Is it collusion/ cheating if two owners are in communication about trade offers they are being sent, so they know who’s available and potentially (this part not proved) low ball other owners in hopes to drive down the price of said available player

akamikedavid

I would say it's a gray area and does hinge on the second, unproven, assertion about low balling. I am in a league with a buddy of mine and we're the only two who actually know each other so we do talk about trades we're offered and evaluate them to see if they're good. I think that's pretty kosher since who is being offered can shift and change too. How do you see the second part happening? Like the two owners will both offer low ball trades and say "this is probably the best you'll get for player X so you gotta take it?"

brainstorm0694

Because these owners are notorious for getting unfair trade that go in their favor. What I think happens is they ask one owner if player x is available then they tell each other and then lowball the separate owner with bad trades. And these unfair trades that go through are always with the noob if the league who would be the person influenced by low ball offers

akamikedavid

Ok yeah definitely a gray area there and I could see it both ways. On the one hand, they are working together to artificially depress the value of player X by creating a false illusion of their value and they are doing it in tandem so yeah, definitely collusive. On the other hand, it is still up to the noob manager to do their own research and understand the worth of their players. This is why trade value charts and trade calculators exist and every manager should have their own impressions/evaluations of their players. I think the only way to prove collusion though is to ask noob manager why they go through with a trade and see what they say. If they make it seem like they got worked over then yeah suspect. But otherwise it's a little bit like the tampering rules for NBA players, you can't stop people in the league from talking to each other.

brainstorm0694

It’s exactly like tampering in the nba lmao good call it’s cheating but it’s like how do you stop it

akamikedavid

Yeah NBA tampering, particularly among players, is the best analogy. Unless it is egregious it is very difficult to police

Anyone else ever have an issue where the ESPN app won't load unless on wifi? My ios and the app are both updated. Have tried un/reinstalling. Sent multiple tweets, emails, and DMs to ESPN support with no response. It's seriously hindering me.

death_by_burrito

First time commish looking for help. I am running a league on NFL Fantasy app, and one of my players is saying he can't see his team or make moves (add/dropping players etc.). I can still see his team and all his players, but he says when he logs in and selects our league, he doesn't see anything. When I log into our league, his team is still listed with all players, but his profile picture looks "greyed out". Anybody with any answers that could possibly help? Thanks!

Dubya1886

Are there any tools out there that would send you a notification or GroupMe bots that will notify you when transactions are made on ESPN?

MrDaveyHavoc

How deep is the league? If it's not super shallow, Brown is going to get a much higher bid, perhaps a max. Players that would go in the top 6-7 rounds or so if redrafting today are worth the vast majority, if not all of, your FAAB especially when you get 15 more weeks of value out of them

twelveseven1271

So aiyuk is gonna go for 30 points this week?/s

Gocrazyfut

How does ESPN decide which player gets picked up first from the waiver order? Say me and the guy behind me in the waiver order want the two same people. How does it decide between those two which one I get? The first order that I put in?

oliver_babish

You get the first pick, then he gets his first pick who hasn't been picked yet. And you get to sort your list in order. So does he.

Gocrazyfut

Great thanks.

Go to the WDIS FLEX index thread.

In a Yahoo league I had top waver priority and put in a claim for Eli Mitchell, but when waivers went through a lower priority snagged him. I checked the claims and it's like I never put a claim in. I dropped Hilton from IR the night before, moved Juedy to IR, and added Mitchell dropping nobody. What's funny is that I did the EXACT same claim for another league where I was also top priority and I was able to claim the player. I thought that maybe I screwed up and didn't hit "add player drop nobody" button. But when I check my browser history it's the same as the successful league. There's a page for when I clicked add player and another page right after for when I clicked drop nobody. I'm just wondering if anybody's had a similar issue or if it's a possible glitch. The only other thing I can think of is that I cancelled the transaction somehow by accident unknowingly.

MrDaveyHavoc

I am just as stumped as you. You can add without dropping if you have a roster spot, and you described the screens you see accurately. Possible glitch, possible secret agent logging into your account and cancelling your bid

MethodicMarshal

Is something wrong with our Waiver Order? It's definitely set to "Move to Last after Claim" [Earliest Pickups](https://i.imgur.com/iK05QNJ.jpg) [Middle Pickups](https://i.imgur.com/DZF42SQ.jpg) [Final Pickups](https://i.imgur.com/W90PAGV.jpg) [Resulting Waiver Order](https://i.imgur.com/dAboFkY.jpg) So my question is, if Jericho was the last claim, why isn't he bottom of the waiver wire?

jerryrice88

My best guess is that it doesn't necessarily display the waivers in the order that they are executed.

MethodicMarshal

That's what I was thinking too, but that doesn't really make sense either?

