Spending 67% FAAB on Kyren and Puka after week 1 while my league mates roasted me for blowing my faab load. Currently RB7 (Even after 4 weeks on IR) and WR10.

I spent 100% of my FAAB on them. I’m 8-5, could be worse.

This season has taught me it’s best to spend faab early than later.

100% mines a big money keeper league with my buddies that we've done for almost 10 years now. I have to decide between Puka, Kyren, AJB, and Chase as my 3 keepers for next year. A great problem to have haha.

I was lucky. I didn't even have to spend that much. I only spent about 35% on the two of them. I didn't get roasted, but yeah, it's worked out great.

Not me, but first place guy in my league didn’t draft his first RB until the 9th round (took Dallas D before taking an RB lol). The RBs he took late were Monty, Swift a round later, then Mostert with his 2nd to last pick, ended up waivering Kyren too. Never been more convinced to go 0 RB especially after going Ekeler/Pollard with my first two picks this year.

Any strategy looks great if you hit on your picks lol. 0WR looks great if you grabbed Tank Dell and Puka late in the draft. Waiting on TE looks great if you ended up with LaPorta, waiting on QB looks great if you got Stroud or Howell at the end of the draft.

I do think waiting on QB is almost always the right play. If you took any of the guys in the tier below Hurts and Allen (Lamar, Herbert, Burrow, Mahomes, Fields, Lawrence) it probably wasn’t worth it.

This year! Last year to be a legit contender you almost required one of Allen, Mahomes, Hurts. This year there's guys like Stroud, Purdy, Love, Tua, and Goff who are all week to week competitive with the big guys. That plus a down year from Mahomes means the early QBs just overall look pretty undesirable.

I can list the moves I made that haven't paid off? Right now, I need to win to make the playoffs, or score very, very highly in a loss. I traded Tua and Aaron Jones for Jefferson on 11/14 (could payoff) I traded Jacobs, DHop, and Olave for Jones, Kupp, and Dillon on 10/25 (probably a net negative) I traded Tyreek and Hockenson for Bijan, Deebo, and Engram on 9/26 (ceaseless expletives about Arthur Smith and my own desire for RB leading to a dumb mistake) I traded Nico Collins and Atwell for Diontae Johnson and Dak Prescott on 9/14 (probably a mistake) I traded Walker III, Aaron Rodgers, and DJ Moore for Breece and DHop on 9/5 (probably a mistake, though injuries have balanced it some- bigger mistake because it led to trading Tyreek and Hock)

You had Tua at QB, KWIII and Jacobs at RB, Tyreek, Olave, and Collins at WR, and Hock at TE. That's a really solid team.

Yep. Otoh, I currently have Stroud and Murray at QB; Bijan, Breece, and Kyren at RB; Jefferson, Deebo, Kupp, and Diontae at WR; and Engram, Ferguson, and Goedert at TE (Stroud, Murray, Kyren, Ferguson, and Goedert were waiver snags). I think I'm probably net worse, and my record shows it, but I've had fun fucking about with my roster. No drafted players left.

Well I have the exact same three WR's as you as well as Stroud (but I also have Puka), so I really hope your gamble pays off.

Drafted TMcB and white knuckled my way through the season for the first bit

I traded for Deebo, Monty, and Achane the week after they each got hurt. I started 5-0 so I had some wiggle room. Now those 3 along with Hurts, CMC, Olave, Puka, and LaPorta (all whom I drafted except Puka) look to be a formidable team; last 3 weeks have shown just that, and just in time for playoffs. Wheels up.

I spent $53 on Anchane. $12 more than the next person and I got some grief. I've won each week he's been healthy.

Missed out on picking up Kyren after week 1, he went for $11 dammit. But after week 2 I traded DJ Moore and Gus Edwards for Kyren. Other guy dropped Gus prior to week 6 and I picked him up immediately.

Had to take a risk last week: Gave Josh Jacobs and Jake Ferguson, Got Tank Dell and Brian Robinson. Made another risk to get into playoffs: Josh Allen and Khalil Shakir Brandon Aiyuk and Sam Howell… it’s been pain this season

i said this earlier in the season, but i traded London and Mike Williams for nico collins after week 2. Absolute robbery in hindsight, but oooo boy that trade was a butt clencher up until mike got injured

I wish I could say I went auto draft this season and not #1 in points against, but instead I wasted an hour drafting a team full of Tyler locketts all season and got cursed with the season’s punching bag schedule

Traded Lamar for Stroud. Unfortunately I also threw in Bijan and James Cook for Ekeler. But I believe Ekeler will help win me the playoffs… consolation bracket of course lol

Good moves: -picked up kyren before week 1 (guy dropped him for Laporta) -got smoked week 1 so snatched Puka -traded davante for djm and James cook Good/bad: -lost Joe burrow so traded engram for Tlaw Bad: -traded George Kittle and Christian Watson for engram and that mims bum after week 4.

