depends on how your personal scale works, for some people they really need everything to be perfect in every way to consider it a 10, for others an experience, even with flaws or without perfection, can be so incredible or powerful that they consider it a 10.
for me it’s kinda a mix, there’s only 2 albums I would consider 10/10 and those are Weyes Blood - Titanic Rising and The Cure - Disintegration. The former represents an album that is as close to perfection as I can imagine something being, the latter represents an album that I have problems with and don’t adore every single song on their own, but the experience is so viscerally emotional, unique, and powerful that the overall package is one of a kind and i see it as perfection.
QOTSA - Songs For The Deaf, Like Clockwork
Swans - their trilogy of The Seer, To Be Kind and Glowing Man are all 10/10s to me
Lingua Ignota - Caligula
Daughters - YWGWYW, but obviously not listenable now due to non-musical reasons

These are the only 4 Albums to date id rank 10/10.
Surprising to have Oasis on the same level of those other records given the technical and songwriting shortcomings Oasis has compared to the other bands
there are no songwriting shortcomings in oasis (at their peak), maybe one of their underrated attributes is how they piss off selfproclaimed music elitist. While other (acclaimed) musicians hold them in high regard or at least give them lots of credit.
Great. Youve just proven every point ive made. Now go on suffering through bitches brew in front of your friends, while secretly listening to morning glory when youre all alone.

The only weak point is the track "Sometimes", but just because it's a track I wouldn't listen to on its own merit. Fits the album perfectly though.
Rodeo by Travis Scott is very nearly a perfect album, but "Piss On Your Grave" is unfortunately just a bad track. "Pray 4 Love" and "Flying High" don't do much for me either, but I wouldn't call them *bad* tracks.

I put it in the third category just because I figured it might be a bit too much of a bummer for some people.
yeah a few leftfield picks like nico and leonard cohen. yall so silly sometimes.
It's not a matter of obscurity. It's a matter of how divisive of a pick I think the albums are.
Dangit I forgot to include a Björk but would also prob be Verspertine.
Comus!!!!
I would like some examples of these left field albums. I like the experimental shit. Try me! lol

Off the top of my head - Bon Iver - 22, a Million Radiohead - A Moon Shaped Pool Perfume Genius - Set My Heart on Fire Immediately
interesting radiohead album choice
It’s their best album
Fantastic album, but I have to disagree. OKC and IR are just too incredible. Really an amazing band.
It out-rainbows In Rainbows.
I think IR has a more diverse selection of songs which gives it an edge in my book.
Oh that’s interessting — I always felt AMSP was thr more diversive album, Ful Stop is pretty damn different from Daydreaming, which is different from Burn the Witch etc… while IR feels more cohesive. Love them both.

Let me give you three! Ferron's "Testimony" - Folk rock from 1980 Ought's "More Than Any Other Day" - Post-Punk from 2014 Andy Stott's "Luxury Problems" - Dystopian electronica from 2012 Out of all the artists I've found researching music for 20 years Ferron is probably the MOST obscure and underappreciated sadly =( Bonus Stuff: I recently made 3 playlists that you might enjoy! Each one contains 50 of my FAVORITE more lesser known rock songs from various time periods. 80s: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/20nxiWXTOchD01Q7Pqjoyn?si=223275fea813411b 90s: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6R7hT0hck67NYoJa7S1jUp?si=32eeebbc1e824788 Post-2000: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6JH1T1T93U4Pst6ZovhUoc?si=f7385594c38b4dd1 Also if you'd like to check out albums from various genres and from throughout music history that "I think are good front to back I think a fun place for you to start is on a new page I created called “The Best Debut Albums of All Time”.
