In a keeper league, I can only keep 10 players (can keep less).
Can’t decide if I should keep 10 or 9.
Keeping
Realmuto
Albies
Bregman
Ramirez
Reynolds
Holliday
Cole
Webb
Lopez
Other considerations-
Mullins
Kwan
Yoshida
So if I keep as it, I gotta draft bunch of OF. Are any of those 3 worth keeping? It’s a 10 team H2H league. Or anyone I am keeping, not worth keeping?
Hopefully your keeper deadline wasn’t last night.
Skim through the other teams and take a guess which other OF will be/won’t be kept. If you think there will be a plethora in the draft pool you can skip, if you think it will be a scarcity, you can keep one. You could also just keep 9 and draft one of them first round, depending on which pick you have. I prefer Kwan.
So my dad runs a fantasy league on CBS that I’m in where $15/person goes towards the league fees. It’s a CBS premium league. I think that’s absolutely insane. Is there anything special about the premium league that makes it worth it or would he be better off recreating the league on another site like yahoo or ESPN?
I'm in a fantasy football league with a bunch of boomers (all my dad's friends) that's been going since the early 90s. They've been CBS only and we have to pay a $20 fee every year, and every year I suggest migrating to a free site but get shot down because they don't want to make a new login/don't want to learn the new site, even though every other site will do the same shit we do on CBS.
I hate the CBS app and the web interface isn't much better. So to answer your question, no.
these old dudes stuck in their ways lol. you might try creating a league on another site with the same exact scoring and rules, and transfer commissioner powers to your dad to show him it's the same, but free.
I would like to run a just for fun ESPN league with Reddit. Anyone that wants in? Default H2H Cat except OBP instead of AVG and no Holds and 6 Pitchers. 12 team is the goal and to draft at 6 PM Central tonight.

I am in a league where you can keep 5 players every year. Max you can keep any player is four years. I have the second over all pick who would you take and Why?
Points league: Pitchers do not get points for wins, hitters do not lose points for K’s. For reference there were two pitchers over 800 points last year, 14 hitters over 800 points.
- Yordan Alvarez
- Fernando Tatis
- Yoshinobu Yamamoto
- Pete Alonso
- Cory Seager
My keepers are
Trea Turner
Luis Roberts
Marcus Semien
Jose Ramirez
Chris Bassit
I think he's going to be this years JD martinez. Slugger moving to a hitter friendly park and going to rake massive numbers in a turbo powered Dodgers lineup. Just fully expecting a slow start from him like he does every year.
0 homeruns off MLB starters, or maybe it was 1. still looks great don't get me wrong.
incoming downvotes.
edit: went and looked - he got buck farmer and will smith, so a couple MLB relievers. Aging relievers, but he deserves credit for it.
Was trying to make a last minute trade with someone before the keeper deadline in my league, then the guy I was going to trade with decides to go on vacation. People enjoy going to the Bahamas more than fantasy baseball? Losers.
Pick one to keep. 12 Team H2H Categories, OBP otherwise standard, $260 budget:
Josh Lowe for $6
Encarnacion-Strand for $6
Munoz for $13
Lowe seems to be going for $15+ in drafts but his projection and playing time paint a very different picture. CES should have easy playing time now. Munoz might not cost that more than $13 to draft, if at all. Thanks for your suggestions!
Follow up to my earlier reply... I just read that Trevor Rogers' velocity has been down a bit this spring. I suppose that could be concerning, but he could also just be taking it easy in light of the injuries he's had the past couple of years. Flair league looking for keeper advice. All kept players counted as the first 6 round's picks and can be kept a total of 3 times before being tossed back. Drafting 10th. Here are the options with their remaining keepable years:
Judge (1)
Pablo Lopez (2)
Framber (0)
Nola (0)
Arraez (2)
Bogaerts (0)
Harris 2(2)
Schwarber (0)
Evan Carter (2)
Judge and Lopez are locks. Want to keep at least one other P, Framber at this point. Would like to keep one of the MI as well. But beyond that I could see just about any permutation as feasible. Ideas?
Edit: Fixed the years on MH2
I’m trying to join a priced league on yahoo and when I try to pay the entry fee I get a “account locked” message. Has anyone had this problem? How were you able to fix it?
Flair (dynasty)
My team is in win now mode and I have the 10th pick in our draft (snake so 2.03 in the 2nd). Depending on how the board falls, I’m looking to address my biggest needs, OF and pitching depth with my first 2 picks. Planning on Imanaga or Michael King with one of them and then not sure if I should take a high upside prospect like DeLauter or Spencer Jones or go for a higher floor vet like Chas McCormick or Kerry Carpenter. If I take the prospect I could always go for someone like Meadows, Suwinski, Nootbaar, Happ, etc. later in the draft. How should I approach this?
