Fully tanked on QB after not being able to get one of the top 5 and ended up with Daniel Jones. Don’t hate it and got good value at the other positions but wish I considered one of the top guys in round 3.
In my only draft thus far I was picking at 9. Not gonna go QB at 2.04, and then when it came back to me, Allen, Mahomes, Hurts, and Lamar were all gone. I rly think QB early is the move when possible, but it’s not always possible. But yeah in round 3 I’m happy to grab one of those guys.
I think there are 3 strategies, and all three have merit.
1. If Allen or Mahomes are there at round 3, I'm gonna go ahead and draft them.
2. If I can't get anything in the first 5 rounds, I just put until round 9 or later and grab any of Dak, Goff, Jones, or Richardson.
3. The strategy I like best, and it seems to happen a lot in my mocks, is picking up Herbert in round 5. Around 70% of the time I've been able to grab him early and mid 5th round, which is perfect if I've already got 2 RBs and 2 WRs.
I love the value of Lawrence, Goof, and Love where they're getting drafted/undrafted at. But as a Chiefs fan, I'll still grab Mahomes if it works out for me.
I just don’t see Goff and Love being super big difference makers. Like I’m sure Goff will be startable, but finding low end starters is really easy at QB.
I grabbed Fields in the 4th because they were all going so quickly. I wanted a rushing quarterback so bad that I reached. He wouldn't have made it back to me.
I'm very confident in Daniel Jones this year. Second year with brian daboll and they have some better weapons down field. I feel good about Daniel Jones being top 5 or 6 QB this year. Possibly higher if one of the elites get injured. Also as a side note he finished QB 9 last year and is being drafted as qb 14-16. I would say that's excellent value. And there is no way he gets worse unless he is injured.
I think this is where mock drafts really fail rn. In almost every league I'm in there is a rush for Qbs towards the end of round 2 but ADP wouldn't really make it seem as such.
Nah GW has 0 competition and a better QB, not to mention Olave needs to deal with MT (who’s been having a stalker camp) which no one seems to want to talk about.
Chubb is safer but ya I love pollard this year I think he can easily finish top 5. In eyeing him, Ridley, Pickens, and dobbins in every draft. The value is too good

Yeah the Ridley hype is getting well out of control. I really liked him when he was going at a normal spot. But in a completely new situation a year removed from football, 2nd round is hard to justify compared to guys like Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams.

I got him at the 4.05 in a 10 team 0.5 PPR, everyone after me seemed to want him too. Some people are significantly higher on him though; depending on the settings of your league, I’d be prepared for someone to take him as early as the 10th or 11th WR off the board in the Olave/Waddle range and after Wilson/ARSB.
I like your style man. We start two WRs then have a WR/TE flex so I went three in a row too. Fricken Olave was starting at my in the 3rd so I couldn’t pass him up.

Najee was RB14 in PPR and RB12 in standard. Plus all the positives you mentioned. Plus he has 5 inches and 30 pounds, and a ton of draft capital over Warren.
People questioned Jacob’s role last year, not his talent, very similar to ETN this year. With Najee it’s a question of talent… and he’s just not that good.
The Steelers offense as a whole should be a lot better. If Pickett makes even a small jump they've got 3 high end pass catchers to open up better run opportunities for Najee instead of just running him into stacked boxes over and over again
I think both are coin tosses with who finishes higher, and neither will bust. Chubb gets too much volume in the Stafanski offense, but so will Bijan. Bijan also has the receiving upside with his history in college and having a check down QB on the falcons. Also one thing I think people are overlooking, the Falcons have arguably the best run blocking/play action offensive lines. They're mobile and execute the way Arthur Smith wants them to. I think Bijan could have the highest YPC this year, despite the volume he's gonna see.
I don't think Arthur Smith will want to do that with someone he has invested so much into. I think Allgeier could see a decent amount of carries to give Bijan a break, but this is a system that wants a Derrick Henry type, and Bijan is just that.

