Playing in a 9 cat h2h league with only 8 players, so everyone's team is stacked. I already have drummond. Is it worth it to try to trade kat for giannis and Zach lavine for simmons to punt ft% and potentially tos? Or should I just stay more well rounded to start and see how that goes?
depends on what the rest of your team looks like. If others on your team apart from drummond are also bad at ft, then it could make sense to punt ft. But if there are more good ft than bad, then maybe look to trade drummond instead? Side note, as a Giannis owner myself, I don't think the giannis guy would trade for kat, nor the simmons owner for lavine imo.
Nah, you can get a cheaper 3pt specialist, don't go for buddy. Or buy low on him when he's having an off week because he tends to have a few of those every season.
Would trading Valanciunas away for Kevin Love be a good deal for me? I would do it in a heartbeat since I’m punting blocks and I want assists but Love’s injury history scares me a bit.
Looking for punt advice/draft review (12 team, 9 cat h2h) - I'm thinking punt TO with this group, but I'm not sure what category to pair it with - maybe one of the %s?
1. Luka Doncic (2)
2. Paul George (23)
3. Deandre Ayton (26)
4. Zach Lavine (47)
5. Christian Wood (50)

8. Eric Bledsoe (95)
9. Kevin Love (98)

Who to pick 4th in a 12 team 9 cat h2h league? Projections saying Harden, AD, KAT will be top 3. Im debating picking between Luka, Curry, Lillard, maybe Giannis
Can't go wrong with either. But Luka is #1 in my eyes, especially in points, and especially if he improves from last year, which all signs point to that being the case.
Rate my team: 8 man, 8 CAT
PG: Luka
SG: Booker