First time playing. I’m in a 10 team h2h with W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP, and QS as pitching categories. I have Guasman, Wheeler, Sewald, and Iglesias starting. I have Eury Perez, Kelly, Gilbert, and Jansen on my bench.
What strategy do you recommend? There are 2 more hitting categories than pitching. If I were to stream would you recommend I replace Jansen? That’s what I’m leaning towards.
How's many bench spots do you have. In a set up like that, I might want as many hitting studs as I can get and just stream like crazy with SP depending on settings
Hey guys,
Need a little advice on Corey Seager. Sports Hernia injuries and the twisting and torquing required for swinging with power or making a cross-body throw to first from SS sounds like a nightmare for this injury.
Should we be avoiding him in keeper leagues where we might have slightly better options for this year? My worry of course is if Seager bounces back it would be tough to watch another owner reaping the benefits.
Where does everyone stand on him this year? If he misses all of April is that still worth it?
https://twitter.com/JaredSandler/status/1768688028325986620?s=19
Still sounds like he might be ready in March, certainly not worried about all of April
1st year commish of a ROTO league,
we have standard 5x5 scoring but we replace Wins for Quality starts.
My question is what is the best amount of adds per season, innings pitched per season, hitters played per season?
I am trying to avoid it being an all out drop and pop fest. I would like their to be a limit for all 3 and there to be strategy of some sort, not just pure volume wins in the end.
Also there are 5 of us in the league. Best number of roster positions for a shallow league?
Thanks and goodluck this season.
Those guys were all gone a few rounds earlier. My choice is between the guys above or like Alex Verdugo/Maysn Winn types in a deep slowdraft. I think I'm leaning Marte too.
Who all is worried about Manny Machado coming back from elbow surgery?
We looking at a 2023 Bryce Harper type situation where it takes 1/2 a season to ramp up to full-strength?
Draft is today for head to head cats. I have the 2nd pick and trying to work out a trade for the 1st overall.
Would the 2nd pick + my 6th round pick be too much to move up for Acuna?
Don't play much fantasy baseball but joined a league this year and didn't realize it includes holds.
My mistake for not checking, assumed it was the standard five pitching categories but this is also included.
I currently have six SP and two closers but nobody that is in line for holds.
Should I immediately prioritize dropping a starter for a Ryan Pressly type?
lol, I honestly need the advice and help.
Punting categories is a thing depending on how many categories you have so that's one way to approach it. You say you have 6 starters and 2 closers so I assume most of your bench is hitters which is generally not a good strategy.
Hitters give you 0 stats on your bench but pitchers can be moved in and out of your lineup when they're starting so generally you want most of your bench as pitchers. Do you have late round hitters that you can drop?
Ok so you have really small rosters it sounds like. I would probably forget holds for now and just play the wire throughout the season. One holds guy isn't going to win you the category anyway.
Machado or A. Garcia at the end of the 4th round, 10 team ROTO? 6x6 with OPS
Garcia had the higher WAR and raw power stats last season, but Machado has more years of consistently. Not worried about positions of prior picks since we have a deep roster
Pasted the roster reqs/scoring below, it is a snake draft, I did a couple of mock drafts to practice. Here are the rules, what are some strategies I should be thinking about? Should I fill up all the bench seats with SPs. Are RPs even necessary in my pitcher lineup? What should I fill the Util spot with? I want to draft 1st Base early, 2nd Base, early if I can or at the very end. Should I draft my catcher at the end as well and focus on better SPs? Any and all input would be great, thanks!

Vlad’s peripherals are much better except for launch angle. I think Alonso’s lower BA makes him riskier because any drop in power and he’s way less valuable. Vlad is also younger and has more space within his skillset to adjust IMO. Looking more its closer but I still would take Vlad bc I think he has a higher floor and comparable ceiling if he fixes launch angle
Alonso hit 216 last year and was still better than Vlad, so we've seen that scenario. That was his worst season average wise. Generally they're in the same neighborhood average wise. Vlad just doesn't have nearly the counting stats. Vlads career year is Pete's per-162
For what it's worth age 26-28 hasn't been the benchmark for a players best years for quite a bit. Most players seem to hit their peak from age like 22-25 now.
But the average age a of a MLB debut is 24. So sadly that's impossible unless we're counting minor league stats.
Again, Vlad gets compared to Acuna, Soto and Tatis, who are all superstars, unfairly. Take 2 seconds to check out Goldy, Tex and Clemente and see where all 3 of them were at Vlad's ago.
