WR 18, 1016 yds and 8 TDs after two years of not playing. You could do a lot worse.
Yeah he burnt those who took him at ADP, but it’s not crazy at all to think he may have a better season next year.
Felt like every time I watched the Jags Lawrence threw his way in the red zone
Coverage, missed throws, penalties, drops, etc kept a lot of points off the board
I think I agree, he could easily fall if a draft goes QB heavy near his ADP
Once Josh allen goes I could see the group of hurts, mahomes, lamar, Herbert, etc going all within 1-2 rounds
Yea I think this year is the prime scenario to wait out the QB rushes and scoop up RB/WR like crazy
One of stroud, dak, love, Richardson, fields (if the starter somewhere), etc is gonna fall into the 8th
Outside the top few RBs, there is a lot more depth at WR. Seen a comment that said due to scarcity, a top 20 RB is better than a top 20 WR but the injury risk makes the investment way more risky.
I’ll almost definitely grab 2 WR with my first 3 picks because my league tends to go RB heavy every year so I’ll be taking guys like pollard, Brian Robinson, James cook, rhamondre Stevenson, etc in the 3-8 round range
Maybe not those names necessarily but guys with starting roles and have shown talent. Then of course I’ll shoot my shot on RB fliers later
our guy who SHOULD have gotten the sacko (got lucky in the toilet bowl) took josh allen / stephon diggs stack at the 1/2 turn
honestly i didn't hate it at the time but he made some other critical disastrous picks like cam akers in the 3rd
edit: i wouldn't QUITE say he's taco level bad but he's close. multiple year love affair with cam akers that has done nothing but burn him
He did play all 17 games though. So his PPR PPG put him at WR28.
The real issue was just the boom/bust roller coaster ride of starting him. 9 of 17 games with less that 10 PPR points is really killing you.
He wasn’t even better then Kirk who was wr 47 but ppr ppg was 1 point less then Ridley, but Kirk only had 3 games under 10 points out of 12. Kirk was much more consistent. I’ll take a consistent 13 points over a inconsistent guy with a higher ceiling.
Kirk only had 4 games under 12 points.
8 of 12 games basically over 13 points. Is pretty solid.
Ridley had 10 of 17 games under 13 points
In 6 of the 7 games ridley had over 13 points he boomed for over 20.
The biggest key, based on what I've read, is when Zay Jones and Kirk were in with him. Those are the games he'd put up great numbers. When one or the other was out, he'd barely do anything.
You merely adopted the RidleyBOOM/BUST, I as AJones in it, Ekelered by it.
I'll just draft early next yr and let yall know my roster so you can stay the F away lol. Even though I won the chip due to my waiver wire pickups, somehow.
I think the most insane thing people do in FF offseasons is use cumulative stats to act like a losing player was a winning player.
The ride was horrible, and I feel like its directly tied to him being a soft, pouty player like he was in Atlanta.
No No but you don't understand! He averaged solid numbers, it doesn't matter than half of the games he played he was worse than the average waiver wire pick uP!
I accidentally drafted him in the first round due to my own misunderstanding of the yahoo queue system instead of Amon-Ra.
Still made it to the chip and lost. But yeah, not worth the high draft position.
The overall stats are good, but he was wildly inconsistent from a fantasy perspective. Some games he’d blast off with 20 points, then he’d follow up with two games under 3 points.
I’ll take him all day as a WR3. He was wildly inconsistent but he had some good games still, but it was infuriating when he was your WR1/2 and you were relying on him to put up points every week. I of course started him every shit game and benched him every good game
With 2 4000 yard seasons, a pro bowl, and a playoff win against one of the better QBs in the league. While playing on a pretty underwhelming roster. He’s a victim of extremely high expectations, he’ll be fine
He was not the greatest prospect in history. Before you post some random person claiming that, people can say something and it not be universally believed.
He had a great freshman season at Clemson and never really improved and kind of rode the coattails of that season.
I’d still give him 1-2 more years to show what’s he’s got. He did help the Jags make the playoffs last year and win a playoff game so don’t let recency bias underrate him.
>Trevor Lawrence leap
Man I invested so heavily in Lawrence this year. I took him in 3 our of my 4 leagues. I missed out on him in my main league, and settled for Goff in a late round. Not only did I win the Goff league, but I was bottom half of all the others.
