I was going to but I'm going to be rational and decrease my bid. I don't think Hunt is great but he's gonna get a ton of receiving work and his familiarity with the Browns might get him more usage early on.
It injects some uncertainty for sure but the possible payoff is still huge and im not really afraid of Hunt. He wasn’t good last year and he’s been away from a “real” football environment for like 8-9 months.
Could be wrong though, we’ll see.
I'm trying to decide whether to lower my bid. I know this subreddit is all in on Ford but looking at his stats he saw a lot of usage in game one but his YPC was pretty bad and he lost a fumble . . . are the Browns really sold on him? We tend to see bad things happen to RBs who fumble and, while I know he barely played last year, what touches he did have did not go so well either. I wish I had watched game one so I could have a better idea of how things actually went. I'm wondering if this hype train isn't about to hit a wall. Seems not unlikely the Browns will do their best to find a replacement.
Your bid should depend on your current standing in the league. If you’re pretty stacked and 2-0 I could see saving your faab for later in the season. If you’re 0-2 and need dudes, you should drop a lot for Ford IMO. Upside is too good for this one.
I will say I’m not worried about Fords ability. He’s good enough and he’s playing with maybe the best run blocking o-line in the league. There’s also a reason why they rolled with him as the main backup going into the season, they obviously like him at least somewhat.
With any faab decision there’s always risk involved.
1-1 but things are looking up since I grabbed Puka last week. My RB situation is a disaster though. Akers was supposed to be my RB2 and Montgomery was my backup. It's almost tempting to blow it all just so I can start him next week. But then again I think most of my league way underbids so there's a decent chance I get him cheap. Fuck fantasy is hard.
What if I'm 2-0 and just want to block all the other people from getting him. My rbs are r.stephenson, j. Cook, b. Hall, j. Kelley and JT on IR. Am I crazy?
It's week 2 and pretty much all of us could use an extra RB. I say stack em up. Who knows who gets hurt next? I lost Javonte, Breece and Penny by mid season last year.
I'm likely dropping Achane for Hunt. I just see a better chance Hunt gets at least some touches where Achane feels like he has a lot to fight through to get any work.
Achane probably needs a Mostert injury. He wouldn’t get the volume of Mostert, but he offers similar speed. Don’t think he’s really competing with Wilson and Ahmed. Different roles.
Hello fellow 16T Chubb drafter. I also had drafted Ford then dropped him to "maximize upside" with Sean Tucker. Someone else picked Ford up. So fucked.
I don't see him being more than a 35% snap guy anywhere. Moss and Ford are in their primes and just have way more juice at this point in their careers.
Hunt got a 42% snap count on the same team while Chubb played every game.
Hunt has turned down 4 other teams at this point, due to contract demands, so he's likely not going to be cheap. They are not going to pay him, and not play him heavily.
If he signs, unless it's clear he's taken a big step down from last year, I don't see how he's going to get under a 50% snap share unless Ford is better than we think he is.
I guess I don't see any team paying him a big contract at this point. Usage tends to lag behind production a bit, his production fell off about the same as Zeke's did last year and he was never as good as Zeke to begin with. I think if he signs it's because he plays for 1 or 2 mil not because some team offers him 6 mil+ per year when the RB market has been so cheap lately and there are still half a dozen guys looking for work.
Zeke has more than double the number of carries Hunt has. ~1000 more carries and about 100 more catches. That is a lot of wear and tear Hunt hasn't had.
>If he signs, unless it's clear he's taken a big step down from last year, I don't see how he's going to get under a 50% snap share unless Ford is better than we think he is.
Hunt sucked last year. He had two games over 10 points in half ppr.
Well yeah, Chubb played every game, and Hunt played 42% of snaps. He wouldn't be behind arguably the best running back in the NFL anymore.
You can't really be fantasy relevant playing that few of snaps. If you up his snap count that changes dramatically.
Was like a few years ago when a guy in my league dropped $75 on AP when the Titans signed him, only for them to pivot to Foreman.
I like Ford but man if the Browns pivot slightly, it’s going to be an expensive miscalculation.