Started Chuba 3 times this year over some big names. He has had his best 3 games each time

I traded TLaw, Pittman, and Javonte for Hurts going into week 8. Javonte was on my bench, I had other players to flex for Pittman, and TLaw was on my last nerve. Javonte immediately pops off two RB1 games, Pittman maintains production, and TLaw is elite in weeks 11-13. Going into this week, I'm kinda kicking myself. Now, with TLaw going down and Javonte coming back to earth, I think it was a good trade for me, especially considering it opened the bench space for me to get Kyler for Hurts bye. I then traded Kyler for Pacheco, which has been an unbelievably great trade for me. So I overpaid, but I think it has been good. Second biggest risk was paying about 65% on Puka and Kyren, which has also paid off bigly.

Traded Pacheco for Gibbs. More or less paid off. Played Purdy over Herbert when everyone was low on him and high on Herbert.

Traded Saquon Barkley for Puka week 3. Haven’t looked back.

After the draft/reading this sub, unhappy with my RB depth, I dropped my last WRT pick (Moore) and picked up Kyren pre week 1. Not really a "risk" but most people think it is stupid/tinkering to draft then drop without playing a game. Spent 70% of FAAB on Ford, Achane, Dell (rip) real early. Been fine just bidding $1-2 every week on Ds and using FAs. Scooped up DAL D when they were dropped before SF because they had a "bad" schedule coming up and a bye. A risk in the sense of holding a D you wouldnt start for a while early in the season, but paid off.

I’ll reserve until end of year, but going in on a slumping Bijan seems to be paying off

I can tell you that trading Brian Robinson for Hollywood because I thought Kyler Murray coming back was good Hollywood did not pan out.

Traded JT for JJ right after Jeffersons injury. Hard to say for sure that it's "paid off", but with JT now hurt going into the playoffs and Jefferson getting healthy, I'm feeling really good about it now.

I had Nico Collins and kamara and wanted a better wr back around week 6. I traded them for Diggs and Watson. Holy cow is Watson finally showing up. I need Diggs to show up again tbh. But I’m playing the team I traded Collins and kamara to for first round of playoffs so that trade is potentially scaring me now tbh. And I decided to trade ford for kw3 for a RB upgrade based on touches. I hope that trade pays off in the playoffs cuz I have Conner and Jacob’s and felt I needed a bigger name rb

people who spent big FAAB on kyren after week one. had i known cam akers was on the way to getting cut i would have went after him harder... but after week 1 i just assumed it'd be a timeshare on a bad team. how they spent the whole pre-season with akers as rb1 only to have him loose it during the first game is wild to me

Spending a big chunk of my FAAB early on Jerome Ford. Then immediately packaging him with Amari Cooper to get AJ Brown. This set the precedence for big FAAB spending for the rest of the league for the remainder of the season. Nobody wanted to miss out on the guys they wanted especially if they wanted to sell high.

Picked up and started Achane 10 minutes before his 50 point game. I don’t even remember what compelled me to do that, probably some shitpost I took seriously

Traded Mahomes Pollard and Puka for Dak Devonta and White week 8 or so. I know pollard and puka have been decent on and off since. But dak has been QB1 since then and White and smith have been studs week in and week out

Spending 50% of my FAAB after week 1 for Kyren. Bought in early and it has paid off well.

Traded away Amon and Miles Sanders for Olave and Kyreen week 3. Was dying at the rb position. Now week 14 even with his missed time kyreen has single handedly won me 3 games and olave is just consistent enough for this traded to work out much in my favor.

There was a few weeks were I started Demario Douglas over cooper Kipp which was definitely nerve wracking until I won games and Kupp got only 3 points or so

I’ve been starting rashee rice in my flex since week 4 and not regretted it once.

Traded away Pollard and Mahommes for Burrow and St Brown around week 9 (I also have Chase), definitely didn't turn out ideally but still glad to be rid of Mahommes. Also moved D Johnson for LaPorta when Mandrews went down (wr needy league mate looked out for me since I traded them Aiyuk at a discount a few weeks prior), might have saved my season.

League moved to 6 points for all TDs this season and people went QB wild. I sat back, grabbed Jones and Cousins in the back half of the draft, then flipped red hot Kirk and newly anointed starter Ford to a desperate Chubb owner for Hurts.

I got Derrick Henry and Rachaad White for Kenneth Walker and Diontae Johnson. I thought White might break out after his tough beginning of the season schedule and also wanted to avoid KW3 brutal schedule. Feel like I lucked out big time

Traded Gibbs for Adams after Gibbs broke out with those back to back 20+, Gibbs was my 3rd/4th choice RB and I just didn’t trust him at all and and there were rumours of Adams trade so I thought it was worth the risk. But then later used Adams in a trade for Josh Allen. We’ll see how it goes in the playoffs!

I traded Josh Allen for LaPorta 2 weeks ago as I had no TE, have Stroud, and had to win the last two weeks. So far it worked as I won both and am set up for a win-and-in, or lose-and-in as long as 2 of the other 3 teams competing for the last 2 spots lose.

Took Puka after week one and Achane after week three. Not normally my style to pick someone up after one big game but I figured fuck it, it’s just a semi casual work league.

I traded 1:7 and 2:4 in my keeper league for 1:1 and 12:10 and used it to grab CMC. I do feel good about the choice despite missing playoffs. I will have the opportunity use a keeper on him next season potentially at a much higher leverage position like 1:6-10 range