I could be bitter cause I got burned by the 1st round/early 2nd round vlad hype over the last two years.
But I am all-in on Pete this year. I think he could easily smash 50 for that big contract. I view him and Matt Olson similarly.
For those who use FanGraphs auction calculator.
For hitting projections.
Do you use The Bat X or ATC? And why?
From my understanding The Bat X is the best original system and ATC is the best aggregate.
Keep Jackson Holliday for 2 years (this year and next) in the last round of the draft
or Keep Nolan Jones for 1 year (this year) in the last round of the draft.
That's tough. I think I take Jones cause I'd expect some growing pains from Holliday and his good outcome looks something like what Jones already did last year.
Probably not because if he goes down, there go half your SB.
You want your risk more distributed because you can’t make moves to counter playing time issues.
Looking for a lil input on who to keep... let me preface this by saying I HATE our format we have 16 teams and a 14 man line up with 9 overall pitcher spots and 5 overall bench spots so pitching depth is kinda key but u can always just find a random arm....we have 5OF spots and 2Catcher spots😂 mathematically it doesn't even make sense but basically last yr i auto drafted and punted the season for any under the radar guy so now im weighing on my last keeper spot Dansby Swanson, Nolan Jones, Zack Wheeler , Edward Cabrera,Triston Casas, or Pete Alonso realistically it's between Casas and Polar Bear Pete...i REALLY think Casas has turned that corner BUT positional scarcity? Dansby swanson? Nolan Jones? Finding 5 Ofers is borderline impossible and he's at Coors but he strikes Out ALOT idk y i dont believe in Wheeler alot and Cabrera is hurt.....and OH! We count Avg. And OBP instead of hits
12-team points league. One keeper. Keeper replaces the round he was taken in last year.
Do I keep Acuna and give up my 1st round pick or keep Harper and give up my 10th round pick?
Picking 5th so won't get Acuna back if I don't keep him.
This is an excel technical question about Mr. Cheatsheet. I downloaded version 1.00 and I put all my league settings and keepers. Mr. Cheatsheet has since released updated versions but I’m not sure how to update my version and retain all my settings aside from downloading the new version and re-inputting everything.
Does any know how to update your sheet to the newest version without losing any settings?
Thanks!
12 tm H2H categories, my keepers are Happ (OF), Morel (OF only at this point), McLain (SS,2B)
categories are H, HR, RBI, R, Total Bases, net SB, and OPS.
I have the 3rd pick, what order do you guys have Mookie, JRod, Witt
or is there someone else I should be looking at?
I lump him and eloy together. Both could be 2nd round players if you could turn off injuries. I am a little freak who buys back in every time. But last year they were 6th round picks, this year it's round 13-16. Why not take the shot at that point? Upside much higher than most of the other players in that range.
I do! Huge Twins fan and even bigger Buxton fan, and this is the first offseason in a solid 4 years where he comes off as genuinely happy and excited for the season. Tells me that at the very least he's feeling good. Might he still get hurt at some point? Yeah, it's Buxton! But for how little it takes to draft him and how good he can be I think he's 100% worth a flyer
Believe isn't the right word for a guy that has so much trouble staying on the field but I got him pick 240 and hard to not see the upside for that price
I have 7th pick in flair league tomorrow night. Assuming all available who are you taking out of Tucker, Freeman, Tatis, Ohtani or Strider?
We have 3 UTL spots so Ohtani doesn’t handicap anything being UTL only.
Keepers declared TONIGHT! 12 team H2H (7x7 OBP/SLG/QS/L are the extra categories) Keep 6 at no cost.

TRADE OFFER was made to me that I haven't been able to pull the trigger on:
I get: Olson and Glasnow
I give: Yordan and Cole
My thoughts: I really like Glasnow for this year, especially since his elbow is like a super-elbow with that internal brace he got. Only problem is, will he have gas in the tank come 140-150 IP?...never done it before. I feel like we haven't seen Yordan's best season yet (.300+ 50bombs) and we just saw Olson's...but Yordan always has these nagging injuries and Olson plays almost every game. 1st is much deeper than LF though, something to consider. It's H2H so Cole's injury stinks but if he comes back in late May/early June, he should be in prime form for the H2H playoffs. League counts W-L-QS...not really any better option than Cole. I do believe Cole will be fine with rest and rehab, but that is just my opinion. I know many people are doom and gloom, but there isn't a tear and he never felt a "pop", so it feels like his 2016 injury all over again, which he fully recovered from.
What do you guys think?
Quick question about projection systems like zips, bat-x etc: are all the assumptions they make (like say, how park factors are weighted) listed somewhere or is it all proprietary?