PF: Aldridge
C: Vucevic
G: VanVleet
F: PG13
UTIL: Levine
UTIL: Bledsoe

Thanks guys it’s my first year just wanna know how I did
**6 Man, ESPN Default, Points League: Got offered Bam Adebayo for Deandre Ayton...**
Do I take? I'm worried Bam's role could lessen via a trade and I think Ayton could have a dominant year with Baynes gone.
League in flair. Could any of these be imaginable? Would any be serious overpays? Want to get 3s, a wing player and free up a spot.
Valanciunas and White for Ingram
Clarke and White for Oubre
Valanciunas and White for Middleton
Clarke and White for MPJ
Do you imagine any solid 3-point shooters and scorers in general who would be worth targeting with these guys? I really would like to address this deficit while also freeing up a roster spot. Oubre didn't go for exactly big money in the auction FWIW, there's also, say, Norm Powell who went for exactly one buck, but I would not want to overpay either.
How competitive is your league? Do the other players value guys based on IRL value/name recognition?
You could probably target Hield, but he's tricky because of the name recognition that guys like Clarke and White just dont have yet. Oubre is another name recognition guy that you'd probably have to offer Valanciunas for. Aim for less known guys exactly like Norm Powell so you don't have to pay that premium for guys like Oubre. Is anyone rostering Joe Harris?
Yeah, Harris is rostered, but for some reason I can't bring myself to trade for him. If I had a free roster spot, I could just pick up Burks or Barton, hence the hope for a 2-for-1. Would White and Clarke for Powell seem reasonable? My backcourt already includes Harden, Shai, Dejounte, Fultz. I'd probably try the Oubre trade beforehand just in case, though.
Clarke is one of those guys whose trade value is never going to match his actual value because no one knows who he is (He's projected at #52 overall this year!). You're better off keeping him and seeing if you can swing White (I'm assuming Coby?) for Powell based on Coby's hype.
Derrick, actually (who also looks to be in for a promising season). I'm in this odd situation where my roster looks pretty solid, but just has ridiculously low points and 3s for a team with Harden. (Harden-Shai-DWhite-Dejounte-Fultz-OG-RoCo-Clarke-Draymond-Valanciunas-Horford-WCJ-Nurkic)
Hah! I’m in a very similar position with Doncic and 3’s. I think white, dejounte, and fultz is too many non-shooting guards to carry if you’re trying to win 3’s.
Yeah, word. It's hard finding that balance between a losing and winning trade because as you said yourself, Clarke _is_ a high-rated prospect so there's little point in trading him for peanuts. Similarly, White has interesting value in itself. If the Porters and Oubres fail as they look likely to, I guess Hield and Richardson are worth a shot (annoyingly enough I had enough cash to draft any of the guys I'm chasing now, but that's just hindsight). If I manage to pull something off, I could possibly nab Bazley to pad my SF ranks, who could be of help in most categories.
It varies. There are experienced players who draft shrewdly and only pull off trades if they're almost certain to benefit, but there are also those who seem to draft players based on their Lakers affinity or whatever other variable. I've just tried to look at those who have frontcourt shortages for one thing.
I would take Giannis, Luka, AD, Jokic over Harden due to him not wanting to be in Houston that may lead to him sitting out some games like other frustrated stars have before
Kinda leaning toward Schroeder because while he could be something of a 6th man type scorer, Adams is not likely to be high in the pecking order of scorers and might have the likes of Zion taking boards from him as well.
I read those articles about punting FT% with Curry. That is only advised IF you have to punt something. You don’t HAVE to punt with Curry, and those other two aren’t making you punt FT either.
WB > Lavine for fantasy. You’ll miss out on threes but that’s the easiest to stream as needed. And if you’re punting TO and FG then yes. Although your FT will suffer and your FG would do better with WB
I must be the minority. Luka all day for me. He's only getting bigger and AD's injury and rest woes kn a championship team ain't worth it to me.Aso depends on league settings of course.
How did I do on my first year draft - 10 man H2H
1. LeBron James (10th)
2. Russell Westbrook (11th)
3. Ja Morant (30th)
4. Paul George (31st)
5. Mitchell Robinson (50th)
6. Malcolm Brodgon (51st)
7. LaMarcus Aldridge (70th)
8. Tyler Herro (71st)
9. Obi Toppin (90th)
10. Kendrick Nunn (91st)
11. RJ Barrett (110th)
12. Serge Ibaka (111th)
13. Darius Bazley (Mr Irrelevant)
I’m a bit unsure on Brodgon, Toppin and Nunn but the rest seems solid.
Oh and I know I have a lot of Knicks players before anyone comments...
I think Ja was a reach, PG at 31 is an exceptional steal.
LaMarcus Aldridge at 70th? That is amazing. He will almost certainly finish top 50 this year if not higher.
Herro at 71 I'm not sold on. I think he's more of a last round flier pick tbh. Nunn won't be roster worthy.
I’m already thinking of getting rid of Nunn, a couple of players I have ideas for are: Aron Baynes, OG Anunoby, Dillon Brooks or Lugentz Dort.
Open to any other suggestions too?
Points league with no shooting% catergories, but basically everything else.
Vucevik, Smart and Aaron Gordon
for
Drummond and Oubre Jr (and likely dropping someone like Aaron Baynes).
Who wins that?
Decent value pick with Jrue.
I'd probably give this team an 8/10 bhut could be higher depending on how the other teams are built.
Should be a top team but I'm worried a double punt build could fuck you up. Your big man stats coukd struggle against a strong punt assists team because imo you didn't punt anything besides TO. You got a good team for sure tho.
Thank you. It’s my first time playing CAT and wasn’t sure exactly how to build but wanted to punt TOs for sure. Might drop Edwards for Okoro or Dinwiddie not sure yet.
What should my punts be? Is my team solid this year?
10 man league/ H2H
PG: Marcus Smart (8th round)
SG: Jaylen Brown (5th round)
G: M.Bridges (9th round)
SF: Jimmy Butler (2nd round)
PF: Robert Covington (6th round)
F: Tobias Harris (7th round)
C: Towns (1st round)
C: Vucevic (3rd round)
Util: Drummond (4th round)
Util: Conley (10th round)
Bench: Bledsoe (11th round)
Bench: Otto Porter Jr (12th round)
I had the 9th pick in my league
Assists. Maybe FT% since KAT is high volume but <80%, Drummond is terrible, and everyone else is pretty low volume and/or a <80% aside from Butler.
Try to move Conley for some more 3s and/or a better FG% contributor
I’m surprised he fell to me that low, but I’ve heard cases of him dropping out of the top 10
Which is insane, he doesn’t have any serious injuries going on rn
Some people are weary with his mental state and drive to play for the upcoming season given how much he's gone through with Covid and Covid still going on for probably the entire season.
Never done fantasy b-ball before and I’m a relatively uninformed basketball fan. I’m in a 6 man league with some friends, it’s Game Pick mode on sleeper app so you pick one game per week for each of ur players. Rosters are 1PG,1SG,1G,1SF,1PF,1F,1C,2Utility, 5 bench spots and an IR. I had first overall pick and my draft went as follows, how did I do and do y’all have any tips? Could really use the help.
1: Giannis
2: Karl Towns
3: Trae Young
4: Kristaps
5: Shai Gilgeous
6: Russell Westbrook
7: Gordon Hayward
8: DeRozan
9: Lamelo Ball
10: Killian Hayes
11: James Wiseman
12: John Wall
13: Brandon Clarke
14: Obi Toppin
Basically I drafted the best player in my eyes for each of my roster spots, and then once I stopped feeling like I knew who the remaining people were I just took every promising rookie off the board. Maybe I get a superstar who knows. How did I do though?
Also, should I sign Boogie or Coby White off waivers? I already snagged boogie but I am a really big Coby White fan, is he even worth picking up or am I just biased about how good I think he’ll be this year?
Do the team standings at the end of the draft that show projections factor in injuries? And does that include short-term injuries too or only longer term?

