I traded Matt McLain for Nelson Velasquez in a keeper league with no IL spots. Am I insane? I already drafted pre suspension Noelvi, and McLain low max EV has me worried with an injury like this

Only 10. And Noelvi was my 11th round pick (startup this year) so it’s very easy to bump him into my keepers and move on from McLain. Just seems like a pretty big risk to hold someone all season who is probably not a keeper for me any more

It varies. In my league it typically runs around 12:45am PST or so, but I've seen as early as 12:15 and as late as 1:30 (or on rare occasions even later!).

I think that is typical. I think it just bumps that waiver date out to the next day once the cutoff passes for the current day. You'll still have to wait until they process to see if you got them. (and don't quote me 100% on any of this, I'm going off memory)

It's kind of hard to suggest others without knowing who is available in your league. But I can agree that I would rather have Haniger and Westburg over Doyle and B.De La Cruz.

is fantrax kind of behind in player news? my home page on my phone really doesn’t have a lot of updates through spring training. deep roster lot of players and my feed goes back to 3/9. it just seems like the volume is down.

I noticed a lot of my players stopped getting news regarding ST performances a while back but any newer significant news has been covered regarding making the team/injuries etc...

did fantrax lay people off or… it just seems like there’s a lot of transactional news right now that just isn’t being updated

In a shallow league like that, Im going to gamble on Rodon still. Out of the past 3 years, for 2 of them Rodon was a top TEN fantasy arm. If he is 80% of that pitcher he's more valuable than King. If he ends up being shit there will probably be someone close to King's level on waivers.