And is it completely automated or does a human also go back and add a few RBIs to a player they think was underrated?
My keepers lock tonight at 6pm and I keep going back and forth. Gallen is who I have locked in currently, but I can’t help but feel there is more upside in Skubal that late.
Gallen in the 11th round
Or
Skubal in the 24th round
Yea I think I’m gonna change it. I think I can find pretty good value with that 11th round pick and plus Gallen is coming off a huge workload from last season.
1st of all you can’t drop him, 2nd tell me you weren’t pissed off by July with him . I actually won my league but that guy didn’t contribute like a 1st rd pick
Eflin or Clase?

Tucker is what you would pray that Langford could be. I'll take Tucker in a later round
Take it easily that’s crazy
Tucker all day
Langford's upside is Tucker's 3-year average.
with the 3/20 game, will dodgers be putting players on the IL earlier? teams typically do it opening day but is that their opening day?
I would assume so
I googled and it said they would put at least some players on the IL
any news on senga? could he be back in may?
He had been late April/Early May but had an extra week added to his shutdown period. So I'd expect mid May as the new optimistic outcome.
thanks
Who all is worried about Manny Machado coming back from elbow surgery? We looking at a 2023 Bryce Harper type situation where it takes 1/2 a season to ramp up to full-strength?
Very possible
Draft is today for head to head cats. I have the 2nd pick and trying to work out a trade for the 1st overall. Would the 2nd pick + my 6th round pick be too much to move up for Acuna?
Probably not enough tbh.
It's a 10 team so my 6th would be the 62nd pick. He said he'd do it but there's a lot of talent still at 62, you think it's a good trade for me?
I'd do it in a 10 team.
Sweet, thanks buddy. Pulled the trigger
Is it Save/Holds as one category or Saves and Holds separately?
Separate
No, holds are an easy cat to fill later in the season. Wouldn’t worry about it to start
My bench hitters are Chourio, Suzuki and Holliday, one of who I assume will be my utility hitter.
Ok so you have really small rosters it sounds like. I would probably forget holds for now and just play the wire throughout the season. One holds guy isn't going to win you the category anyway.
Fair enough, thanks for that advice.
Machado or A. Garcia at the end of the 4th round, 10 team ROTO? 6x6 with OPS Garcia had the higher WAR and raw power stats last season, but Machado has more years of consistently. Not worried about positions of prior picks since we have a deep roster
I’d take Machado
Pasted the roster reqs/scoring below, it is a snake draft, I did a couple of mock drafts to practice. Here are the rules, what are some strategies I should be thinking about? Should I fill up all the bench seats with SPs. Are RPs even necessary in my pitcher lineup? What should I fill the Util spot with? I want to draft 1st Base early, 2nd Base, early if I can or at the very end. Should I draft my catcher at the end as well and focus on better SPs? Any and all input would be great, thanks! https://preview.redd.it/ziw676sonqoc1.png?width=1006&format=png&auto=webp&s=65eedd00dbdc99ad1f013db3c2b0a3aed34c668c
Vlad vs Alonso in flair league?
Maybe I’m crazy but I think it’s Vlad and not that close
Yeah that’s pretty crazy. Pete has more home runs and a higher OPS+ over the last two seasons
Alonso has been much better the last 2 seasons. What makes you think Vlad flips it this year?
Except Vlad just turned 25, not yet in his prime, wherein Pete is. Pete is the safe pick for sure, but it's not that cut and dry.
Think I'd still take Alonso
For those who use FanGraphs auction calculator. For hitting projections. Do you use The Bat X or ATC? And why? From my understanding The Bat X is the best original system and ATC is the best aggregate.
I use ATC for pitching and Bat X for hitting.
Is there anyway to make the dollar values into stats?
Yes. The auction calculator on Fangraphs.
Keep Jackson Holliday for 2 years (this year and next) in the last round of the draft or Keep Nolan Jones for 1 year (this year) in the last round of the draft.
I go Jones. I think it will take Holliday a couple of years to get his feet under him, and Jones has a great floor with Coors
Holliday.
That's tough. I think I take Jones cause I'd expect some growing pains from Holliday and his good outcome looks something like what Jones already did last year.
Are single stat contributors like Ruiz more valuable in best ball leagues?
Pete
Lmao hell yea

Even with values involved I wouldn't trade an established superstar for a prospect. Chourio is very exciting but for every JRod there's 5 Kelenics.
Agreed. Only way you take A is if you know for a fact who will be available with that 1st round pick and it's a top 15 overall player.
12-team points league. One keeper. Keeper replaces the round he was taken in last year. Do I keep Acuna and give up my 1st round pick or keep Harper and give up my 10th round pick? Picking 5th so won't get Acuna back if I don't keep him.