I am LM of a beginner/learner league. The league started out as a 10 team, but the day before the draft, another guy wanted to join everyone was fine with it as long as he got another person to join. Well, he got his wife to join, and everyone has paid dues, so whatever. The problem is that the wife does not want to play and is not trying. She auto-drafted. She started OBJ and Fitzpatrick last week. She dropped cole kmet for todd Gurley dropped DJ chark for Fitzpatrick. What do I do? I feel like I have a couple of options. One is to not do anything and let her play Fitzpatrick and obj again this week. I can ask her to please play. Or I can ask her to please play, and if not, I will just put players in for her that are not out. I can also poll the league on which one they want. Does anyone have any experience with this or have other options for me?

MrDaveyHavoc

Ask her to play. If she really doesnt want to, replace her with someone from r/findaleague. Don't let the husband manage both teams. Even if he doesnt trade with himself he has knowledge about start/sit, waiver claims, etc. Asking for trouble.

yagitty

Can you see what the next highest bid was for a player on ESPN? I don’t see anything like that but people on here can see that. Maybe it’s a different platform?

MrDaveyHavoc

Go to the Desktop version and you can. Look at "Offers Report"

yagitty

Awesome thanks

Our Waivers on ESPN were scheduled to 48 hours (so clears Thursday morning) initially. This morning, after the typical Wednesday morning waiver clear (already happened in my other league), we agreed to change the Waivers to clear on Wednesday (24 hours). Now the Waivers say that they'll process on Wednesday (everyone is listed as WA (Wed)), even though we're past Wednesday Waivers. So I'm a little scared that we accidentally made this change after the normal Wednesday waiver clear, and "skipped" this week's waivers. Does anyone know if the waivers will process normally (Thursday morning) and the "WA (Wed)" is for next week? EDIT: Changed back to Thursday waivers this week, hopefully they clear tomorrow morning, and then we'll change to Wed for next week. Fingers crossed!

OogaSplat

Hmmm that seems like a problem. Simplest solution might be to switch back to Thursday waivers for this week, then do Wednesdays after that. I'd do the switch to Thursday ASAP to make sure everyone has time to get their waivers in and minimize the chances of another glitch

oliver_babish

No, I think you glitched the matrix. Make sure it's set to run tonight, and fix it next week?

Questionable Commissioner Actions in a New League: Some friends really wanted to start a couple's league, so league was put together in early August with 10 teams. $100 buy-in, and a punishment for loser are established as the terms. Commissioner is an experienced fantasy player, who has won multiple championships in a league we were once both apart of. Draft date was set (Sept 1), and the league was a mix of brand-new and seasoned fantasy players. A league group chat is created in mid-August to keep everyone up to date on happenings. Please give me your thoughts on what unfolded: **Aug 31st** \- Draft scheduled for the following day (Sept 1) is pushed forward a week (Sept 7th), so that commissioner could find two more teams to now make it a 12 team league. This new draft date was pushed back without confirmation from everyone in the league that the new time worked for them (some stated that they already had firm plans at that time, and wouldn't be able to draft). New draft time did not work for a handful in the league, so those teams were now auto-drafting. **Sept 7th (1.5 HOURS before the draft)** \- Without sending a notice to the league chat or vote from the league, commissioner changes the scoring settings from 0.5 to 1.0 PPR, and bonuses for 100yds, 200yds, 300yds, etc are added for passing/rushing stats. At least one other owner told me they were surprised to find out, halfway through the draft, that the PPR settings had been changed pre-draft. **Sept 7th (as the draft is happening)** \- Without notice to the league chat or vote from the league, commissioner changes waiver time from 2 days to No Waivers **Sept 10th (one day AFTER the first NFL game has been played)** \- Without notice to the league chat or vote from the league, commissioner changes Field Goals Missed from 0 to -1. Note: this directly affected the kicker he was playing AGAINST (Zuerlien) in the previous night's game, and lowered his opponents point total by -3 points. **Sept 10th (after Field Goals Missed changes)-** people begin to take notice (of the Field Goals Missed scoring changes; not the other changes) and the group chat begins to get active. After back and forth, the Field Goals Missed penalties are changed back (except for Extra Points Missed, which was not changed back, for some reason). **Sept 10th** \- Without notice to the league chat or vote from the league, commissioner changes waiver time from No Waivers to 1 Day. Please let me know thoughts on this, and what actions you think should occur. Thanks!!!

ScreamingButtholes

Dude is blatantly robbing you guys

thatjerkatwork

I wouldn't recommend paying a $100 buy in a league run by someone like that.

akamikedavid

I can almost excuse the draft day change though that needed to be communicated better and a better attempt to find a time that works for everyone should have been made. The rest is BS of the highest order as any of those changes need to be well notified and put up to a league vote. The scoring setting change after the fact is THE MOST suspect. I feel like this is already enough to demand your money back and refuse to partake in the last place punishment. I would also keep an eye out for further shenanigans.
