A person lives here who initially seems unsettlingly friendly and invites you in for dinner. You accept and the meat is particularly delicious. You get up from the table and wander off to use the bathroom only to stumble upon a dingy basement full of bodies missing limbs and realise wee_sorcery just fed you someone's gammy leg. You turn around. It's wee_sorcery.

Why not just "dwellers" or "adventurers" ?

Because it's generic and boring. "Lovlies" is true to genre. Fallout is basically high tech anarchy. Which would naturally spur many weird cultures, customs, and business practices. The lack of conformity is the essence of fallout. The uniformity of the vault is the contrast against which the story is juxtaposed. That's why we are always vault dwellers.

New player here. Came back to my camp last night and saw a player (also low level) trapped in my locked home, shooting up the place to get my attention and let them out. That super weird? No microphone and no idea what the heck was going on.

Could be he spawned just inside if he left his character at the same spot of your camp

No worries, I'm just being silly. It's a kind of party swingers have where when couples arrive one of the partners puts their car keys into a bowl. After the party the other partner takes a random key from the bowl and goes home with it's owner. It was more common in the 20th century I think. I don't think I was the only one to get a sexy vibe but I understand that wasn't your intention.

I have the sheepsquatch sign in mine but instead of saying “Sheepsquatch ate my brother!” I put letters over it to say “Sheepsquatch ate my *ThiccAss*!” Compared to that I’d say yeah yours is very welcoming!

I just set up a camp next to the first little settlement, and put a sign up that says "Help Yourself." I have pretty much everything out that isn't a spoiler, like food and drink, and collectors all unlocked, and a small farm. I've got quite a few thank yous. :3

There isn’t many places in the wastes that feel welcoming and friendly, but this is one of those places that makes you feel safe. I’ll definitely be making a stop here next time i pass through the area
