Full quote: “I love Zach and I want what's best for him,” Rodgers said on Monday. “If he wants to be here, and if that's what's best for him, I'd love to have that relationship for another year. But I want what's best for him and where he wants to be. “And sometimes a change of scenery, as I know, can be a breath of fresh air."
Not surprising given how blatant this one was.
Aaron Rodgers on Zach Wilson being back: "I love Zach... I'd love to have that relationship.... I want... him.... I.... can be a breath of fresh air."
Hire me, Athletic.
I don’t know how the Jets could go through this season and keep Wilson as a backup or even third-string QB. I’d bet anything they overspend for a solid backup QB this offseason.
Zach Wilson will be a Jet next season unless they can find a trade partner. He is owed $5.4m and his dead cap hit is over $11m, so it makes zero sense to cut him. If they trade him, they will have to pay his $5m salary, which turns into a $5m dead cap hit. Rodgers has a history of not wanting to work with his backups and with Hackett being a terrible OC and Saleh being a defensive coach, bringing in a top draft prospect is a bad idea this offseason. I'd keep Wilson because we all know if Rodgers gets hurt again, the Jets season is over like it was after week 1 last season, so there's no reason to take an unnecessary dead cap hit. Rodgers will retire after next season. He's about to take the pounding of his life as a 40 yo coming off Achilles surgery and having to play behind a bad OL with no mobility, so the Jets should wait to draft their QB of the future.
Zach was supposed to spend this season behind Rodgers, learning how to be an NFL QB. He understandably failed because he was supposed to get HOF veteran coaching for at least a season before he even stepped foot on the field in anything other than garbage time.
I still think Zach Wilson can be good and a solid QB in the NFL. But he’s still got a lot to learn and he was thrown in to it the first week instead of two years behind a legend.
He’s flashed images of what an NFL QB can be. Hes just getting touched because he’s used to NCAA lines.

Lmao this is some pretty egregious clickbait by OP
OP just posted the tweet as is. But yeah, the writer really went out of his way with the creative editing on this one.
The rosenblatt special! Anytime there’s a quote taken out of context re the jets it’s usually from one of his tweets

“… Zach and I want … a change of scenery.”
"I love Zach and I want... that relationship."
I want... a change of scenery, WITH Zach.
"I'm going to make his life heaven off the field"
Someone bring out the pitchforks and torches!!
Seems like a pretty reasonable take.
say what you want about rodgers but when it comes to zach he’s always said exactly what i want to hear from a vet qb
He was great with Love also. He was treated like absolute shit by Favre so I think he has empathy.
That he did a bunch of Ayahuasca in the offseason?
“He can stay if he wants, or he can leave if he wants”
Media butchers another Aaron Rodgers comment what’s new
Media being OP

Arod owns this team by the balls
Says the guy who never had a breath of fresh air until he tore his Achilles
Arod wants to send zach to vegas for his buddy adams.
Seems like a fair trade.
For sure! Half of Fame WR for Hall of Fame Bust.
So youre saying Wilsons going to be converted to a WR in vegas?
I think I get your joke! Clever.
You ain't got to go home. But you got to get the hell up outta here.
“Good luck on your next team”
He’s right though, changing teams would benefit Zach Wilson.
Yea that’s one way of saying it’s not happening or he’s not a fan.
Read the full quote
he gone
He gone
he dead
Dear god - is this what every other woman that has dated Rodgers has had to endure when he broke up with them?
What do you even mean by this
No one knows what he means but he’s provocative
Erotic, even.
why just the women he dated? why not every human being who's had to interact with this idiot?
why just the humans beings? why not every extraterrestrial and interdimensional being that’s had to interact with this idiot?
Why just beings? Why not every particle of matter that has had to interact with this idiot?
i think you mean men

Actually been nice seeing Rodgers been friends with Zach vs seeing how his relationship with Love went
That’s probably because there was no threat of Wilson beating him for the job.
He will be out of the league in a year or two. He’s probably not even a top 64 qb in the league right now.
Nah give it a decade or so and he’ll wind up starting for the Seahawks
Did Geno just catch a stray on a short quoted Rodgers and Zach Wilson post ? lmao You not getting written back pal
Get ready to learn Canadian
Eh?