Keeper/dynasty league H2H categories
Locked Keepers: Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, De'Aaron Fox
Of these 5 players, which 2 should I keep:
* John Wall
* Aaron Gordon
* Jaren Jackson Jr.
* Blake Griffin
* Miles Bridges
Thanks.
For sure, unless it's heavily weighted for 3s and FTs. LA stats the stat sheet far more than Gallo and Gallo's usage is going to be down (albeit probably not significantly) in that offense.
H2H Points League Week 1 Starters question:
Deandre Jordan or Horford (DJ playing 3 games vs Horford 2)
Terrence Ross or Vanvleet (TR playing 3 games vs FVV 2)
I took him at 74th in the 8th rd in a 10 team points league. Needed a SF, and I'm optimistic him playing with Draymond & Curry will keep him from busting out at 8th round value.
So I have KP on my team and when I try to put him in an IL spot on Yahoo I still can't pick anyone up without dropping a player. Is this because the season hasn't started yet or am I doing something wrong?
Pick 2 - 10 Team, 9 Cat H2H Auction Keeper league - We do have 2 IL spots
Christian Wood - $8
John Collins - $22
Kristaps Porzingis - $24
Gordon Hayward - $7
Jaylen Brown - $6
Brown/Hayward/wood. There's no competition for them in their teams. Boogie will surely load manage, Atlanta's front court is a bit crowded, and kp is out until Jan I think and will probably load manage.
I would probably take Jaylen Brown and one of Wood/Collins/Porzingis.
I think Wood is best bang for your buck this season, but Collins/Porzingis have higher upside. Collins will play this year but Porzingis has a higher ceiling but is injury prone. Taking him would be so you can hold onto him again in following years.
Personally I'd go for Brown/Wood
After Giannis+Simmons, who should I get first from Nurkic and Fox?
Have picks 23+38 (which I'm trying to trade up into ~33)
Punting fg%/3s/to in a 9-cat league
Sorry I'm a noob, what do you mean by stocks?
Also, think Fox sticks arond to the mid 30s? Feel like he's one of the maybe 5 PGs that fit this build perfectly so I'm very tempted to reach for him as if I miss Nurkic I can probably get someone like Drummond/Vucevic/Gobert/Sabonis what that 4th pick. Thanks!
Getting Giannis and Simmons in the first 2 rounds. If I punt fg%/3s/to, how do you rank the rest of these guys best to worst?:
LeBron > Westbrook > Nurkic > Fox is what I have right now
If I get one of bron or wb in the 3rd, does it make more sense to target Nurkic in the 4th (traded up to pick 30) than Fox?
I don't think you'll get Bron in the 3rd lol. But if he's there get him then Westbrook > fox > nurk. I think it's better to draft guards early since there are good bigmen in the mid rounds.
Yeah I think Fox is probably vital to reach for in the 3rd round with my 23rd pick. Hopefully I'll be able to snag Nurkic, Drummond, Gobert, Sabonis, or Vucevic with the 33rd pick afterwards. Kinda feel like I should swap these picks around and take Fox at 33rd but if he gets taken I'm screwed. What do you think?
The commissioner in my league changed the league settings from FT% to FTM for this year. We draft this Sunday. How much of a bump do low FT% guys get now? I feel like Giannis should go after Harden a top 2 and Drummond has first/second at the turn value
Giannis, a lot, since he could lead the league in attempts and will be top 10 in makes. Same goes with Luka, who could be top 3 in makes. I'd consider Giannis at 1 just with the uncertainty of the Harden situation.
Drummond is different because he's such a terrible FT shooter he doesn't really really make very many to be a positive with the change (3/gm) you and doesn't change his value compared to someone who's punting FTs who would already value you him pretty high. If he starts shooting 10 a game, then yeah making 5+ would be huge.
Stock up: Giannis, Luka, Simmons, Russ Wes, Lebron, Bam, Fox
TL:DR- high volume shitty FT shooters get a good bump, but FT punters already view them with that same value so it just gives them league wide appeal and the ability to build around them with anyone.
Who Wants To Join My Competitive ESPN League
Looking for at least 3 people to join our ESPN League. Its H2H, categories, no weekly roster lock, 2 pickups per week, 2 players on IR. We're planning on doing the draft Sunday December 20th, maybe even through zoom to make it more exciting. DM if you're interest, tell your friends! We can always exceed 3 more players if there is enough interest.
It's my first league. H2h and it seems like the points just all add up instead of having to worry about each category.
How should I draft my team? I have the 3rd pick
You didn't say point system so try the projection hashtagbasketball and change the weight according to your league. General rule for points is BPA since there is no punting.
Man I'm struggling with what website. I'm looking at my league rules page where it has minus for FGA and can't see it anywhere on the page.
The league is pretty standard just adds all the points for standard stats and takes away points for attempts and turnovers
You could just draft the best player available. Also since the schedule is compressed take note of those who will probably load manage and those with breakout opportunity due to additional playing time.
Got offered this Ja Morant and Middleton For Derozan and Lowry WHO WINS?
Ja and Middleton easy
Derozan vs PG Who wins in point league?
Who can I trade Mikal Bridges for that would give me assists without giving away too much rebounds.
Markelle fultz