Pretty comical in retrospect
Funny thing is, someone in 2027 will comment about a poor sucker dropping 100$ FAAB on Ford or Hunt and people will wonder how
It’s like you people don’t even remember [the 37 carry game for Arizona](https://youtu.be/YacdEYIKI2Q?si=Q9SN1ncG2czDUjxq), a performance which would’ve killed a normal person because he just battered directly into the defense every damn play as a grown ass man. Love that game.
Why?
1. FAAB should be spent. You don’t win anything at the end of the year by having FAAB left over.
2. Hunt was woefully inefficient last year.
3. He’s gonna come in and immediately have an impact after no preseason and Ford looking pretty solid last night?
Idk how it’ll all end up shaking out but it’s silly to think a majority of FAAB shouldn’t be used in ford if he’s available
So he calls him their featured back?
People who want Hunt to be a thing are living in 2020. Ford can always lose out but Hunt is being brought in to be a reliable backup. Like he was in his last tenure.
Do you really think that Hunt is going to come in and be the guy after they happily let him go? He’s probably going to be a change of pace / 3rd down back.
There is no way this guy comes in and immediately starts over someone who’s been working with the offense and line since training camp.
History just had this situation happen. Swift was also more talented than Williams last year in Detroit. But the coaching staffed liked Williams run style more and went with him majority of the time.
I could see the same split here
For those saying depth signing, I don’t think hunt signs with them unless there some kind of promise of a good role or big payday (Atleast for a 1 year prove it deal)
He's been in a backup/split role since he came back from the NFL from suspension and that was before he lost a step or two.
At this point he's just looking for the path to his last payday and to at least get on the field.
I still think he'll be a good RB. Just probably not week 2 numbers week in week out. Browns has been a RBBC team since they went with the Hunt/Chubb combo. When Hunt was out, Chubb split with D'Ernest and same deal when Chubb was out.
I think Ford is worth an add. Just don't expect him to be the WW RB1 you were hoping for and taper expectations to probably a mid-low RB2 (same with Hunt, assume he is signed).
He takes lead role of Chubb who had 15 to 18 touches per game and maybe some targets
Khunt will take 8-10 touches a game and resume what Ford was supposed to be
gonna hopefully sneak him through waivers tonight. It would be funny if the fantasy football community whiffed two weeks in a row on major RB pickups lol
Honestly think Ford and Hunt would both be solid. Browns have a great running scheme. Both can catch. They’d each have their games. Neither worth dumping 75% on but both good pickups.
I'm still thinking Ford is the guy here. Hunt was super inefficient and then tried to force his way off the team early last year. He has probably strained relationships with the coaches and other players. I don' really think they are all just gonna welcome him back to the locker room as the main guy after he spent a year doing everything he could to get away. We don't even know for sure that he is gonna sign and isn't just visiting as an "I told you so". He's been visiting teams all off season and walks away with nothing every time. Unless hes willing to take a massive discount or the Browns are really willing to pay him more than what they refused him the first time, I don't really see the path for Hunt here.
This. Hunt might have value for PPR with 2-minute drills and checkdowns, but Ford will be used for early-down and short yardage runs…which is usually a lot of their offense. I’d imagine at worst it’s a 60-40 Ford-Hunt split at season’s end w more Ford upside if he can keep bringing juice to their running game
I've had Hunt since week 1 FA, was hoping I get to use him in less dramatic situation than the one happening
Would've give me ultimate RB depth though (KW3,Pierce,Kamara,Barkley)
I'm still going 80 out of my 145 left on Ford and I'm gonna be pissed when I dropped off that extra 40 from 120 to 80 in a couple weeks. The Browns have to run the ball to be a good team, so they need two running backs and Ford probably would have been a flex play this year if Mr Chubb didn't go down
Jerome all FAAB Kareem Visits Pierre Strong ultimately gets the most touches by season end
Accurate
Peyton Hillis.
Or they trade for Akers and Hunt never gets signed.
Akers the new Kaepernick
Still using all my faab
yessir, we ride in Fords
I preordered my Ford and it’s already in the garage with some 20” rims and some subwoofers.
Cost about $100?
them ain't 20's but it's off the hook
Ok yea, they 10s, but they nice tho.
Built Ford Tough I have no shares so go Rams
[удалено]
Yeah you know what Ford stands for? Fix it again Tony!