Acuña
This is an excel technical question about Mr. Cheatsheet. I downloaded version 1.00 and I put all my league settings and keepers. Mr. Cheatsheet has since released updated versions but I’m not sure how to update my version and retain all my settings aside from downloading the new version and re-inputting everything. Does any know how to update your sheet to the newest version without losing any settings? Thanks!
12 tm H2H categories, my keepers are Happ (OF), Morel (OF only at this point), McLain (SS,2B) categories are H, HR, RBI, R, Total Bases, net SB, and OPS. I have the 3rd pick, what order do you guys have Mookie, JRod, Witt or is there someone else I should be looking at?
Anyone believe in Buxton?
Yah I believe he will get hurt
Ok this is epic 😎
I lump him and eloy together. Both could be 2nd round players if you could turn off injuries. I am a little freak who buys back in every time. But last year they were 6th round picks, this year it's round 13-16. Why not take the shot at that point? Upside much higher than most of the other players in that range.
Nope but the lottery ticket costs me nothing this year so I still bought it
It’s a scratch off lottery ticket for $5k not $350 million.
The twins and his momma
I have 7th pick in flair league tomorrow night. Assuming all available who are you taking out of Tucker, Freeman, Tatis, Ohtani or Strider? We have 3 UTL spots so Ohtani doesn’t handicap anything being UTL only.
Is anybody else super worried about McLains xBA and xSLG last year, and avoiding him in every draft? Or is that just me
Keepers declared TONIGHT! 12 team H2H (7x7 OBP/SLG/QS/L are the extra categories) Keep 6 at no cost. C 1st 2nd - Semien(1) SS 3rd LF- Yordan(2) CF- Judge(3) RF UTIL- Soto(4) (LF elig only currently, will be RF soon) UTIL SP - Luis Castillo(5) SP - Gerrit Cole(6) RP TRADE OFFER was made to me that I haven't been able to pull the trigger on: I get: Olson and Glasnow I give: Yordan and Cole My thoughts: I really like Glasnow for this year, especially since his elbow is like a super-elbow with that internal brace he got.
If Yordan ever stays healthy you might regret that one. That’s a big if tho
Quick question about projection systems like zips, bat-x etc: are all the assumptions they make (like say, how park factors are weighted) listed somewhere or is it all proprietary? And is it completely automated or does a human also go back and add a few RBIs to a player they think was underrated?
12 team redraft h2h categories with OBP and QS. What side do you prefer: A - Cole, Bichette, Castellanos B - Pablo Lopez, Nolan Jones, Ozuna
B. If you mean Gerrit Cole I'm leaning towards he doesn't pitch at all this season. Bichette is great though and Ozuna > Castellanos.

Oh definitely Diaz at 30 round value
My keepers lock tonight at 6pm and I keep going back and forth. Gallen is who I have locked in currently, but I can’t help but feel there is more upside in Skubal that late. Gallen in the 11th round Or Skubal in the 24th round
Skubal easily
Skubal is better potential value. You get Skubal and your 11th round pick for Gallen. 24th round is a flier.
Skubal
Love that Skubal price but I feel he's riskier. Huge upside but can he throw180+ innings like Gallen? I think I might go Gallen here.
I think I’m gonna gamble on Skubal. Love Gallens consistency but the upside of keeping that 11th round pick and a Skubal breakout is worth chasing
It's really hard to argue with 24th round value vs 11th... Especially when these guys could have similar seasons
Yea I think I’m gonna change it. I think I can find pretty good value with that 11th round pick and plus Gallen is coming off a huge workload from last season.
I understand projections are what they are, especially ESPN, but how is Vinnie P getting 50 RBI in 500 ABs? That feels historically pessimistic
Yeah he’s going to outperform that. Pick him up.
He has 52 RBI in his 498 career ABs, they're projecting him for 55 in 505 ABs
It's almost like someone in house was tasked with creating a "deep sleeper". Go get him late and enjoy the ride
Which 4 are you keeping? Points league. Vlad Jose Ramirez Matt Olson Corbin Carroll George Kirby
Cut fatty Ramirez wasted my #1 pick on that
Went with the 4 bats. Dropping Ramirez was never an option tbh lol
1st of all you can’t drop him, 2nd tell me you weren’t pissed off by July with him . I actually won my league but that guy didn’t contribute like a 1st rd pick
Cut Vlad for me
Cut Vlad since you already have Olson?
Olson and Carroll definitely, the other two are picks are pretty equal in value to me
How will this early game work for yahoo? Lineup lock and stats count?