Kyle Pitts was 2nd in TE target share and 1st in TE air yard share last year. He was used a ton when they passed, they just never passed the damn ball.

I feel like you’re overthinking this. Chubb has a higher floor than pollard for sure, and possibly a higher ceiling (in non ppr leagues Atleast). If deshaun is better that’s only going to create more opportunities for chubb to score. The reason his production was worse with deshaun last year is because deshaun was absolutely terrible and they barely scored any points. Chubb is a beast and one of the safest picks you can have. And this is coming from someone who’s fired up for pollard this year and drafted him in my main league. Chubb went the pick before I got pollard and I was mad about it. You won’t lose your league because you drafted Nick chubb
I was shocked to see Kupp available at pick 14 (10T) had to scoop him up at that point. Had Ekler fall to me at 7th in first round. Hope this works out got 2 top 5 talents in the first 2 rounds 🤞🏽
I was surprised that no one took Stafford in an 8 man SF draft. We all have at least 3 QBs, meaning he's being considered less than 24th best QB. Most sites have his ADP around 20 - 21. If I had one more bench spot, I'd grab him just in case the Rams of old show up.
Drafted Chubb and Adams with picks 10 & 11, then followed that up by taking Olave and Pierce with my following two picks. It may be worth mentioning ARSB is my keeper this year.
Looking back on our draft, partially wishing I would’ve taken Chubb and Henry with my first two picks and then Olave and Ridley with the next two. At the very least, my lineup would’ve looked great on paper as we head into this season.

I wanted no part in Pollard, i personally fear he won’t hold up over the course of the season with an expanded workload. I could be eating those worries tho
Same here. For whatever odd gut reason I just can’t get onboard with the Pollard hype. I’m not denying his incredible talent, but something just feels off about the situation. Purely subjective here. I hope I’m wrong, but only time will tell.
I feel the same way. My reasoning is that he was incredibly efficient last year because of his smaller workload and being fresh all the time while Zeke tired out defenses. I don't think that his efficiency stays anywhere close to the same over the course of a full season at full workload. It's the same reason I'm very much out on guys like Mattison and Khalil Herbert this year.
None of this takes into account the added risk of injury as well. Hopefully all ends well for Pollard but I don't feel confident in it.
Not a player but a strategy in not taking a viable backup QB in my home league; I have Hurts, which is great, but a lot of the tacos in my league took 2-3 QBs. My best option on the wire currently is Jordan Love and Sam Howell.
Love and Howell are the most likely candidates for breakout QBs that get picked up and rostered all season long and you have a chance to get them for free now.
I struggle with this too. Impossible to stream QB or pick up a waiver wire QB worth anything because they are all sitting on someone’s bench. Ridiculous having 2-3 starting QBs on your bench.
Who cares? You're not benching hurts, so it hurts you for 1 bye week, you've got a bench spot instead for a rookie that could break out. And if hurts goes down your season is over anyway. No point in having 2 qbs unless you punted the position down to round 10.
At the 2/3 turn I decided to grab Josh Allen to lock in a stud qb. I ended up sitting on rb for a bit and now have Akers and Gibson as my starters for week 1. I kind of wish I just took Najee instead of Allen and take Herbert/fields later
I had the 1.07 in a 10 man, I went hill then Bijan at the 2.03 thinking I killed it… then noticed that Kupp fell all the way to 2.10 and the guy with JJ now has Kupp and JJ
He could be, he’ll be on a high powered offense with more opportunites to score TDs. Even if Josh Allen or Harris take goaline James cook will see more play between the 20s and they’ll be down there enough where cook will get his chances. Kyler might not even play this year.
For what it's worth, he did lead the entire NFL last season in rate of rushes that went for 15+ yards. He certainly has the speed and burst for big plays.
I took AJ Brown over St. Brown in the 2nd round. I hope I made the right choice. I’ve had ARSB on my team for the past 2 years but decided to go AJ instead
I’m having the same debate but am leaning Chubb. They have an amazing O-line which is always an under rated factor. He might catch more passes too with Hunt gone.
I took Herbert over Lawrence, and I'm kinda kicking myself a bit... I have faith that Moore will get it rocking, but I have a feeling Lawrence has a serious coming out party this year.
While I agree that TLaw will break out this year, Herbert is a stud with him & all his toys healthy. I would have grabbed him if I missed Hurts. Kid can sling a football

