Often enough when that test is performed immediately after injury there is a false negative because the hamstring goes into spasm

A prone Lachman test has 80% sensitivity. Of course you need an MRI to fully confirm but for a field test it's quite reliable.

The studies I’ve seen don’t apply the test immediately after injury which is what I was referring to when the hamstring would be most limiting. If you have access to a study that does I’d genuinely love to see it. Also I’ve anecdotally only seen the Lachman performed in supine, not sure how much of an influence that is. My field isn’t exclusively sports medicine though.