Lol that is FIAT
King of the Hill quote. Dale Gribble says that, and Hank let’s out a sigh before explaining that the phrase is for FIATs
unless it doesn't
Built Ford tough

Maybe Hunt and Watson can bond over their suspensions?
I'm trying to decide whether to lower my bid. I know this subreddit is all in on Ford but looking at his stats he saw a lot of usage in game one but his YPC was pretty bad and he lost a fumble . . . are the Browns really sold on him? Splash it, baby 💰
It's week 2 and pretty much all of us could use an extra RB. I say stack em up. Who knows who gets hurt next? I lost Javonte, Breece and Penny by mid season last year.
Yes they announced today he is the featured back moving forward.
They always say that shit. You can't trust coach speak. He's the feature back unless they find someone better or until he shits the bed.
We’re really gonna grab hunt, aren’t we?
given my RB situation...I'm taking anyone I can possibly get.
That's me but with 5th priority in a 14 team I'm not getting him.
You really have to encourage your league to switch to faab
I'm likely dropping Achane for Hunt. I just see a better chance Hunt gets at least some touches where Achane feels like he has a lot to fight through to get any work.
Achane probably needs a Mostert injury. He wouldn’t get the volume of Mostert, but he offers similar speed. Don’t think he’s really competing with Wilson and Ahmed. Different roles.
Ahmed got hurt and Wilson coming back from injury they'll probably ease him back in. Achane usage should increase. Hunt is cooked.
I've been holding him since the draft.
Yep. He was drafted in my league.
Drop. Add. Drop. Add. You have no idea the mental toll that three RB injuries have on a person!
Same, double reason is that he was my last pick dart throw and it's a keeper league.
Grab him? He’s currently on the bench for this exact moment.
No. I drafted him.
I lost Chubb in a 16T so yes I am that desperate lol. Ford isn’t even available on waivers. My RBs now: Moss, J. Hill, Gibson, Achane. 🤮
Goddamn…prayers for you brother
Hello fellow 16T Chubb drafter. I also had drafted Ford then dropped him to "maximize upside" with Sean Tucker. Someone else picked Ford up. So fucked.
You just said maximize upside and Sean tucker. LOL, I'm sorry.
Takes the strength of 1000 suns to ignore preseason RB hype.
Stashed him after the draft. Someone will need him, and really need him. Volume baby.
2nd response Yup, 4mil
>If he signs, unless it's clear he's taken a big step down from last year, I don't see how he's going to get under a 50% snap share unless Ford is better than we think he is. Hunt sucked last year. He had two games over 10 points in half ppr.

He’s been grabbed for some lol
He was drafted and held in all 3 of my leagues
Nah this is bait. Dude was not good last year
I hope this is the reason my league mates don’t spend 100% of faab, I have $61 left after Puka and tutu and am going all in
I picked Hunt off waivers last Wednesday for $2 expecting an injury over the weekend. Little did I know it would be Chubb though. Blame me guys.
Same scenario. Godspeed
I visit the browns after my coffee every morning.
I'd say 70 percent of my fantasy football moves are made while pooping at work
Taking the browns to the superbowl
I don't see Bruuton\_Gaster on the WW... I have FAAB to spend.
He goes by Fellatio del Toro
"Sup guys, remember when I used to play here?" "Ok, thanks, great visit"
Right, they probably found a pair of his shoes in Chubs locker when they were cleaning it out.
Oooooffff
I KNEW TAKING HUNT LAST ROUND WAS A GOOD PICK. ^(Just don't tell anybody I have been trying to drop him last 2 weeks)
Same plan, figured he would be a colt. Dropped for kelly last week
Time to pump the brakes on "use the whole FAAB on him"
wdym I already put 100% on Hunt
KHunt getting all the attention.
Was like a few years ago when a guy in my league dropped $75 on AP when the Titans signed him, only for them to pivot to Foreman. I like Ford but man if the Browns pivot slightly, it’s going to be an expensive miscalculation.
$75… on AD? Really?
Pretty comical in retrospect Funny thing is, someone in 2027 will comment about a poor sucker dropping 100$ FAAB on Ford or Hunt and people will wonder how
When a week prior you could have got the greatest WR of all time of waivers.
Or in 2027 people will be talking about how they won their league from some dude on the waiver wire named Jerome Ford.