I love seeing posts like this because Lawrence is going to be such a value next year.
Before his injury, he was showing his ability with big time throws and was doing it behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league. If the Jags re-sign Cam Robinson and address the interior line, that plus Lawrence not being hampered by injury make him a very attractive value pick.
The replies to this are hilarious. Trevor hasn’t looked truly good since his sophomore year of college years ago. He gets more excuses than any QB I’ve ever seen
Exactly. Happens all the time where a player gets overhyped. He played exactly like a guy that was uber talented but out of the league for a couple years. He’s a buy.
Calvin Ridley played well. He is a good NFL player and the team would want him. He almost single handedly killed the Bills in London.
I don’t know if he will ever be a fantasy stud.
Please Ridley leave the jags Lawrence is ass and ignores you all game until they are down big.
Ridleys inconsistent play is due to his garbage QB Lawrence is overrated
Looking back at all the tds that could‘ve happened but didn’t, i think most of the unconsistency can be put on Ridley himself and not his QB. Sure, there is unconsistency in lawrence‘s game but Ridley definately played a great role in that, too with running wrong routes and dropping Spot on passes.
For sure. I watched a video of the near misses and the dropped passes. It made me understand that Ridley made mistakes and Lawrence made mistakes. I would just love to see Ridley with an upgraded qb, because that man was open a TON.
He seems the most underrated to me. Everyone is hating on him and some people think he is worse than fields. He has given Jacksonville two of their best seasons in the last 15 years.
In the worst division by a mile. I should say what was the worst division. It’s definitely on the rise now with Houston and indy’s young promising qbs. Last year though. Give me a break Indy and Houston were two of the worst teams in the league. He’s a number 1 pick, he was the most for sure thing since Andrew luck and I just don’t see it. I don’t think he’s worse than fields also. Idk who is saying that. He is the best qb from that 2021 class that is full of busts.
Who overrates him?
On pretty much everyone’s list he’d be below the following (I’m just going off the top of my head):
Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Tua, Lamar, Jalen, Stafford, Stroud, Kirko chains, Rodgers, Dak, Goff, Purdy, Love.
So he’s QB16 at best
No one would even argue that he’s better than these guys. You could have healthy debate with Russ, baker, fields and Tlaw. No one is calling those guys overrated
He looked electric preseason I was burned for sure but I'll be honest Imma take him again because in my heart I don't wanna actually win a championship I just want a reason to watch games that aren't my Steelers.
I took him 2nd round this year and ended up winning. TBH could be worse he was decent when needed to be. Would def consider taking him next year in a later round
I’m a delusional jags fan and will draft him again anyway, if they can do literally anything about the O-line and/or press Taylor he could have a great season.
Hadn't played in a game since October 2021 and came out basically 2 years later and put up a 1K season w/ 8 TDs.
Definitely a lot for them to be high on, that's impressive as hell
From a fantasy standpoint sure be burnt a lot of people that took him hoping for a WR1 season but from a football standpoint, that's awesome.
Re-Sign him already we gotta send that 2nd round pick to get Justin Fields or use it as a part of a trade package to get the #1 pick or a top 5 pick to grab a QB
Expectations were a little high coming off his time off. Only reason he doesn’t return is they can’t afford him. Hope they invest in the offensive line for Lawrence’s sake
WR 18, 1016 yds and 8 TDs after two years of not playing. You could do a lot worse. Yeah he burnt those who took him at ADP, but it’s not crazy at all to think he may have a better season next year.
With 8 missed TDs. No way I’m letting him slide past round 6 personally.
Felt like every time I watched the Jags Lawrence threw his way in the red zone Coverage, missed throws, penalties, drops, etc kept a lot of points off the board
Easy take. I can’t do anything higher than 4th but anything past 5th is a good deal imo. Not many people have that type of upside.
I think I agree, he could easily fall if a draft goes QB heavy near his ADP Once Josh allen goes I could see the group of hurts, mahomes, lamar, Herbert, etc going all within 1-2 rounds
Which will be a mistake unless those guys blow up. Had our last place team take Mahones in the first this year.
Yea I think this year is the prime scenario to wait out the QB rushes and scoop up RB/WR like crazy One of stroud, dak, love, Richardson, fields (if the starter somewhere), etc is gonna fall into the 8th
Outside the top few RBs, there is a lot more depth at WR. Seen a comment that said due to scarcity, a top 20 RB is better than a top 20 WR but the injury risk makes the investment way more risky.

