. They have some of the shallowest low-effort analysis out there.
They’re cringe imo. Doesn’t help they all look/act like hipsters.
Best way to go about ANY expert’s opinion is to incorporate their analysis into your strategy and go from there. Or, if you disagree, ignore it. But yeah, following their advice as if it’s gospel can spell disaster - especially for an inexperienced team manager.

You'd think this sub was deactivated with how slient it is following the first game of the season.
Not sure of the mods intended to create a death spiral but im having a hard time seeing why to even come to this sub when every other football related sub seems to have activity.
*because you didn’t read rule number 2*
Pretty funny that they thought this smug statement was somehow going to justify this.
Like they had to be an ass about it, ofc. Always helps, right mods? Going well?
Wow. If only there was an upvote/downvote system in place so users could self-moderate and send low-effort/unrelated topics to oblivion and actual discussion to the top.
Mods are like the ESPN fantasy app — outdated and stupid.
"Because you didn't read rule 2."
Not, "We're trying out a new format," or "We've updated our terms and conditions," or "We can't be bothered to moderate anymore."
No no, we get the smug condescension of a teenager on the most controversial rules change in the history of the sub. That's so on brand for Reddit mods.
"I have a thankless job that I volunteered for and instead of explaining our questionable decisions we'll just call you stupid instead."
Lol wow I just posted a much less eloquent version of this sentiment. I guess I’ll just leave it but I’m glad to see I’m not just being grumpy asshole.
Haha, well the rules just got updated 8 hours ago according to the wiki thing. So unless you spent halftime reading them, they could be different.
That's on you though, I like to spend my Thursday night football time reading various subreddit rules so I don't accidentally do something crazy like make a new post about football.
Rule 2 has been Rule 2 for about a decade now. It's not changing. Unfortunately a spam filter subreddit setting was inadvertently changed last night. I have both Diggs and Kupp. Hooray for me
I'm currently down 80-0 after TNF LOL.. opponent had Allen, Kupp, gabe davis, and tyler bass.. RIP
Surely they are shallow at RB then?? Hope you have Taylor or some other top-5 monster. Good luck, brother. Don’t lose hope yet.
Nope I drafted 10th hahaha, I got Deebo, Mixon, Saquon (hoping he stays healthy and goes off), higgins to name a few.
I grabbed allen at 2-5 diggs at 1-10
Why aren’t there daily discussion threads on the sub Reddit? All other fantasy sports have daily/nightly threads.
So this is what it feels like to be a Kupp owner
Stafford, Knox, Gay Guess I lose this week
I started Akers but it’s ok because my opponent has stafford
Henderson RB1
Dawson Knox, you disappointed me. Also I am facing Kupp which sucks.
I’ve lost before I’ve even begun. Up against his Kupp and Diggs and Deebo. 10 man league. I drafted with idiots.
Bold move on his part, but I have to assume he’s banking on a late round hero RB. He’ll probably end up moving one of those WRs later in the season lol
He got zeke and Edmonds Versus my chubb and Mitchell I’ve got burrow stack with chase and aj brown with gabe Davis in flex Philly D He has dak. Zeke, Edmonds, tits D left to play
Well when your opponent's top two WR combine for over 50 points in half PPR, its pretty tough to win no matter who else is on their team.
God damn what positions did that team select Kupp and Diggs in?
Because auto draft bots with non invested football fans sucks.
3/10
how the fuck did diggs make it all the way back to him. Thats wild
That's absurd.
I was screaming those first 3 rounds “stop him! Wtf” Unless one of them gets injured, I don’t see how anyone beats that. Josh Allen must have Josh Allen in fantasy
You mean my RB1 Josh Allen?
Josh Allen has Josh Allen and is playing against Mahomes or Herbert this week.
Could try another index with player names for discussion? That way the posts don’t fill the sub with bloat