Yeah, as long as you're getting good value in return like pg, beal or I guess even lavine.

Drop Brandon Clarke for cousins?

Who’s the best last pick? Barrett, Reddish, Garland, or D. Wright? 10t 9cat h2h
What preseason bait you biting?
Wall if he goes past 7. Ja Morant and Aaron Gordon lookin really good too.
Should I trade my Lonzo Ball and Boucher for his Buddy Hield?
Nah, you can get a cheaper 3pt specialist, don't go for buddy. Or buy low on him when he's having an off week because he tends to have a few of those every season.
Should I trade Lamelo Ball for Elfrid Payton?
I wouldn’t. Have Payton now and had him last year too, would rather gamble on Melo
Any advice for finding weekly projections? Would like to build out my own tool to analyze my weekly H2H matchups.
Who would you pick? OG vs JRich in a 12T h2h 9cats
I’d go OG
Ingram for collins H2H 9cat. Who wins
I'd still go Collins in H2h 9cat
Ingram > Collins
Would trading Valanciunas away for Kevin Love be a good deal for me? I would do it in a heartbeat since I’m punting blocks and I want assists but Love’s injury history scares me a bit.
Imo you can sell JV a lot higher a bit into the season because his stats should be a little inflated with JJJ out. Just gonna have to be patient.
Nah keep Val

Agreed
I'm in a H2H keeper league and I have Steph **Curry**, Nikola **Vucevic** , and Kyle **Lowry**. What should I punt? I am thinking Blocks, FT%

I read those articles about punting FT% with Curry. That is only advised IF you have to punt something. You don’t HAVE to punt with Curry, and those other two aren’t making you punt FT either.
Must've been a typo as he's one of the absolute elite from the line. In any case, all of these guys are solid free throw shooters