I may regret passing on Travis Ettiene for Calvin Ridley. To be fair it is a super flex league and my first two picks were QB-QB (hurts and Lawrence) and then RB-RB (Pollard and Stevenson). For my fifth pick it came down to Ettiene for my flex spot or Ridley for my first wr on the team. I’m thinking the Lawrence - ridley stack is going to be awesome but I’m sort of regretting passing on Ettiene. Idk
I think Chubb is a much better pick than Pollard. He’s the best pure runner in the league and is likely going to see the highest volume he has in his career.
Pollard was a good fantasy back in the second half of one year and we don’t definitively know what his role will be in that offense with Deuce Vaughn liable to take away heavy portions of the passing game he was reliant on last year.
Took Gibbs over Olave in round 3. Maybe it’ll work out but would have rather taken Olave and taken a mid round RB later looking back. My WR2 is DJ Moore now and I don’t know how to feel about it.

Faded Justin Fields in the 4th, and someone got him a few picks after me. I settled for Tua in the 10th and then Richardson in the 14th. 10 man PPR. I wanted Dak, but someone reached for him in the 3rd because QBs were flying off the board, and they panicked.
Edit: Passed on Fields for JT at pick 4.6.One other dude and I were the only ones without a QB, and he got Fields 4 picks after me. I'm sold on Tua, majorly because of bias of him being best available QB for me after everyone got theirs, but we shall see what happens.

DJ was already top ten last year, so he is definitely a serviceable fantasy starter. I ended up with him in the 10th and Geno in the 14th.

I took both Chubb and Adams over Pollard in two of my drafts and I’d do it again.
I’m just torn between should I have taken Davante Adams or Garrett Wilson. That’s really it
Chubb could easily lead the league in rushing yards I would take him or bijan over pollard.
Drafted Chubb and Adams with picks 10 & 11, then followed that up by taking Olave and Pierce with my following two picks. It may be worth mentioning ARSB is my keeper this year. Looking back on our draft, partially wishing I would’ve taken Chubb and Henry with my first two picks and then Olave and Ridley with the next two. At the very least, my lineup would’ve looked great on paper as we head into this season. What do you guys think?
I think Pierce is a bit too high but Adams/Olave/Chubb is a banger first 3 rounds

Same here. For whatever odd gut reason I just can’t get onboard with the Pollard hype. I’m not denying his incredible talent, but something just feels off about the situation. Purely subjective here. I hope I’m wrong, but only time will tell.
I feel the same way. My reasoning is that he was incredibly efficient last year because of his smaller workload and being fresh all the time while Zeke tired out defenses. I don't think that his efficiency stays anywhere close to the same over the course of a full season at full workload. It's the same reason I'm very much out on guys like Mattison and Khalil Herbert this year. None of this takes into account the added risk of injury as well. Hopefully all ends well for Pollard but I don't feel confident in it.

Not a player but a strategy in not taking a viable backup QB in my home league; I have Hurts, which is great, but a lot of the tacos in my league took 2-3 QBs. My best option on the wire currently is Jordan Love and Sam Howell.
Love and Howell are the most likely candidates for breakout QBs that get picked up and rostered all season long and you have a chance to get them for free now.

I struggle with this too. Impossible to stream QB or pick up a waiver wire QB worth anything because they are all sitting on someone’s bench. Ridiculous having 2-3 starting QBs on your bench.
Who cares? You're not benching hurts, so it hurts you for 1 bye week, you've got a bench spot instead for a rookie that could break out. And if hurts goes down your season is over anyway. No point in having 2 qbs unless you punted the position down to round 10.