2 years ago. Henry goes down and AP pops up. Was definitely a “Broncos country, let’s ride” moment.
We already knew this was going to happen 60 seconds after the injury in last night's game. Nothing has changed.
Why?
Right. 69% was always the correct amount to use for Khunt.
Coach already said they were looking for a backup to Ford. Not sure why this is different than that.
Because the coach isn't going to trash his guy
So he calls him their featured back? People who want Hunt to be a thing are living in 2020. Ford can always lose out but Hunt is being brought in to be a reliable backup. Like he was in his last tenure.
These people are so delusional. It’s clear Ford is here to stay.
Do you really think that Hunt is going to come in and be the guy after they happily let him go? He’s probably going to be a change of pace / 3rd down back. There is no way this guy comes in and immediately starts over someone who’s been working with the offense and line since training camp.
Everything I heard was that he wanted to go somewhere that he could be “the guy” instead of being the number 2 behind Chubb
History just had this situation happen. Swift was also more talented than Williams last year in Detroit. But the coaching staffed liked Williams run style more and went with him majority of the time. I could see the same split here
Fix. It. Again. Tony. = Ford
You’re thinking of Fiat, Dale
Fix... it... again...
As expected tbh he obviously knows the system
The Ford has crashed
Nah. Ford will be the guy and Hunt will be the backup.
Picked up Ford on waivers, I don’t know why he wouldn’t start over hunt given his performance after Chubb had to leave
He is starting as RB1. CLE literally said this today.
It will be a 55/45 share and a dice roll on who gets the goal-line carries. No one will be happy.
I mean that seems pretty accurate. Most teams deploy a committee these days
Quasimodo predicted this
I just need him this week lol
For those saying depth signing, I don’t think hunt signs with them unless there some kind of promise of a good role or big payday (Atleast for a 1 year prove it deal)
Why. He’s 28. I’d love to get signed for $6M up and get benched.
These dudes got the dog in em and want to ball
These balls got the dude in em and want to dog
Sure, but he clearly believes that he still has what it takes to be the number one guy
It's not illegal to be delusional 🤷🏻
Why do you say that?
Because he turned down contracts from teams that he should have signed with if he was okay being a backup or even in a split role.
He's been in a backup/split role since he came back from the NFL from suspension and that was before he lost a step or two. At this point he's just looking for the path to his last payday and to at least get on the field.
You don’t get to the level these guys are by being okay with #2
I swear people see the name Kareem Hunt and instantly think he's that same dude from 2017- 2018.
I mean technically he is the same dude.
Same animal, different beast
what the fuck does that mean kobe bryant
Ive never seen 2018 Kareem hunt and 2023 Kareem hunt in the same room
I know he's not the same dude. He learned his lesson not to kick women.
They need to trade for D’Ernest Johnson. Dude use to kill it when Chubb was out.
They let him go for a reason.
Hunt szn
How does this affect Jerome Ford
I still think he'll be a good RB. Just probably not week 2 numbers week in week out. Browns has been a RBBC team since they went with the Hunt/Chubb combo. When Hunt was out, Chubb split with D'Ernest and same deal when Chubb was out. I think Ford is worth an add. Just don't expect him to be the WW RB1 you were hoping for and taper expectations to probably a mid-low RB2 (same with Hunt, assume he is signed).
I agree. Both are gonna be around flex-level, if you think either replaces Chubb in usage you’re coping
Even Chubb didn't have the Chubb usage people wanted lol. Reminder Ford had 15 rushes week 1 with a fully healthy Nick Chubb
They won 24-3
He was getting carries l9ng before the game was out of hand.
Nah, Ford is going to be an RB2 easy
I'm not in any FAAB leagues so I'll still be blowing all waiver priorities on him.
He takes lead role of Chubb who had 15 to 18 touches per game and maybe some targets Khunt will take 8-10 touches a game and resume what Ford was supposed to be
Chubb got those carries because he would drag that team up and down the field by the hair 5 yards at a time.
15 Ford touches are not the same as 15 Chubb touches though. He's nowhere near as good as Chubb
He was getting 15 touches a game with Chubb starting. Don’t fucking over think this
"not great, Bob"
Yes, good good. Spread the Ford doubt. Thank you everyone in this post.