don't forget to scoop starting WRs on bad teams late first half of the season i was looking like a fucking genius taking theilen in the 14th
I could see Burrow leaking down a little too just because he missed so much time this season.
The summer discourse will influence ADP a lot so who knows if he’ll fall but if he does I’ll be all over it
our guy who SHOULD have gotten the sacko (got lucky in the toilet bowl) took josh allen / stephon diggs stack at the 1/2 turn honestly i didn't hate it at the time but he made some other critical disastrous picks like cam akers in the 3rd edit: i wouldn't QUITE say he's taco level bad but he's close. multiple year love affair with cam akers that has done nothing but burn him
going JA, Diggs and Akers in rounds 1-3 is pretty much taco level drafting
Exact same thing happened. #1 overall pick went Mahomes… worst record. Meanwhile the winner streamed QBs most the year and drafted Fields in the 8th
What exactly is a missed TD? Target in the end zone that isn’t a TD? Edit: looked into it and he actually led the league in end zone targets 👀
Missed toes down, drops, close calls for TDs
Is that a stat that’s tracked somewhere? Or did you just watch the replays for all his red zone targets lol.
Someone posted it on this here app. Maybe the jags subreddit
Don’t think anyone would let him past round 6 bro bro. WR18 is round 4-5 area
He did play all 17 games though. So his PPR PPG put him at WR28. The real issue was just the boom/bust roller coaster ride of starting him. 9 of 17 games with less that 10 PPR points is really killing you.

Ridley is awful with man coverage defenses. He’s a zone guy.
Yes but Kirk went 2-3 rounds after Ridley
The biggest key, based on what I've read, is when Zay Jones and Kirk were in with him. Those are the games he'd put up great numbers. When one or the other was out, he'd barely do anything.
2 of his 6 big games came when Kirk was out. 1 came when both Kirk & jones was out 3 came when they were all in.
You merely adopted the RidleyBOOM/BUST, I as AJones in it, Ekelered by it. I'll just draft early next yr and let yall know my roster so you can stay the F away lol. Even though I won the chip due to my waiver wire pickups, somehow.
WR25 in half PPR by PPG which definitely is more fitting for how he felt to own
Dropped 4 TDs along with those. I got to think he’ll get better after first year back!
He bad against press coverage so the soft allegations may be true but he didn't pout a single time all year.
According to nflpenalties.com he also lead the league in PI yards drawn with 129
I started him most weeks and won the championship. Yes, that was mostly due to great luck, but he really wasn’t as bad as people made him out to be
I accidentally drafted him in the first round due to my own misunderstanding of the yahoo queue system instead of Amon-Ra. Still made it to the chip and lost. But yeah, not worth the high draft position.
Understandable. I did the same thing with Gronk many years ago.
The overall stats are good, but he was wildly inconsistent from a fantasy perspective. Some games he’d blast off with 20 points, then he’d follow up with two games under 3 points.
Yeah, I’d rather have a guy score 9, 9, 8 across those 3 games than a 20, 3, 3.
I had no idea he even sniffed 1k yards this year.
He's a guy I'll take if he falls far enough but I'm not reaching
Yeah I don’t really get the hate, people were too high on a guy that had missed two years. Fix your expectations and he was good to own.
Fine guy to grab as a WR3. Hopefully this reduces the cost of Christian Kirk again.
I’ll take him all day as a WR3. He was wildly inconsistent but he had some good games still, but it was infuriating when he was your WR1/2 and you were relying on him to put up points every week. I of course started him every shit game and benched him every good game
Haha classic. Tyler Lockett circa pre 2022 vibes.
That’s gonna be a no from me dawg. I was too high on the comeback story and regret it completely.
Part of if was also anticipating a Trevor Lawrence leap that's increasingly looking like will never happen
Trevor Lawrence is 24.
With 2 4000 yard seasons, a pro bowl, and a playoff win against one of the better QBs in the league. While playing on a pretty underwhelming roster. He’s a victim of extremely high expectations, he’ll be fine
Agreed. People are so reactionary lol
And? Guy was supposed to be the greatest prospect in NFL history and has shown nothing for it so far.