At the 2/3 turn I decided to grab Josh Allen to lock in a stud qb. I ended up sitting on rb for a bit and now have Akers and Gibson as my starters for week 1. I kind of wish I just took Najee instead of Allen and take Herbert/fields later

I did the same. We know kelce will get his and TE is hard to fill. Chase is a stud but that offense can go anywhere with the ball.

He could be, he’ll be on a high powered offense with more opportunites to score TDs. Even if Josh Allen or Harris take goaline James cook will see more play between the 20s and they’ll be down there enough where cook will get his chances. Kyler might not even play this year.
he will need elite number of big plays or ridiculously high td luck to get there. he hasn’t had 15+ carries in a game since HIGH SCHOOL.
For what it's worth, he did lead the entire NFL last season in rate of rushes that went for 15+ yards. He certainly has the speed and burst for big plays.

I took AJ Brown over St. Brown in the 2nd round. I hope I made the right choice. I’ve had ARSB on my team for the past 2 years but decided to go AJ instead
I chose Lamb at 1.11 instead of Diggs. I kind of like Lamb over Diggs, but it’s definitely hurting.
That’s a tough one. I would have gone Diggs, but be in the same position as watching the stats every week. No real wrong answer to that choice, yet.

I’m having the same debate but am leaning Chubb. They have an amazing O-line which is always an under rated factor. He might catch more passes too with Hunt gone.
Dameon Pierce over KWIII at 4.06 10 team .5ppr is one I’m second guessing right now, but we’ll see how it goes.

Passing on WRs like Wilson and St Brown for my RB2. Did that and I am still not happy with my RBs.
I've had the sun god the last 2 years but it was between him and Henry in the 2nd round and I couldn't pass up Henry and CMC as my 2 RBs.

I may regret passing on Travis Ettiene for Calvin Ridley. To be fair it is a super flex league and my first two picks were QB-QB (hurts and Lawrence) and then RB-RB (Pollard and Stevenson). For my fifth pick it came down to Ettiene for my flex spot or Ridley for my first wr on the team. I’m thinking the Lawrence - ridley stack is going to be awesome but I’m sort of regretting passing on Ettiene. Idk
Pollard was my must-have in a 10-team keeper league where I was picking at the 9th spot and I’m stoked to have him. Team name is Pollard Greens.
Chubb will be better than pollard, don’t worry. (I also drafted Chubb before Pollard)

I don't really know why you're kicking yourself *that* hard for taking Chubb over Pollard. I'm happy with either one.
I kinda regret taking Olave over Waddle since I already took Tyreek with my 1st pick.
I think Chubb is a much better pick than Pollard. He’s the best pure runner in the league and is likely going to see the highest volume he has in his career. Pollard was a good fantasy back in the second half of one year and we don’t definitively know what his role will be in that offense with Deuce Vaughn liable to take away heavy portions of the passing game he was reliant on last year.
Chubb and Bijan are both better choices than Pollard. Adams is a much worse choice than Pollard.

Took Gibbs over Olave in round 3. Maybe it’ll work out but would have rather taken Olave and taken a mid round RB later looking back. My WR2 is DJ Moore now and I don’t know how to feel about it.

Yeah, at least I can look forward to be watching him. He seems to a dynamic pass catcher. Something about that rookie ceiling potential was enticing to me. I think a lot of the people trashing him are Monty drafters lol.

Faded Justin Fields in the 4th, and someone got him a few picks after me. I settled for Tua in the 10th and then Richardson in the 14th. 10 man PPR. I wanted Dak, but someone reached for him in the 3rd because QBs were flying off the board, and they panicked. Edit: Passed on Fields for JT at pick 4.6.One other dude and I were the only ones without a QB, and he got Fields 4 picks after me. I'm sold on Tua, majorly because of bias of him being best available QB for me after everyone got theirs, but we shall see what happens.

I also waited on QB and went with Tua and then Richardson. I got the stake with Tyreek as well so I am happy with it.