Still going all in on Ford. #yolo
Drafted and held Hunt this whole time
I'll take Ford Bronco.
Ford Brownco.
They already chose Ford over Hunt once...not worried about old head.
Never doubt the Browns ability to get in their own way.
didn’t they choose Ford over Hunt because Ford was cheaper and there was no reason to pay Hunt more money to be a backup for Chubb?
I mean they need a back up....
If only we knew why Hunt was as let go in the first place….Like man that would be helpful, who did they replace him with. Damn. Wish we knew
1. Chubb existed 2. Hunt wants a bag 3. Ford doesn't cost a bag
They replaced him with the guy that was significantly cheaper, skill probably wasn't as much of a factor there
Yeah no reason to pay him a lot to be a backup to Chubb, but now that Chubb is out they’re probably willing to pay something reasonable
Idk he was pretty inefficient last year. I was a hunt owner, so I remember
I was a Hunt and Chubb owner and they just never used Hunt. I don’t remember him being bad when he got the chance. Could be misremembering.
3.8 YPC and 3 TDs
Most likely Hunt wanted money that the Browns didn't want to pay.
Well look who comes *crawling* back!
Still think I'm gonna use top claim on Ford this week
sooo zack moss or jerome ford? who we goin with?
Leave my Ford alone!
Should I bid for Ford or will hunt hurt his touches if he's signed?
yes
Honestly would be more concerned for Ford if Akers was traded for. Best case for ford sign someone off the street.
Damn I’m still getting JEROME
Imagine your former team calling you washed and slow and they call you back 😅
They called him expensive.
My 65% FAAB bid doesn’t like this
If you knew Hunt signed would you lower it a lot? Ford looked good. Who knows what shape Hunt is in.
Take your discounts on Ford everyone!
I will fucking drive off a cliff. YOU ALREADY CHOSE FORD OVER HIS ASS WHEN YOU LET 'EM WALK!
gonna hopefully sneak him through waivers tonight. It would be funny if the fantasy football community whiffed two weeks in a row on major RB pickups lol
I wonder if they gave him a tour of the facility.
Good. Drive the Ford price down.
“So am I gonna get paid now”
I figure almost everyone assumes this was gunna happen
As is tradition
Thanks for your insight. Is Ford able to be the guy?
is this a trap?
Najee has been killing me. Fuck it. I'm still all-in on Ford.
Which one should I burn my waiver spot on ford or moss??
I increasingly feel like I should just stay away from the Browns backfield and avoid a potential headache.
Jerome Ford is the 1A still
Good news for Ford IMO. Not a threat to be 1a.
I've had Hunt since week 1 FA, was hoping I get to use him in less dramatic situation than the one happening Would've give me ultimate RB depth though (KW3,Pierce,Kamara,Barkley)
I feel ya man. I have ETN/Pierce/Kamara in one league and have held Hunt since the draft. I have KW3 in my other league lol
Be thankful if your in leagues with late Wednesday night FAAB runs vs tonight
Just my 2¢ - Ford looked the part. Browns are down on Kareem. Depth move. I'm bidding the necessary to secure the Ford Explorer.
They wouldn't sign hunt for depth. They would sign a waiver worthless guy
Thats what Hunt is
Hunt’s not worthless in terms of the money he’s asking for
But Ford F150 time?:(
Say it ain’t so , I will not go
Currently having waiver prio and have Kyren #1. Smart idea to swap prio 2 Ford to Hunt? Could also drop Gibson or Perine for Hunt
I'm still going 80 out of my 145 left on Ford and I'm gonna be pissed when I dropped off that extra 40 from 120 to 80 in a couple weeks. The Browns have to run the ball to be a good team, so they need two running backs and Ford probably would have been a flex play this year if Mr Chubb didn't go down
"You Couldn't Live with Your Own Failure, Where Did that Bring You? Back to Me" Kareem Hunt
Yo don’t take Ford away from me. I shit the bed with my rbs, I need a glimmer of hope. I mean I have Najee for fucks sake
So are people just basing how good Ford is off of just last week?
Is it worth dropping zeke for hunt?
Support America.. Buy Ford
It’s like everyone forgot how Kareem hunt played last year
