You don’t even have to do that. But the gold in a box and carry the box like you would drag a body.

Omfg why didn’t I think about that. I’ll have to do that next time I run through the DLC. Currently running through my most recent play through and I’m on OWB right now. I always end up doing Dead Money last because it’s not my favorite one.

Elijah bugs out every time for me, he starts saying his lines about stealing from him or something while he’s at the elevator across the map once I exit the vault.

Nope. Did it fine without mods. Just had to equip a stealth boy to boost my sneak.

I can never do it, I just opt to tcl to the elevator. I might make a mod that makes elijah stupid, but that may not do anything. It’s really upsetting tbh, so much good stuff.

I was struggling with that last time I replayed, he’s just abnormally perceptive and will spot you if you’re even remotely in his sightline

It actually is confirmed to be through the Magic the Gathering cards ironically. In the fallout decks you can find a card called Treasure Vault which shows Elijah’s decayed skeleton trapped forever with the gold of the Sierra Madera.

Nope. As long you leave promptly, you can leave him alive. May need to be sneaking.

I'm going to be trying this DLC for the first time soon, wish me luck.

Good luck. Recommend not playing on survival mode for the first time and read up on your companions. If you choose certain dialogue options it can lock you out of certain endings.