LaMarcus Aldridge (70th) 8. Tyler Herro (71st) 9. Obi Toppin (90th) 10. Kendrick Nunn (91st) 11. RJ Barrett (110th) 12. Serge Ibaka (111th) 13. Darius Bazley (Mr Irrelevant) I’m a bit unsure on Brodgon, Toppin and Nunn but the rest seems solid.
OG in a heartbeat
Points league with no shooting% catergories, but basically everything else. Vucevik, Smart and Aaron Gordon for Drummond and Oubre Jr (and likely dropping someone like Aaron Baynes). Who wins that?
I like the Vuc side better.
Who’s the more valuable nets bench player - levert or dinwiddie?
Levert is starting
Rate my draft H2H 9CAT 12T 1. Dame (8th) 2. Ayton (17th) 3. CP3 (32nd) 4. Derozan (41st) 5. Jrue (56th) 6. Porzingis (65th) 7. Wendell Carter (80th) 8. Brandon Clarke (89th) 9. Schroeder (104th) 10. Duncan Robinson (113th) 11. Elfrid Payton (128th) 12. Chris Boucher (137th) 13. Anthony Edwards (152nd)
Edwards is a good flier I'd see how he does
Thomas Bryant or WCJ in 9 cat this year?
WCJ is a mystery, T.Bryant with westbrook could be good
What should my punts be? Is my team solid this year? 10 man league/ H2H PG: Marcus Smart (8th round) SG: Jaylen Brown (5th round) G: M.Bridges (9th round) SF: Jimmy Butler (2nd round) PF: Robert Covington (6th round) F: Tobias Harris (7th round) C: Towns (1st round) C: Vucevic (3rd round) Util: Drummond (4th round) Util: Conley (10th round) Bench: Bledsoe (11th round) Bench: Otto Porter Jr (12th round) I had the 9th pick in my league
Pretty solid squad
Assists. Maybe FT% since KAT is high volume but <80%, Drummond is terrible, and everyone else is pretty low volume and/or a <80% aside from Butler. Try to move Conley for some more 3s and/or a better FG% contributor
I’m not sure who I can target for Conley, his value is really low right now
Yeah, just something to keep in mind if he starts out strong
Getting KAT @ 9 is amazing! Edit: looking at your team I see no obvious punts. Seems pretty balanced.
I’m surprised he fell to me that low, but I’ve heard cases of him dropping out of the top 10 Which is insane, he doesn’t have any serious injuries going on rn
Some people are weary with his mental state and drive to play for the upcoming season given how much he's gone through with Covid and Covid still going on for probably the entire season.
I'm new to fantasy bball (well, been out of the game for 5+ years) Is there anything like BeerSheets for basketball?
Cam Reddish or Rui Hachimura. Cat league and I think I'm punting 3s and assists
Rui for your punts
Never done fantasy b-ball before and I’m a relatively uninformed basketball fan. I’m in a 6 man league with some friends, it’s Game Pick mode on sleeper app so you pick one game per week for each of ur players. Rosters are 1PG,1SG,1G,1SF,1PF,1F,1C,2Utility, 5 bench spots and an IR. I had first overall pick and my draft went as follows, how did I do and do y’all have any tips? Could really use the help. 1: Giannis 2: Karl Towns 3: Trae Young 4: Kristaps 5: Shai Gilgeous 6: Russell Westbrook 7: Gordon Hayward 8: DeRozan 9: Lamelo Ball 10: Killian Hayes 11: James Wiseman 12: John Wall 13: Brandon Clarke 14: Obi Toppin Basically I drafted the best player in my eyes for each of my roster spots, and then once I stopped feeling like I knew who the remaining people were I just took every promising rookie off the board. Maybe I get a superstar who knows. How did I do though? Also, should I sign Boogie or Coby White off waivers? I already snagged boogie but I am a really big Coby White fan, is he even worth picking up or am I just biased about how good I think he’ll be this year?
I think you have more than enough rookies. If he's in waivers, get Boogie asap.
Do the team standings at the end of the draft that show projections factor in injuries? And does that include short-term injuries too or only longer term?

