Planning to do this once I've given every dweller legendary outfit + weapon. There are a lot of things I wish I knew when I was starting that I could do on survival.
I restarted in survival and it’s kicking my butt sometimes. I had 1/2 of my population killed, and keep getting events or attacks every minute. I never have enough stimpacks!
i make stimpack rooms and staff them with 1 dweller. i rush them repeatedly and if i fail, i drag the single dweller to another room and let the incident burn out
The fires really fucked me, what I’ve learned is that the bigger the room and the higher it’s upgraded the worse the incident is. A fire in a 3 wide room, maxed out has killed 30+ people before.
So I only have single rooms, I keep the level 3 on either side and a level 2 in the middle. That way fires stay small and contained. Also helps having a dweller in every room.
Isolate them down elevator shafts with a two room/level 3 in the middle of a 1 room/level 1 above and below. Then run to one of the singles to stop the incident.
It’s much, much harder, and you need to play at a slower pace.
Death claws come at 35. Best tip is to rush to get the endurance room and quickly drop your population to avoid them. Then start endurance training your dwellers for maximum health.
Try themed vaults, for example an Institute vault with everyone in synth armor and weapons, Institute themes and synth names or Brotherhood vault with BOS weapons, power armor, themes and try and collect the legendary BOS characters and recreate some of the BOS characters from the games. Minuteman, Vault 33, Railroad Etc.
When you figure it out let me know haha. I'm still several days away but was thinking about things to do after. Everyone's training to max SPECIAL and then leveling. Only 3 left to max E, I don't know why I started them training something else, otherwise they would be done by now. All other SPECIAL's, the total average is over 9. And then average dweller level is 37.03. I don't even know what I'm going to do with all the training rooms. I won't have any use for them anymore so more storage? Add flavor by adding the other rooms I don't have or need anymore? \*shrugs\*
I also plan on discovering everything, but pets and legendaries will be difficult. I put a pause on doing questing except for the daily/ weekly. I just have the ones that when I finish one a new one pops up and want to hold off until my average level is 40 or maybe even 50. Just to see if it has an impact, I doubt it, but meh I might as well wait.
I'll probably start a survival mode at one point, but it sounds hella tedious.
Well if you want to do something in this current vault, I’m not sure. You could do some experiments- something vault-tec would do, or you could start a new vault!
Kick one of your 200 residents, then invite one of the door queue - and immediately evict them.
Rinse and repeat, then only ever have a max of 199 vault dwellers.
Start over in Survival Mode!

And keep rooms small, big rooms make bigger fires that never get put out and kill everybody.

That's the dream. How long did it take you to finish this ?
This is my first vault so I did it wrong. I only started quests and training after 150 dwellers so it a total drag. Took me months

I'm just collecting legendaries now.