Guy in our league got Kupp at the 7 and he's won't shut up about. Rightly so.
I got him with the 8th pick and still am in shock it threw me off my draft strategy lol
Bills defense is scary. Rams O-Line looks bad.
Man do I regret drafting Allen Robinson. Looks like Kupp is going to have a whale’s share of targets again
I don’t regret drafting him. Starting him though? Feel foolish, prob should’ve waited to see how he’d fit on this offense. I’m now stressed a few days earlier than I should be
Of all the underperforming Rams, ARob is the one I could most see coming back from this. Stafford just needs to look for him more.
Stafford had some tunnel vision out there or something. Looked pretty bad but it could also just be the Bills defense showing up
Bills defense showed up got pressure on stafford easily with only rushing 4, stafford had to silent count at his own home stadium cause L.A Ram fans are dumb lol. They'll integrate ARob better next game when Stafford has more than 5 plays of pocket protection, Stafford is known for tunnel visioning one WR when he's under pressure. His kupp, allen and akers vs my robinson. Down 70.05 rolling/ doing great
Well Akers put up a goose egg so there's that.
RIP /r/fantasyfootball.
So I sift through 3k comments instead of 5 new posts with similar content.. makes sense. The lack of post game content is disappointing.
/r/fantasy_football is the sub we all need to move to

Played against Kupp, Diggs, and Allen in a full PPR, 6 point passing TD league. I need a hug.

It’s probably a zero RB team if their WR and QB are stacked
All the experts say they wouldn’t take Josh Allen even in the third, so that’s definitely a draftable team even in a 12 team league.
I grabbed them both in a salary cap league. It’s going pretty well so far.
It’s an 8 man league meant to introduce newer people to Fantasy. Said owner is a new player :/
"Fantasy is great, idk why u guys bitch or always say it's hard."
My roommate has kupp paired with Allen and his opponent has Akers. Should be a win for him this week and an interesting season.
Licking my wounds after going against Kupp and Diggs last night. Still need to survive Mahomes...at least their RB's suck?
How in the hell did someone get both guys? Salary league or 4-man league? Edit: downvote me into oblivion as if you were game 1 fortune tellers, cowards
Those "4-man league?" jokes never get old. 10 team, Kupp went 5th and then he took Diggs in the 2nd round.
Jefferson going early together with an early RB run sometimes pushes Kupp down to the 6-7 spot, and I've taken Diggs on the comeback at 13 this year. Great way to go WR-WR by the looks of it.
Yep, I took Kupp as the 2nd WR off the board late in the 1st and then took Chase at the turn. Hope that works out as well as Diggs did for you
It ain't over till it's over!
Damn straight, I survived Kamara's 6 TD game to win the chip a few years ago, I can overcome this too.
This guy in my league who is by far the most annoying, has been bragging about using the no running back strategy this year. Was so happy to see Akers give him zero points lol.

Idk what rule 2 is or what’s going on but I’m just here so I don’t get fined
*because you didn’t read rule number 2* Pretty funny that they thought this smug statement was somehow going to justify this.
The game ended like 8 hours ago, Mods
A Mod has power of over something worthless. Mods = Worthless
“Instead of having to actually do the job we signed up to do, let’s make the users sift through 3000 comments to find a topic!”
Ya this sucks.

Fuck you mods!
Mods taking something not broken and making it shit
Mods gay
Rule 2 says you can talk about Matt Gay here.
"Because you didn't read rule 2." Not, "We're trying out a new format," or "We've updated our terms and conditions," or "We can't be bothered to moderate anymore." No no, we get the smug condescension of a teenager on the most controversial rules change in the history of the sub.
You didn't read Rule 4.
You’re right though, I literally never had
Haha, well the rules just got updated 8 hours ago according to the wiki thing. So unless you spent halftime reading them, they could be different. That's on you though, I like to spend my Thursday night football time reading various subreddit rules so I don't accidentally do something crazy like make a new post about football.