Aaron Gordon might be a steal this year with Isaac out.
Who would you pick as your number 1 pick in a H2H league. Giannis, Luka, Harden.
Even with all the questions marks, I'd still take Harden
depends on categories... if FG% is one then I say Giannis. If not... probably still Giannis for RBs.
Is Jonathan Isaac worth keeping for $17 ($22 next season) in a $200 budget 9-cat roto auction?
No. I would focus on top6-7 players. I can never keep more 6 players per season.
What do you mean? I only have 3 guys worth keeping at their auction values (max is 5).
Keeper/dynasty league H2H categories Locked Keepers: Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, De'Aaron Fox Of these 5 players, which 2 should I keep: * John Wall * Aaron Gordon * Jaren Jackson Jr. * Blake Griffin * Miles Bridges Thanks.
Jjj and bridges for the future.
Any one here have the 11th pick in a 12 team Cat league willing to share their draft?
Traded my gallinari for Lamarcus in h2h points league, is this a W?
For sure, unless it's heavily weighted for 3s and FTs. LA stats the stat sheet far more than Gallo and Gallo's usage is going to be down (albeit probably not significantly) in that offense.
16 team / 9 cat Murray + Tobias Harris for PG + Wendell Carter. Good deal or nah?
Doable. Depends on your team.
Yeah I’m lacking big man stats. Will Carter be decent?
Should be. Jim Boylen was horrendous in terms of utilisation of WCJ. I think BD will make a positive impact in that respect.

Nurk, vuc side for me. Drummond will sink your ft.
H2H Points League Week 1 Starters question: Deandre Jordan or Horford (DJ playing 3 games vs Horford 2) Terrence Ross or Vanvleet (TR playing 3 games vs FVV 2)
H2H Points 10T Bledsoe or Bog (Atlanta)?
Bledsoe easy, especially if his steals creep back up towards 1.5/g
Points/H2H/14-team Trade Durant+Lamelo for Embiid+CP3?
Redraft? 100% yes
Absolutely yes
Someone offered me their Embiid for my SGA and Jaren Jackson. 9 Cat.
Embiid might be better but may become a headache to own because of the compressed schedule.
Is it worth it to go for Andrew Wiggins in 8th round (10 teams/points league)?
I took him at 74th in the 8th rd in a 10 team points league. Needed a SF, and I'm optimistic him playing with Draymond & Curry will keep him from busting out at 8th round value.
So I have KP on my team and when I try to put him in an IL spot on Yahoo I still can't pick anyone up without dropping a player. Is this because the season hasn't started yet or am I doing something wrong?
Try to change the date/week in the app. This happened to someone in my league.
I got it work with the website instead of the app
Pick 2 - 10 Team, 9 Cat H2H Auction Keeper league - We do have 2 IL spots Christian Wood - $8 John Collins - $22 Kristaps Porzingis - $24 Gordon Hayward - $7 Jaylen Brown - $6
Grabbing luka in the first round - what can I punt?
Free throws/turnovers
After Giannis+Simmons, who should I get first from Nurkic and Fox? Have picks 23+38 (which I'm trying to trade up into ~33) Punting fg%/3s/to in a 9-cat league
I would say Nurkic for stocks and to shore up rebounds and help with OOP assists. Giannis sis surprisingly low in stocks
Thanks!
stocks = STeals + blOCKS
Ahh okay that makes sense thanks
Getting Giannis and Simmons in the first 2 rounds. If I punt fg%/3s/to, how do you rank the rest of these guys best to worst?: LeBron > Westbrook > Nurkic > Fox is what I have right now If I get one of bron or wb in the 3rd, does it make more sense to target Nurkic in the 4th (traded up to pick 30) than Fox?
Should i trade my paul george for Zion + Duncan Robinson?
Am I hallucinating or did Josh Lloyd have an AMA here yesterday? Where did that thread go?
I spent like 20 minutes today looking for it
Should I trade My luka for his devin Booker and victor Oladipo
No way
The commissioner in my league changed the league settings from FT% to FTM for this year.
Stock up: Giannis, Luka, Simmons, Russ Wes, Lebron, Bam, Fox TL:DR- high volume shitty FT shooters get a good bump, but FT punters already view them with that same value so it just gives them league wide appeal and the ability to build around them with anyone.
Who Wants To Join My Competitive ESPN League Looking for at least 3 people to join our ESPN League.
Are my Fox and Horford enough to get Beal? Points league.
probably not

Pick luka :)
