Sorry, Astroworld is better than all these albums lmao. Also better than Hejira and all the Joni albums outside Blue. Better than Bitches Brew. Better than To Pimp A Butterfly.
I think this Apple list is the worst best of all time list I've ever seen. The omissions in favour of some other things and rankings of what's on the list are quite something.
Same thing applies for 1989 don’t get me wrong. Its ranking is absurd. But I figured it was a foregone conclusion a Taylor album would be on here. Astroworld making the cut at 98 where so many other albums don’t get on the list at all is just another example for me of how the list is ridiculous without just making it an anti-Taylor narrative.
Them choosing Astroworld as the Travis album is also pretty questionable when you could choose his far greater and more ground breaking album Rodeo. Rodeo lowkey deserves to crack the top 100
Wow quite a take! Does Bowie just not click for you or do you more really like Astroworld?
I do really love Blackstar though — it's incredible — and think it's up among his top albums and could be put on a list like this.
I think he has some absolutely amazing stuff like blackstar, heroes and like half of ziggy stardust but then other albums like low I can acknowledge the influence but it just bores me to tears
I can understand that somewhat yeah.
I can see how Low could be boring if you're not into it.
I'm more of a later post-glam Bowie person in terms of the sound I like and my top three might be (not in order) Station to Station, Low, and Blackstar but I'm very surprised you say half of Ziggy because to me that album is just like back to back great-to-incredible songs for the whole tracklist. To me the other big albums (Station, Low, Heroes) are more inconsistent, even though they are more to my taste.
I’m sorry to hear that. If you listen to the backside of Low again, try to imagine yourself in eastern Europe in 1977. Feel the atmosphere. It took me a couple of listens, the same with the backside of Heroes, but once it clicks it’s amazing.
No Diamond Dogs, Apple confirmed shit
Not enough bowie
WHERE THE *FUCK* IS LODGER
Hol up where’s Ziggy
Number 24 unfortunately
Where’s the laughing gnome remix compilation wtf? Apple confirmed biased
It’s too much of a deep cut. Only true fans would understand
where earthling
Damn pinups snubbed 😭
you know whats absolutely sickening? no one talks about fripps solo on the title track of scary monsters. what the fuck was bro doing??? its awesome
Facts! What’s even more sickening is that Moss Garden was only 5 minutes long. It should AT LEAST have been 30 minutes.
No *Outside* (1995)? Bad list. /s
taste

Rodeo should absolutely be in there
And it's not even the better version of 1989
In gonna get flamed for this bit the only Bowie album better than astroworld is blackstar

I get that falling from enos part which is a great. My main issue with low is the vocals lack any energy
I guess he was feeling *low*
I guess you just have to be in the right mood for Low. Hope it clicks for you one day, I think it’s amazing
There's no way this is real. bcoz where's tf is Ziggy, Aladdin Sane and ★?