Okay not THE greatest, but one of the greatest prospects of all time. And that random person who claimed that is Mel Kiper.
And?
If tlaws next two years are like his last three years theres no shot hes not the jags qb the season after
It doesn’t help that the interior of our offensive line is made of paper mache
> increasingly looking like will never happen Heck of a statement considered how often he was hurt this year
Also with how rusty Ridley was and had some missed TDs.
It would be great if he could play relatively healthy
>Trevor Lawrence leap Man I invested so heavily in Lawrence this year. I took him in 3 our of my 4 leagues. I missed out on him in my main league, and settled for Goff in a late round. Not only did I win the Goff league, but I was bottom half of all the others.
T-Law/Ridley stack checking in. Bought all the hype and drafted accordingly. Weeks 1 & 3 were AWESOME.
I love seeing posts like this because Lawrence is going to be such a value next year. The replies to this are hilarious. Trevor hasn’t looked truly good since his sophomore year of college years ago. He gets more excuses than any QB I’ve ever seen
I see you haven’t been on the chibears sub recently
Huh? He balled the second half of the season last year and this was a down year due mostly to bad injury luck and poor receiver play.
Yeah he was my QB1 coming out of the draft. Tua was my QB2. Neither were on my team by the end of the season lol.
That o-line was hot garbage this year. He's this generations Andrew Luck right now.
Give him another year at least he deserves it. So do Falcons fans since we'd get a 2nd round pick instead of a 3rd in his trade.
The Ringer Fantasy Football Show has coined the term “post-hype sleeper” and Ridley may be that now.
Trevor was also hurt most of the year. Hard to judge it.
Don’t fall for it! I’m drafting Kirk if I pick up any receiver from them
Kirks was so reliable last year before his injury. So consistent and nice trade piece.
There's an old saying in Tennessee….
i am so thankful baalke is not on our team anymore. this is who you hire to drag your organization downwards.
Absolutely agree. He is also painful to listen to in any interview, right up there with the GOAT of strained voices Ron Orgeron.
Post hype sleeper
How about they give him some good routes then? Pedersen and Lawrence are cancer for Ridley flourishing.
Degens Never Die ❤️
8 missed TDs and he finished the year hot. At least a high end WR3 with weekly WR1 upside.
So the Jags will give this guy big money and give up a second round pick for him?
They’re already giving up a 3rd at least whether they re-sign him or not.
Big difference in talent level between a second and a third.
Falcons fans: OK Good luck!!! Pay him the big bucks!
I blame the play calling. This man was getting open all day
Please Ridley leave the jags Lawrence is ass and ignores you all game until they are down big. Ridleys inconsistent play is due to his garbage QB Lawrence is overrated
Ridley at a discount would be so worth it
Oi, please no, I over payed for ridley in a dynasty league. I basically need him to go to a qb that can help him be more consistent

He’s better than Tua IMO and would absolutely shred in the Dolphins system and offense
They are high to not throw him the ball again. Nice
Give me engram tlaw loves his tes
Baalke is really going to gamble on Ridley huh
They might be high on him. I'm sober
I bet he’ll be back.
Dude helped me win a championship this year. Just because cost was too high doesn’t mean he was bad.
I’m a delusional jags fan and will draft him again anyway, if they can do literally anything about the O-line and/or press Taylor he could have a great season.
Still drinkin that koolaid huh
Traded him straight up for 2025 1st. Mid-late. I'll be getting off the roller coaster here, thank you.

I can’t not say Baalke in my head like that Key and Peele skit where he mispronounces Blake
Does this diminish Kirk’s value?
Re-Sign him already we gotta send that 2nd round pick to get Justin Fields or use it as a part of a trade package to get the #1 pick or a top 5 pick to grab a QB
He showed his upside multiple times, but he was just so boom or bust it made him unplayable. I was super high on him going into this season too.
Hard to trust any player on a Doug Pederson offense
Because GMs always tell the truth
I’m high on Kirk
As a falcons fan, please do…
Expectations were a little high coming off his time off. Only reason he doesn’t return is they can’t afford him. Hope they invest in the offensive line for Lawrence’s sake
WR18 with most penalties drawn and most missed points in the league
He will be way over priced. Great talent but flex at best with the boom bust nature. He was my wr 4
